My goal weight might change depending on how I feel when I get closer to it.

I follow CICO with one cheat day per month, body weight training 3 times/week, run 30 mins 3 times/week.

I'm 5'9 my goal weight is 130 pounds. I'm doing 2 slim fast shakes a day and 1 lean cuisine frozen meal for dinner. Any tips? :-)

you should eat real food! i'm sorry, but that sounds so boring and hard to maintain. i would go insane. calorie-control and exercise really, truly works. no slim fast or lean cuisine necessary!

41, 6'0", male, 220 pounds, 23% body fat (was: nearly 270 pounds with @ 33%+ body fat a few years ago, and 250@30% just last summer). Current target weight is 195 pounds at around 15% body fat for this season's races; I'll re-evaluate when I reach it where I want to go from there. My goals are to be healthy, strong, and at a good triathlon racing weight for my height, not necessarily to have a "beach body" :-)

Currently on a "fat fast" for a few days to kick-start my ketogenic adaptation for longer distance running/riding. Google "faster study fat adaptation" for details on the science behind the approach.

It's challenging; I've started/stopped a half-dozen times before, but I also didn't fully understand why I was doing it or how it can help me reach my racing goals this season, either.

Fitness goals really help me stay motivated for fat loss.

My goal really is to fit into a fitted size 10 with no spandex. I can fit a stretchy 10 currently.

I got down to 140 at one point a few years ago and found that it was almost impossible for me to maintain because I had to eat so little to stay at that weight. This time around I'm focusing more on building muscle and just trying to get to a weight where I can say, "Meh, good enough" and then be able to maintain it long term.

My tip would be to start with small changes then keep adding them in. The goal is to get healthy and maintain it. I tried on skinny in 2009, got down to 130 pounds and a size 2/4. My methods were too drastic to maintain long term. Now I'm doing it my way and for keeps. Good luck. This is a hard journey, but so worthwhile! ☺️

My starting weight was 220lbs (though I lost 20lbs of that with the Special K diet and then kind of stopped trying). When I got serious about health and fitness, I was 196lbs. I"m 28 years old and 5'3.5". :)

My current weight is 114lbs and my goal weight is 110lbs.

Right now I do a loooot of running, strength training, and I've started eating cleaner. I sort of spent the first few years muddling through the process of weight loss by myself with no real guidance, just tips from the Biggest Loser. I spent all of last year in a plateau until I changed my diet, my workout, and joined myfitnesspal. But I'm learning more every day and doing better!

So curious, how long did it take you to get down to 115 from 220? (Or whenever you got "serious")

WOAH! Good for you girl! did you do all of that with just diet and exercise? How long did it take you to get down to 114?

Seems like I'm at a standstill now though, its so hard to get below 152 now. I eat right and exercise. Not sure what the issue is.

*I have NO idea how this will look, I probably weighed this much when I was 12. I still have some obvious fat that needs to disappear so I am focused on losing that at the moment. However I definitely plan on switching my focus to BF% and becoming a well built athlete vs hitting a certain number on the scale.
