Read through some posts & just want to let everyone know how much I appreciate this thread. My thoughts & prayers go out to those of us who are struggling & gratefulness to MFPs who are willing to take the time lift others up.

Yesterday I picked up a pedometer & waterproof hiking shoes. Today I break them in!

Joan, I added 300lbs down to my reading list. She has a great sense of humour!

    JFT-
    10,000 on the new pedometer
Track all food (seem fine for breakfast & lunch) but fall off the wagon after lunch
    Drink 9 cups of water
    Gardening
    Be grateful & journal

    Enjoy the day!

Yesterday was a good day. My biggest struggle is tracking in the afternoon so I will pretrack today.

note to self...hiking shoes can be heavier than sneakers.
    JFT
    Walk 45 mins in sneakers
    10,500 on the pedometer
Water (added flavor water to change it up)
Wash comforters at laundromat & do push ups/crunches when no one is watching!
    Keep tracking
    Journal
Focus on the positive & get inspired!

I love your supportive, positive attitude, Sara. I practice positivity, and love to pass it forward. So well done, you, for all the inspiration you are giving others.

Thank you Terri. I just love this group!

Best of luck finding a great bike! I love mine.

Thanks you Sara! Do you have any advice for me when I go shopping?? I am open to suggestions!

I bought a Trek "comfort" bike 10 yrs ago -- Love it!! The seat is a little wider than the skinny seats that most have. I can easily ride 30 miles without my butt hurting! [/quote]

No Joke-I HAVE a Trek mountain bike that I fitted with an extra wide seat about 7 yrs ago! To funny. The original seat was the size of a thin slice of pizza.

Just adding to the "Just for today" thread, I think(!?) The prompts below, I found on another group here, but now can't find the group:--/ so am posting to this list, which I've visited and posted to before.

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? so far, yes
Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? yes
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? walked outdoors, brisk pace, hilly terrain, over an hour
What would I have done differently? healthier food
What is today's personal goals? Already walked. Will hopefully walk again @ night.
Did you try something new recently Greek yogurt, blackberries, green tea with lots of ketatin ( sp?) which burns fat. Special type with loads of the fat burning element. Pricey, so will gauge it.

Mood today? Super. The cardio is great, walking up mildly sloping hills is exhilarating, esp after done!

Celebrated Children's Sunday today at our church. Why do I get so weepy at these things?

    Garden for 1-2 hrs
    Call my parents.
    Make a healthy supper.
Take a ride to the beach tonight & walk.
    Try journalling in evening.

Have a peaceful & rejuvenating Sunday.

So... have had 2 weeks of mindlessness, dreadful eating etc.

And I hereby recommit to my weight and health goals. Part of this will be a daily commitment here as it helps me and recently I've got out of the habit.

    So, Monday's goals:
    - bootcamp
    - eat as clean and pure as I can for the day to recalibrate my system
    - be slightly under calorie goal for day
    - Come back, review and set new goals for following day

I've also committed to keeping the promises I make to myself no matter how small. So this will be a good indicator of that!

    :-)

    Just for today...
I will take an afternoon walk to meet my partner after he finishes work and walk with him home.
I will do an exercise video at some point throughout the day.
I will stay in the calories and try and work towards being closer to my target for the day.
I will make a big jug of unsweetened cold steeped tea.

Well i didn't set the bar very high for myself today and I washed out. I was a little over in calories and we cleaned house and did yard work today. It definitely wasn't much fun. I did do a really good C25K plus extra jogging this morning. So I'm giving myself a consolation smiley

    Good morning my lovelies.

    JFT Monday:
    1. Walk at lunch even though it's hot and sticky (that's why I brought an extra shirt, deodorant and a hat)
    2. Only one cup of coffee, but tea is acceptable. It was going to be none today, but that wasn't happening.
    3. Dinner and after work calories below 600. (oh wait that means measuring and weighing, oh the travesty!/sarcasm/)

Meet with personal trainer. Special deal at the gym & I've seen this trainer in action (she's great). I've justified the cost of getting a trainer by cutting way back on the junk food that enters the house...much to my family's dissappointment. I don't know if I'll just do 4-5 sessions or keep seeing her. No harm in trying!
    Prepack snacks.
    Make a healthy supper.
It's raining here in Mass. so a good day to clean!
    Journal & be grateful.

    JFT:
    1. Stay in cal limit
    2. Drink tons of water
    3. Go for 30 min walk

Graduation party went fantastically well :):) ...Over 100 people--about 60 (?) of them were kids playing ultimate frisbee in the back yard....more kiddos on the swing/playset--it was amazing to see so many children...and really no injuries! Great conversations, lots of food, a big bonfire to end the night...Did I remember to say lots of food?? LOL. I way over planned--anyone care for some coleslaw or potato salad?? I'm trying out to see if they freeze well (anyone have experience with that?) coz it is too much for even our family of 10 to consume! Luckily I am getting sick of party food :) , and alot other stuff is definately freezeable.

So, time to walk things off and drink a bunch of water!! I suppose walking up and down to the basement a dozen times to put stuff away will be good for me!

    Happy Monday all!!! :)
