The last 3 or 4 days seemed like I JUST couldn't stay away from snacks @ night. I didn't want to step on the scale this morning,
We took our grandson to the fair, not even close to smart food choices,
I'm going to seriously have to get this snacking under control!0 -

I brush and floss my teeth earlier in the evenings to quell the desire to snack because then I would have to brush and floss again. I drink lots of water too.
What other ideas help you to keep from the late night snacking? Post a little sentence below your stats for the month...0 -

Last night I came home at 8:45pm and was upset over something (nothing serious but enough to change my mood). Normally I would stop caring about challenges/weight loss/healthy eating but I just kept thinking of posting my results and stayed away from the kitchen. So thank you everyone for the great support in this challenge, I really needed it last night!0 -

Good suggestion, Jeff (MrJRamos) for suggesting we post suggestions.
What has helped me these last 42 days is I want to get a new hairstyle but refuse to do it until I've lost some of the weight I want to, so it's a goal I'm working toward. Also, my husband has been eating better, and that has been a motivating factor for me.0 -

I try to plan calories in my day for snacking later. If I can stop myself from snacking too much, it's a good day. I also bought a guitar to try and learn to play so I haven't been eating because I am bored. An enjoyable, distracting activity whether it be reading or something active is time spent not eating!
Peace,
Jeff0 -

Jeff, that's a great idea about the guitar, I've always wanted to learn to play. I play and teach piano but don't play as much anymore...I'll have to try some evening sessions at the piano as I do love playing and it would be a great distraction!0 -

I also agree about posting what's helping you about late night snacking, LOVE it! The last couple of days I've decided to eat dinner later. Plus, I find if I DO have something SWEET have it during the afternoon. Two days STRAIGHT, yay! Let's finish the month STRONG!!!!!!

I have been saying to myself that if I can just get to 9pm the rest of the evening is easy. So if my last snack is at 7pm then how hard can 2 hours be? Truthfully it is really hard (especially when I just baked banana loaf for my kids' lunches and it smells so good!!!).0 -

THIS thread is what keeps me on track! I also drink water or a cup of tea if I am feeling the need for something. The times I have strayed usually involved my hubby eating snacks right beside me...though I am so motivated by my progress that I have resisted his snacking ways0 -

I had too much pizza at dinner so I'm not really hungry for anything. I need to learn to not eat just because the clock says so. I'm working at breaking the habit of eating something before bedtime. That's my weakest moment and if I'm not careful, all the hard work during the day is for naught.
My partner has a sweet tooth and I think he is sabotaging my efforts at losing weight. He says he doesn't do it consciously, he's just offering what he's having. I told him to not offer and also that I wouldn't be offended if he doesn't offer anything to me.
Stay Strong Everyone!
Peace,
Jeff
