    My two week weigh in:
    SW 184.2
    CW 181.4
    GW 164.2
This is so agonizingly slow compared to the swimsuit season dieting I did in my 20's. Does anyone else feel they are spending way more time shopping, preparing, cooking and cleaning up in the kitchen? Reading cookbooks, searching the internet for recipes and finding acceptable substitutes for traditional ingredients.

I used to that too. I decided to pare down my choices. Find a handful of recipes that you enjoy and just stick to those. If you get bored find one recipe to put in the rotation. You will find you can prep, etc. when you are using the same ingredients each week. Much more efficient. I am a working mom with an hour commute each way. I HAD to figure out how to prep easier and this worked for me. You can do it!!

Thank you for the advice. I will pick a week's worth of foods and stick to them until I feel I have more time. Right now, any spare time has got to go to exercise, because that is my real trouble spot. Wish there was a supplement that made me love moving. lol

Wow. So many posts! I've got the diet under control with lots of healthy choices in the house. Now I need to double up on the exercise, I think. With back problems, walking is all I can manage right now, but trying to stay consistent with it. Getting impatient to see the scale move.

Welcome to the world beautiful Grayson!

Ended up getting some popcorn at the cinema, which wasn't a wonderful idea but I'm not going to let that break my stride! The scales might be up a bit more than expected tomorrow from all the salt though. Woke up this morning and went back to my morning run, now that the weather is above freezing again here. Plan is to still go to spin class this evening as well to help work off those extra popcorn calories. I hope everyone has a great wednesday!

Sophie...I love going to the movies, and movie popcorn is something I will NOT give up! I plan for it in my diary and rather than get a bucket like I used to (shared with DH), I get a medium bag. The day I go, I usually drink more water and do not eat any starchy carbs. I went a few weeks ago, had popcorn with no gain the next day nor did it hinder my loss for the week. I think planning for those kinds of treats keeps us from feeling deprived and helps us to better able to cope with staying on our plans.

Good morning, challengers and new people!
Happy Wednesday and Happy Hump day for those of you who work!

I'm just peeking in before I go to the gym. Today is lower body strength training and then the pool. It is supposed to be another sunshiny day, and we are looking forward to it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, productive, and mindful day!
    Stay strong!

There is something quite special about movie popcorn isn't there? It just tastes better than regular microwave popcorn! I got a medium bag last night and decided that I'm not going to weigh myself today and will just weight myself as normal. I don't go to the cinema very often so sometimes you just need some popcorn! I'll keep in mind for next time to drink extra water the day I go as well as the next day!
