How did you manage?
I am so grateful to my mom. She has made serious changes to her cooking to accommodate me, and then she started losing weight too and has kept it off better than me! She cooks dinner for our family once a week. I am super proud of her. It took me about a year to bring her around though, and she was very cranky about me not eating her food! LOL

I did it! No sugar yesterday! Little did I know, until 9 pm, that GS Cookies weren't even an option... the boys had eaten them all!
So some things have become habit for me already this year - I don't need to write a daily goal for them and that makes me so happy... logging all my calories almost every day, avoiding sugar, staying close to my macronutrient goals (protein, carbs and fat).
My daily goal will be something that is not a habit, and will be a bit of a challenge.

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I guess we all need to cheat once in a while.
Just for today
1. I will eat only my calories and log everything that goes in my mouth.
2. I will get out and walk today.
3. I will drink plenty of water. I have been shooting for 4 water bottles full. A total of 96 oz.0 -
Yesterday's goals were successful! I had good snacks that were nutritious and fit in my allotment for the day and I did not eat after 8pm.
Just for today - Sunday Feb 8th...
- No donuts at church!!!!
- Snacks under control
- Dinner will be late so it may be after 8pm but eat as early as possible!

Ok seem to be on track with my calorie intake spread over the weekend (had dinner at a friend's last night). Looks like I'll even hit my gross calorie target as an average over 2 days, plus I did a 2 hour walk today so still well on track provided I just eat my planned meal tonight.
So for 9th Feb:
1. Get to bootcamp whatever the weather
2. Get a really really early night to help manage the v early start I have on Tues (often eat more when I'm tired).0 -
Yesterday was a success I made time to exercise. Just for today I will drink plenty of water and get in my 30 mins cardio. I am so grateful to have found this thread you are all so motivating, it's awesome!0

First time posting. I've been slacking lately. Weddings, biz dinners..... Just for the rest of today I will rest, exercise, and abstain from eating after 8pm.0

-No more than 2 drinks with friends (FAILED on this one. How do you guys cope when everyone around you is guzzling beer and nachos?)

Hi... I find 5 hat ordering sparkling water with plenty of ice and lemon gives me the feel of a fun drink without the calories. And alcohol free beers are also a good alternative and lower calorie.
Chin up... It was only one day and you can get right back on track from now. :-)0 -

1. Really need to catch up with my steps--had to rest due to leg pain, but now I feel really behind--10,000 absolute minimum.

Trying to lose weight on the night shift is no joke! I slept most of the day yesterday, which was great for not over-eating... not so great for exercise.
