Good stuff but all in moderation

I try to substitute diced tomatoes instead

Since I don't eat fries much anymore, I only use ketchup to make cocktail sauce for seafood. Some Simply Heinz and a ton of horseradish! I make an individual portion at a time, and weigh them on my food scale.

Sadly, Chik-fil-a waffle fries scoop up too much ketchup and the flavor just overwhelms. I have to do a little trick to make it palatable, but most people would think it disgusting.

It is just a condiment like any other. I use it on fries and other things.

It doesn't belong within a 5 mile radius of a hot dog.

and if you put it on steak then you deserve to have that steak forcefully removed from your possession

I think it's acceptable if the steak is well done anyway.

The whole thing is pretty tragic, though.

Edit: oh, I see that point was already made. Oh, well.

I love ketchup. I grew up eating it on everything. Yes, ketchup has some calories on its own. But for me, the real problem with the stuff is that it makes me eat more of the things that do real damage. Like fries. And burgers. Fries for me are ketchup delivery devices. Cut out the ketchup, the appeal of these things goes down and I eat them less.
