My goal for this month was 75 miles but with only 42 miles done I not going to make it this time, I'm afraid that getting ready for Christmas and then a nasty cold over the holidays are the reasons for my failure but I'm not going to beat myself up about it, just going to get back out there and do better in January.
Congrat's to all those who have already achieved their goal.
Fabbina and Lonewolfrunner have both run over 1700 miles this year what a fantastic achievement congrat's to you both.
Hope you all had a good Christmas and all the best for 2015.0

Wow, a lot of you have met your goal or are very close!!! Nice job!!! To those that are out with injuries, I can empathize because that is how last year went for me. I hope that you are well soon!0
-
5 miles in the snow today. I don't think I will be doing that again. I either injured my calf or am just about to. I think it's better for me to just suck it up on the treadmill when there is snow on the ground. 0 0

Thanks! This was a pretty good year of running for me... but I have been checking your miles and you have put a ton of time and miles on your feet as well! I have to squeeze out the last few here this year to get to 1,800... then off to break past 2,000 in 2015...My goal for this month was 75 miles but with only 42 miles done I not going to make it this time, I'm afraid that getting ready for Christmas and then a nasty cold over the holidays are the reasons for my failure but I'm not going to beat myself up about it, just going to get back out there and do better in January.

            Hi everyone!
I just came across this group and would be very interested in joining if it's not too late? I use to run a lot in the past and really miss it. These days, I typically run about 3 days a week indoors at my school gym to release stress and anxiety; but I want to gradually increase my mileage and improve my time. I would begin the week of Jan. 11th. That's when I'll have my new running shoes and will resume classes.
Ultimately, I'd like to run another marathon once I'm done with my program! It would be great to have a group of pals to check in with! Plz feel free to add me as a friend!! 0 0

Got in 4 today. Yippee!!! I have been eating way too much and now need to "pay for it". Lol. I'm looking forward to the next year and to get back in a routine. This is the first new year that losing weight is not a goal. Last year at this time I was 32 pounds heavier and pretty unhappy when I looked in the mirror. Today, I am thrilled with how I feel. Running weekly/daily is the best tool for maintaining my weight. It helps to love running. Happy new year!!!!

Welcome - A new challenge thread will be created for January.
@fabnine - LOVE the new picture.
Congrats to everyone who passed their goal already! Everyone is doing great. I'm still sidelined with a pulled muscle. I think I have some other issues going on, I talked to a few people who think I have Piriformis syndrome. Bascially my piriformis muscle is beating up on my sciatic nerve. I'm going to stop by and see the trainer at my daughter's high school so he can give me some exercises to help "uncontract" the muscle.

Thanks! I likely won't reach this month's (much lower than usual for me) goal either. My goal for this month was 75 miles but with only 42 miles done I not going to make it this time...
Fabbina and Lonewolfrunner have both run over 1700 miles this year what a fantastic achievement congrat's to you both.
I set a goal for myself of 1000 miles this year. It sounded like an impossibly high number.
Then I went out and ran. Here I am after 15 years of not running, at 1,700. I'll trade gladly 185 this month for the knowledge that my own 2 feet have carried me this far. I hope you look at your year's accomplishments the same way!
I'd like to see the wolf lounging on the sofa watching soaps with a big baby bump. That's quite the picture you paint there! And @Runningmischka You're doing beautifully. I'm so glad you're little one is growing well.LoneWolfRunner wrote: »

Sorry your leg is still giving you pain, but really glad you've got an idea what's wrong and how to fix it. Hang in there girl, a little more rest and some pt and you'll be running again in no time!0

Sorry to hear about all of the injuries. I hope everyone gets healthy and back on the road soon.
I need to squeeze one more run in to get my goal. The forecast doesn't look too promising. I think I've healed up enough to push my mileage back up again next month.
