Boiling three large potatoes and covering them in butter and cheese, and having just that for dinner.0

Domino's Breadsticks. Oh yeah. There's a local pizza joint that does an even better (and worse for you!) version. The whole container, that's dinner. A bag of popcorn with a bottle of wine. Dinner.
In the afternoon I would get my "walk" down to the corner store to buy a can of pringles (or other salty snack) and a bag of peanut butter and chocolate something. Afternoon snack.
As a few people have said, I could still do that today, despite the 40 pounds lost, 40 to go. Not so much the breadsticks, that's too much bread for me now, but all the rest? Oh yeah. I wish.0 -

Working night shifts I would eat an entire large bag of Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips, plus 2 chocolate bars, and a package of Hot Tamales candies... 3x a week! Going back even further in history, I used to play WoW for HOURS at a time, and eat nachos with melted cheese, and a sour cream, salsa, cheese dip to go with it. Or when I worked in a call center and I would eat bulk candies all day long. Probably 500mL worth of candies per shift, 4x a week. It's actually a wonder that I didn't go past 200 lbs TBH...0

I never got the benefits of eating whatever/whenever I wanted....my weight gain was mostly the results of a hormone disorder (which is now thankfully under control) My weakness would be potatoes...anything potato. I also love the club lulu at Jimmy John's but that is a rare treat.0

Oh, and who could forget, I'd buy the store-bought icing meant for cakes (Duncan Hines, Betty Crocker, whatever) and eat the ENTIRE THING with a spoon.
Yes, really.
It's actually a lot harder to do this since they changed their recipe. It just tastes gross now (thankfully, because I did this too!)0 -
Between the ages 19-20 I was averaging 2 litres of Dr. Pepper and one or two 4-shot vanilla lattes every day. The amount of calories you can drink is shocking.
More recently it's BIG portion sizes (eating as much as my husband who is a good 6 inches taller than me and was gaining weight himself because of the portions), drinking large quantities of beer and assuming the way I felt afterwords for a few days was due to the amount of alcohol, and convincing myself that I can handle some dairy, because cheese, butter, and yogurt don't have that much lactose right? It's amazing- you don't feel like crap if you don't treat your body like crap.0 -
Drinking a whole 2L bottle of pop in one day. Eating out two to three times a week. Lots and lots of carbs, without even thinking twice about it. Movie night, once a week, consisted of a whole bowl of butter popcorn, a bag of twizzlers, and two chocolate bars, and a whole bottle of coke. Learning how to do everything in moderation!!! LOL0

I just like that fact that you are an avid bowhunter. I shoot recurves from the sixties. Good luck with your journey-both weight loss and in the field!0

I have done a lot of things that have contributed to my very many extra pounds. The thing that I am probably the most troubled and ashamed of is the fried chicken. I would go to the store or restaurant and buy an 8 piece fried chicken. I would start with the wings, then the breasts. If I was not stuffed I would move on the thighs. If I was stuffed I would peel the crust and skin off of the rest of the chicken pieces and eat it. Not a good thing physically, but it sure did taste good.0

Hi, I'm your brother from another mother.0 -
Oh, and I could easily go through 2 liters of diet Cherry Dr Pepper a day, and try to blame what I now understand to be an allergy/intolerance to aspartame on anything else.0

Grazing. I'm still a bit guilty of grazing... drinking my calories, whether it be sodas or the occasional alcholic drink. I enter pretty much everything that goes into my mouth and try to overestimate when I can't accurately calculate. I do not deny myself anything now if it fits into my calorie goal and I am pretty darn happy!0

Double Dave's pizza rolls. At least half a dozen in a sitting, absolutely coated in ranch dressing. And I confess - I actually lost weight eating those because I was eating like a bird otherwise and running all over the college campus.
I wish I'd gained my weight eating those, because it would mean I could get Double Dave's where I live now.
But no, it was mostly just eating out every meal every weekend when I used to go maybe once every couple of months, and picking at my plate because I'm a fast eater and like to nibble while everyone else finishes. Probably tacked on an extra 1500-2000 cals a week just for that.0 -
And the worst part is, I love to bake, and homebaked chocolate chip cookies are my go-to recipe. But I'd still buy the pillsbury stuff just to eat.
(Sometimes if I was feeling really desperate and didn't have any convenient junk food on hand, I'd whip up a batch of my own cookie dough and eat THAT raw. I didn't like to do that though, 'cause of the raw eggs.)0 -
spoonyspork wrote: »Remember the 'double decker' pizza hut pizzas? Yeah, my loose belly does! XD
(to be fair, that's ALL I ate all day when I'd have one. But I'd wash it down with a two-liter of sprite!)
dont remember the double decker.. but boy does it sound delicious! im a pizza freak!
You have no idea! It's two thin crust pizzas stacked on top of each other!
I make home-made pizzas this way now, but mine are the calories of one *slice* of those for the whole thing!
Oh, my other 'binge' from the past: raw pillsbury peanut butter cookie dough. The chocolate chip didn't do anything for me -- left a film in my mouth that was gross. Peanut butter though? Nom.0 -
Ate too much
Barely moved from the sofa
It's actually quite embarrassing how chronically lazy I was
I still eat large volumes and frequently but I log and even it out0 -
This was many years ago, but I went through a period where I would make an entire yellow cake with chocolate frosting, then take the whole pan in my room (I had roommates) and just eat it straight from the pan over a couple of days.
I also regret that I know the perfect ratio is 3 bags of ruffled chips to two containers of dip.0 -
Nightly bottles, I mean, glasses of wine.0
-
I dipped just about anything in ranch dressing. Most foods were just a vehicle for ranch dressing. I remember not making frozen pizza we had just because we didn't have ranch.0
-
I drank a lot of my calories, either pop or fancy coffee drinks. If I were to have some of the coffee drinks that I used to have now it would wipe out almost half of my calories.0
-
I used to eat McDonald's almost every single night before bed, milkshake included!0

I never was massive eater, but I was a SUGAR eater. I could go days without anything but pixie stix, gummy worms and lemonade. It's a miracle I have any teeth left.0

B: fast food burrito
L: fast food burger and fries
S: two for one after 2pm krispy kremes

Dinner would be a 12" pizza, king size m&m's, one can of pepsi, one can mtn dew...OR quarter pounder meal with orange hi-C, and a large cinnamon rolle. Snack on king size Reese cup (4 cups) and. 20ounce mtn dew. Wonder I'm still alive.0
