I used to think I was so so so fat when I was a size 12-14. Like, "no one would ever love you" fat. Now I am a size 20-22 and I look back on my high school years and I wish I had realized that I looked pretty damned great and I'd -love- to be that size today. I'd be so confident. As it is no matter how much my husband says he loves me, I think I'm hideous. I just love horrible food so much...

RIGHT?? I wish I could go back and tell my high school/college-aged self to stop beating herself up.

(And in that same line of thinking, I should appreciate being the size I am NOW as well.)

I stopped buying snacky foods to try and curb my 7 to 10 pm "grazing". Last night I mowed down a plate of cheese and crackers.

I now eat 4 smallish meals per day - averaging 400kcals each. When I get home, I know I have 2 meals to come which helps with the extra curricula snacking.

My scale is tared to 5 pounds above zero.

It makes me feel better that I get to subtract 5 off the reading.

I love this idea, why didn't I do this months ago!

At the TOM I give myself permission to eat at maintenance for a few days to make it more bearable (I become a ravenous crazy fiend for 1-2 days), but after a few months at this eating at a deficit business, I almost look forward to those days where I can eat a bit more, even if I am a lunatic at the time.

I cooked a buffet for my family last weekend and I was doing so well not snacking until the bloody brownies came out of the oven.
I was just going to cut one small slice to give to my brother when it threw itself into my mouth, along with the rest of the WHOLE DAMN TRAY.
I told my mum I didn't have time to bake dessert. It was glorious.

Lol sounds like something I would do.

Yeah. I won't even open threads about how to "loose" weight.

Same. I die a little inside every time I read that.

I went on a cruise with my husband last month. I gained ten pounds, he didn't gain an ounce. I was so pissed I told him I had a UTI and couldn't have sex for ten days.

I laughed so hard at this, the dogs came over with concerned looks on their faces.

I've eaten premade frosting out of the jar before. I also eat cookie butter out of the jar. In fact, that's how 1.5 jars of cookie butter got consumed in this house... all but the 1/2 jar I used in a recipe.

What is cookie butter? BTW - great profile photo!

Imagine if peanut butter was made with ground up cookies instead. Now wipe the drool off your chin :D

    where do you get that?!?!?!?!?!?!

Are you in the US? Even Wal-Mart now has Biscoff spread in the peanut butter section:

No, I am in Canada..... :'(

Thank your lucky stars we don't have that stuff here!!!!

I accidentally typed they're instead of their the other day and before I could edit someone jumped my *kitten*.

I HATE when I notice a tyop after someone has quoted me. Irks me no end.

Today's confession is that I've already pre-logged dinner and I'm 400 over and I can't bring myself to care.

I'm trying to decide if your typo is legit or irony...

My day is pretty much over after drinking a bottle of magnesium citrate yesterday evening to get things moving.

I also like the lemon flavor mag citrate. I would totally drink it on the regular if it wasn't a laxative.

We're snowed in. I work from home. My deadline on the project I'm doing right now isn't until next week. I'm blowing off work all morning to watch a BBC documentary someone posted in the nutrition forum.

My eating is TOTALLY out of control. I can't seem to rein it in. I went actively hunting for Limon Flaming Hot Cheetos yesterday, intending to down an entire bag. Luckily, the store didn't have any. I did eat tons of chocolate, and ice cream, though.

Remember how Dustin Hoffman in the movie Rain Man could recall stuff from the phone book?

I'm like that with 90's music.

I drank most of a bottle of wine last night and ate half a box of girl scout cookies. Alone. Guess what I'm giving up for Lent O.O

I can't drink wine anymore. The other night I had half a block of cheese. A big block. Darn alcohol munchies.

Sometimes I see a new question I know I can answer and click on it, and it's in the weight gain section. I guess that's my true area of expertise!

This is funny. I think it's my area of expertise as well. Gaining weight is a no brainer for me. It takes me zero effort.

I are three giant triple chocolate cookies approx 400 call each on Friday and and a box of chocolates the day after. Yesterday I pigged out on pic'n'mix. Today, I am going to the pool in a bikini. Really hoping my tummy doesn't tell my secrets... The inner piglet ran wild for a few days.. Oops.

My confession is that I can't let different foods touch each other on the plate.

Last night I had a piece of chicken, some mashed potato, peas, and carrots. I had to very very carefully spoon the peas onto the plate so that they didn't roll away and get into the potato or go under the chicken, and if that had happened, I would have carefully picked them out. I then eat each type of food one at a time in a certain order: vegetables first (carrots first, then peas), then the potato, then the meat. Meat is always last.

I do not know what this says about me.

This is me exactly...I always knew my food didn't touch (even though I like casserole  ) ...The bit about eating everything of one kind and then moving on to the next, I did not realize until someone pointed it out to me, well into my adult life.

Agh, yuck. Don't eat that crap! (flaming cheetos) There's so many chemicals and artificial S*** in them, you can light one on fire and it will burn like a candle. Google and/or youtube it.

Confession of the day: I definitely implementing a strategy I read here this week. I ate 2 servings of dessert and split it over 2 days so as not to go over my goal. IDK why. I know over the week it would even out the same anyways, but I liked not seeing those scary red numbers. Gee, thanks guys!

My father died when I was 4, I have an older half brother who may or may not have known I existed and this past november, when I found out about him, I tried to contact him and he told me flat out he wasn't interested. I still can't fathom how someone wouldn't want to know their blood.

    HUGS for you!

Yesterday I was in the locker room about to change for yoga class, when I discovered I had forgotten to pack pants, so I ended up going home. Instead of changing my plan to a home workout, I just made dinner and watched Mulan with my dogs.

and now I have "How Can I... Make a Maaaaan... Out of Yooooouuuuuu" stuck in my head. Thanks!

Emotional eating is my downfall. So far, I have been able to keep it in check but yesterday the stars appeared to have aligned in a most sinister way, and I fell off the wagon. I fell far. :o

Not a protein or veggie was in sight. Carbs are my enemy and I was taken prisoner. Today, I am retaining more water than the Hoover Dam, but I look at it as a fresh start.

One step forward, two steps back.

I don't like being touched by anyone other than specific family members. When I do get touched, or get a hug or something like that i have to pretend that its ok but inside i'm counting the milliseconds until freedom.
