Do you think it is inappropriate..

As long as it's no more than I'd see at my local swimming pool, I don't have a problem with it.0

Well, sometimes, it's like "okaaaaaay then" when I see some of the pics on here. Then again, if you have that much body confidence, go for it!0

that depends on the context I guess. If someone is trying to show differences, and they are showing pictures to emphasize those differences, I imagine it's ok. How us moderators usually do it is, if you wouldn't show your Mother a picture, don't post it on here.0

Agreed. I love seeing the difference but don't think some of the "underwear" pictures are appropriate....maybe I'm old-fashioned though.0 -

i agree0 -
I too am old fashion. There is a difference between a bathing suit bottom and underwear. I don't want to see it here. Like the gentleman before me said "if you would not show that picture to your mother [or your pastor]:noway: it don't belong on here. Like I said I am old fashion and proud of it.:happy:0

I'll drink to that! :drinker: :drinker:0 -
I have no issues with it.0
-
I dont want to see it, but thats me.0

depends on the context. My other half sending pictures of his butt to another girl, yeah, id have an issue with, but seeing pictures of peoples butts clothed, in a general context, or before and after pictures of weight loss for example, no, i wouldnt have a problem with.0
-
it doesn't bother me because of the context -it's people wanting to show how much weight they've lost and with clothes out of the way it's easier to show.
Admittedly, i won't ever be doing that cause i'm a prude! lol!0 -
Does not bother me. Each to there own whatever makes them happy.0

Agreed.0 -
personally, i think that when you do stuff like that, people get the wrong idea of you and you get attention from the wrong kinds of people. i'm very conservative though, and i would MUCH rather someone say "hey, you're profile is really interesting" then "hey, nice tits".
if you think you have a nice butt, and you want people to see it, then take a full body shot that shows off your butt without it looking trashy or offending people.
BUT....if you WANT that sort of attention, then go for it! it you want people to tell you how sexy you look, that's fine. but you have to expect the different kinds of attention it's going to receive as well.0 -
I think it depends on the intent.
I don't necessarily like the underwear pics because I don't find their taste in lingerie/undies to be good. I have seen many pics with dirty bras and that's just nasty...god knows what the underwear is like.
Personally, I don't think posting yourself in underclothes on the internet is very smart, unless you cut your head/face out of the picture. If I'm goin' down, it won't be because of a pic I posted to show progress.0 -
It doesn't bother me at all, except for when I log in at work. There are some that people would really wonder what website you were on, if they passed by.0

This.
Though I would imagine if my husband was trying to seduce someone, the very last thing to do would be posting pictures of his naked butt. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but....well, it's not really a turn on is it?0 -
good point...i'm also a teacher, so it's all about how things "look" on the internet. if i have a picture of me on facebook with a drink in my hand, it would "look" bad, even if i just had a glass of wine or something at dinner....it's just not something i can do...0
-
I'll admit, the first time I saw an underwear picture under the success stories I was like, whoa what the...?! Lol I felt kind of pervy looking at it. I get that it's the same as if you were in a bathing suit, but personally I would not do it. These pictures are 100% public so I would rather my co-workers or clients stumble across a picture of me in a bikini than my bra and panties. Just my personal preference. I'll save the sexy lingerie photos for my boyfriend.0

 Exactly!!!0 -
I have posted a pic in my underwear although I dont feel it is revealing/showy as such because I have shorts style underpants on and a bra so it is no more revealing than a bikini.
Im not the type of person to be bothered by other peoples opinions and I am not ashamed of my body im afraid even though I have an extra 5 stone on board. I am who I am.
I dont really see how it differs from a bikini really?
If people choose to show what they have achieved in the form of a picture well then that is their choice, In reply to the post it does not bother me, no.
If you happy with what you have, why should you care what other people think??0 -
I have no issue with it,have seen some that I thought looked very good and some others not so much but you know what....there is always the back button to click if one doesn`t like something here.
It works for me. :drinker:0 -
The underwear pictures are usually posted for a reason. Either someone put a lot of work in to that body part and they are proud of it, or maybe they are using that picture as motivation as this is going to mine.
It does not hurt my feelings to see them. I would prefer to see real pictures of the hard work people are putting in to their bodies in here, but that's just me.
Some of the pictures that were 'reported and removed' actually covered more than some swim-wear I have seen. Maybe not all of the pictures were ... let's say artistic. The way I see it is when someone freaks out for seeing a body part on a fitness site the problem is internal not external.
Peace and love to you all, and may you all find body parts that you take pride in!! :drinker:0 -
I don't usually have a problem with it. I don't see the point of it, most people are not going to be seeing you without your clothes on. And they are still going to notice the weight loss. But whatever floats your boat. But there have been some pictures here that have just been awkward. Eww-y.
hmm just had a thought that I'll have to think some more on. It's almost showing a mind set of "look how skinny I am" instead of "look how healthy I am"0 -
I like it! i like the confidence that's behind it. If I see a girl with an amazing body, I'm impressed and motivated. No probs with it at all.....0
-
Doesn't bother me at all. For me personally, I don't know if I would or wouldn't post one of myself. I guess it would depend on the picture. There's a differencve between tasteful and, well, whorish though. No problem with tasteful pics to show progress or if someone is just proud of how far they've come. There are other pics, though, that are clearly just for attention.0
-
I don't have a problem with it, but that might be a cultural issue, I live in a country that is a lot more relaxed about stuff like that, after all we have naked women in our national newspapers every day, so someone in a bikini and or underwear is very light weight to me.
I only have one caveat, and that is that they are posted for before and after and not just for titillation....iykwim0 -
whoops double post...sorry :flowerforyou:0

All I have to say is Toga Party! Just Kidding ... No I dont think its inappropriate to show off your body in something akin to bathing suit fashion be it a suit or underoos. . It doesnt bother me at all, clothed or otherwise, I dont get offended by nudity if God intended for you to be clothed you would of been born with fur! lol
