Does anyone know if the pistachio flavor is any good? I'm curious.

It's very... subtle. It's nothing to knock your socks off. Not bad, just nothing earth shattering.

Gotcha. When I'm faced with all the options I feel overwhelmed. Lol.

I love DQ ice cream. I get the midnight truffle blizzard.

I saw a commercial last night for Dairy Queens Salted Carmel Blizzard which looks like it has chocolate truffle pieces in it, clearly a shameless copy of our beloved Talenti... Anyone tried it?

I saw this commercial last night, too. Anything with truffles in it is a win for me, so I'll have to try this one for sure.

Probably while watching the Blues game like us!

That was one of the Blizzards I had in FL, and it was deeeeelicious!

I checked DQs website just to see what's up and I'm more interested in this than the salted caramel truffle.

I'm a sucker for anything with cookie dough in it though. It's a shame that the red velvet blizzard seems to be gone.

Trying to figure out why the blizzards are upside down on their site.

I don't think I've ever had one though...

They're turning them upside down when they serve them now as proof that they're thick enough to stay in the cup. You get it for free if they forget.

Unfortunately (Fortunately?) I can't do DQ frozen anything. I have a severe gastrointestinal reaction to that stuff. As in, if I eat a Dilly Bar, I have 15min to find a restroom, and will remain there an absolute minimum of 30min. I tried several times to get over the problem when I was younger. You know, because repeated experiments are required to confirm causation. But I had no luck.

I still have no idea what ingredient causes me a problem. I've never had any other non-dairy treat that caused me any issue whatsoever.

I had the same problem with Rita's last year. I spent literally an hour in the restroom afterwards. I'm not sure why...

Hah this is another thing I noticed on the commercial, @I_Will_End_You I said to my husband, "hey look they are copying off Ted Drewes!"

There's a famous St Louis place called Ted Drewes that serves frozen custard concretes and their thing has been to turn it upside down before they serve it to you to show you how thick it is, that place has been in business for 50+ years, I have no idea if other custard places do it but it's funny that DQ is now starting!

It's been a long time since I went to a DQ -- but several years back, and outside the US even in an international airport DQ, they were turning their blizzards upside down to show off before they handed it to you!

I didn't even think of that! I actually had Ted Drewes for the first time in a couple of years yesterday. Carmel apple pie sundae.

Ermegherrrrrrd! That looks really good. I may have to do a DQ cleanse.

I heard Ted Drewes has a new one this year, which is a knockoff of my favorite Andy's Frozen Custard Concretes. Pretzel Caramel Crunch - but I don't see it on their website. We haven't been yet this year. Might have to go this weekend if the weather is nice...

I get it all the time-- I didn't even know there was a recall. Maybe it was a regional thing?

Could have been a regional thing, I am in the north east. It had something to do with possible peanut contamination. I've tried at my Stop and Shop, Target and Wal-Mart and no one has it.
