What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? went to the Y on a Sunday. Last week was a good week for me. My workouts increased and my stress level decreased. Amazing how that works. Tough week ahead of me - expecting 24"+ of snow tonight/tomorrow and it's the week my mom got sick and passed away last year. She had stomach bug symptoms on the Tuesday and passed away on Friday from complete organ failure. Not a day goes by that I don't relive those days in my mind. Miss her so much! My mother hated winter and the snow. I believe this blizzard that is heading my way is my mother's doing.

Mood today? discouraged, not getting in enough exercise, had to cancel personal trainer today because I have to drive my dad home from radiation. I'm happy to be able to do that, but it is making life a little chaotic and stressful. My dad has 2.5 weeks left of radiation and chemo and is struggling with the side-effects. He can't drive anymore because he is too weak (and my mom only has one eye so can't really drive on the freeway or in St. Paul), so they are arranging rides to and from treatment. And now this week he has to have extra hydration every day so his schedule is unpredictable so I am driving more since it is easier for me than others. Luckily I have very flexible work so tha I"m able to do it .. but it does make it hard to have a routine for anything.

THANKS all for the well wishes for my dad. He can't do any more chemo sessions because his platelet and hemoglobin levels have dropped too much - so he will miss the last two treatments, but they say the radiation is more important anyhow and he will continue those through next week. So it is scary that he can't finish the chemo but also good that hopefully he won't be feeling as bad. He has to have a blood transfusion today to try to improve his lab numbers. That too should hopefully help him get more energy back. He is getting close - just a week and a half left of radiation. The good news is that the tumor in his neck is gone at least to the touch, won't know if it is completely gone (and gone from the lymph nodes too) until they do another pet scan. But hopefully the treatments will have done their job!

MJohnson - Years ago I had a kidney stone and had to have it blasted. It was in a place
- that it wouldn't come down to get rid of it. Very painful. I hope you feel better soon.
