    600-800 calories per day

Cut me from a net positive - and of course gaining weight - to a net deficit and 1 to 1.5 pounds per week loss.

And still ended up eating around 2300 per day

Well, obviously calories. However, I did notice that giving up soda helped. Even though I was drinking diet soda it seemed to be keeping me from reaching my goals. I think the fake sugars messed with my body. I will admit the first 2 weeks without it was hard, but now I definitely feel much better without it.

I cut out buying lunch and dinner out, for the most part. Besides veggies, I try not to eat anything where I can't figure out the ingredients and the quantity. I would say my "diet" is much simpler than before I started losing weight.

Nothing. Just less of all the food.

so pretty and you look 20 years younger.

Or and portion, calories, fast food (real bad) and that included any of the restaurants with processed meals (Chili's, Applebee's, etc.).

See? Helping each other is what it's all about :)

To be fair, you posted a huge list of food in response to "what did you cut from your diet".

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this: Calories. I cut calories out of my diet and I lost weight.

Jk. but seriously though, I did.

Specifically, margaritas, alcohol, pizza, pasta, bagel bites, chips, rice bowls with meat etc.

Haven't cut out anything from my diet because I love food and drink, I just reduced my portions.

Agreed! This is what I've done and it's worked wonders.
