well, i blew the weekend.. i continue to "start over" it seems... and my knees are hurting and it's 95 degrees outwside, so no running until this evening, which is when i will probably give up... Just for today, gonna stick to my known working strategies... slimfast, protein bar, almonds, water water water, vegies, and NO WINE!

So you are planning to fail? How is that working for you?

Or....azul..... you could say....it's probably best stay as positive as you can by setting goals that you can keep, deb! And good for you for falling back on tried and true basics when the going gets tough!

    1. Keep under 1200 calories. I did it! And this morning I am down 1lb.
    2. Go to patchwork group this morning. :) This was our last meeting until September. People brought cake! Argghhhh...
    3. 10,000 + steps. I had a busy day so had to go out at 10pm!

:) :sunglasses: Well, I can live in hope for the sunglasses :/ I didn't need the sunglasses today lol

    I'm keeping it simple today.
    JFT 17/06
    1. Stay under 1200 calories.
    2. Pre-plan menus. This should help with No 1.
    3. Drink 4 glasses of extra water and remember to log it.

    The present is a gift.
    Be mindful of each moment.

    1. "log" all food, even if it's just paper and I don't have the measurements or the calorie count :) paper log for the win.
    2. Only on cup of coffee
    3. Figure out by lunch after work plans -gym  [/quote]

    JFT Wednesday
    1. log
    2. brush/floss before bed
    3. cook chicken for salads, assuming I put it in the fridge. I really hope it's not sitting in the sink in a bowl of water to help defrost a little.

I will get my butt off the coach and go for a 30 minute walk in my neighborhood.

GREAT attitude! if you live in NC, like i do..... do it EARLY in the day! (forecast 102 today, yikes)

You must be in the eastern half. I am in the Winston-Salem area and it is supposed to be 98 -a record.

Yep. Raleigh. My poor garden is suffering terribly. I only water my favorite lovelies.

I'm new to this thread, but I like the idea of sharing and the added accountability. So...

Yesterday, I met my diet goals. I have a menu that I go through each day, and yesterday I had to deviate from it due to time and being away from home (didn't plan that far ahead and pack my third meal for the day). I stopped by a shoppette on base and picked up something healthy to eat. I had to wing it, but I still got in healthy protein and fresh veggies! That was a win for me.

Also, I did two workouts and felt really good. Did an upper body circuit that my last personal trainer wrote for me. I hadn't done it in at least a year, so getting back into it was a little demotivating. I'm not nearly as strong as I was pre baby! Still, I did both circuits twice and felt pretty strong on it. It was a good workout. About an hour later I had my second Muay Thai class. Awesome! Learned 3 different checks with the legs and learned what it feels like to beat the CRAP out of my legs (shins, primarily) kicking the heavy bag. Did 4 rounds of kicks on the heavy bag. It was painful, but glorious! I'm excited to go back again tomorrow.

Today is a rest day for me. I'm at home with my daughter making a father's day present for my husband. DIY beer coasters. Tomorrow is leg day again followed by Muay Thai. BOOYAH.

ETA: I also researched gyms I can go to while we're on vacation in Washington (state) during July. Determined to make this a lifestyle, even on vacation!

    Wednesday's goals:
    - Well under calorie goal to help mitigate today's overeating
    - Double bootcamp (which will help me achieve first goal)
    - Be mindful of the CHOICES I make in everything I do for the day

I wish everyone a great day and a moment (or more) of joyfulness and gratitude.

Achieved food and exercise goals. Need to work on the mindfulness.
    A good day!

    Thursday's goal:
    - hit calorie goal on a rest day.

When I achieve this, it will be the first time in a long time I've done it and by managing food intake alone. My body needs some rest after double bootcamp today!
Achieving it will show me I'm serious about hitting my August goal. .. and also this week's goal.
    I can do this!
