CHALLENGE FOR APRIL 2015 -- SAY "NO" TO NO LATE NIGHT SNACKING

Thanks for all the support here re: my partner. He is doing better but will take some time due to the infection from his procedure. Antibiotics will definitely help!
As for me, despite all the recent stress, I have only had 2 LNS episodes in the past 8 days and managed to lose 1.4 pounds in the process. I guess progress happens one little at a time and certainly 1 (or 2) nights of snacking doesn't hurt the overall goal, which for me is to drop some pounds.
Thanks and stay strong! And thanks to LamLam2013 for setting up this challenge!
Peace,

I was just going to start a thread for help on late night snacks when I found this. I hope it's ok to jump in so late. Hopefully this will be a monthly thread. So for starting last night...

Thank you for coming back, Jeff! Stress can sidetrack us all. Good job with only 2 LNS nights...that is commendable!

Stayed under my calorie goal for today but got involved with a snack attack and, if it weren't for exercising, I would have been over for the day.
One thing I'd like to see is when people post their results, add a short sentence of how you cope with late night snacking. I'm sure their are great ideas from everyone. I'll start ---
When I get the munchies and have no calories left in my account for the day, I go to bed early, even if it's before 8:00 p.m.0 -

One of the problems I have after cut-off time is that I sometimes will say to my partner that I need a glass of "water," when what I should have said if I were truthful, I am going to sneak a handful of peanuts or goldfish or the inevitable cookies that are about the house. I try and fill my glass before I head into the bedroom and then the kitchen is off-limits until the morning.
Peace,

I added last evening to LNS but I had a very sensible snack that I needed because my day's calories were too low. I could work on the timing of when I eat, but I have mixed feelings about eating in the evening. I will say this: Late Night Binge= 00 -

Thanks. It's an everyday struggle, and I take one day at a time.
