Yesterday, 4.2
1. Log my food, no matter how late. This is an important step!
2. Drink water
3. concentrate on positives
4. Do not overeat. I only got 4 hrs of sleep last nite, and these are the days I want to graze all day. stick with planned food
I didn't get my food logged again -- have to work on this. I know it is a bad "choice" I am making. I did OK again all day until evening. Hubby went to DQ to get each of us a Buster Bar. That is like 470 calories. But I would have been OK, except that only led me to eat other stuff I should not be eating.
so Just for today, again ......
1. Watch my sugar
2. LOG everything -- even things I should not be eating
3. Imagine myself 20 lbs lighter.
I made my goals for March to lose 4 lbs. Unfortunately, I was unable to do that. I am UP 1 lb since March 1st. But --- I am NOT up 10 lbs or more. And I am still trying. That is what counts. To keep on trying, to never give up. I still have a goal to have those 15-20 lbs gone when I turn 64 in July. I can do this. I just have to make the choice to log my food, watch my sugar, drink my water, and exercise. It is not complicated, so I need to not make it complicated!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!0 -
“What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?” ~Dr. Robert Schuller
This is also in memory for Dr. Robert Schuller, who passed away yesterday. His sermons were always on positive thinking, being the very best we can be. That we can do anything we want to if we believe we can do it! So I know each of us are going to be successful at maintaining a healthy lifestyle!! We are all still here, all still trying!0 -

Just for Today 4/02
1. log everything
2. strength training Did 10 squats! The ones the strength training guy says are the perfect squat. Kind of like a frog sit to me.
3. 5 mins meditation
4. Find 5 things to be appreciative of today
This whole thing is starting to click. I'm sure I will have off days, but even when I tell myself I can take a break this evening, I end up putting on the walking shoes, leashing up the dogs and taking a shorter walk I started eating some of those exercise calories this week, and actually had a 3 lb loss!! Sooo, eating more, losing more. Pretty dang cool.
Just for Today 4/03
1. log everything
2. 30 mins cardio
3. enjoy a dinner out
I'm really struggling with coming up with good goals.

Then thought maybe I could just have 2 as that would be well within calorie limit.
That led to 2 more immediately. Then 4 more 20 mins later.
2 hours later I just sat and ate the rest.
Can't seem to stop when I've started, and every time I think I can control myself I'm proved wrong.
Feel sick and ashamed of myself.
In one fell swoop I've added around 1500 calories to my daily intake and wiped out all the good work I had done this week.
I can only regroup and start again.
Friday's goals:
- tune into stomach
- NO sugar. None.
- push at bootcamp to earn some calories for the evening
- eat well all day and sensible choices when I go out for the evening. ... am going to enjoy some wine
I can SO relate to how you feel. I am the same way. I get going so well, and am doing OK, and think maybe just 1 little dessert, or 1 piece of candy. But I know for me, it just does not work that way. I do believe I am addicted to sugar. Sugar makes me more hungry, makes me want more sugar, and makes it so hard for me to stick with healthy eating. I also am struggling this week. I will have 2 or 3 really good days. Then decide maybe a ice cream cone, or something, and then the damage starts.
But congrats to you for coming back. For not letting 1 bad day lead to 1 bad week, 1 bad month, etc. You are back, and I know you will do great. You are not alone -- I think so many of us have this same problem with sugar! You are doing so great!!
Thanks joan. Stayed off it today at least!0 -
