UGW ??? maybe 144 (high end of normal BMI for my height)

My body has always been heavy and strong. I was a sturdy/athletic 110 lbs in grade 3. High school 175 (good shape, strong), 185 into mid-20's, before kids. I always felt 'huge' because of the number on the scale, but looking back at the photos I see a healthy (then unappreciated) body. I have a difficult time believing that my body will be healthy at 120 lbs (normal BMI). My current BMI is 30, in high school it was also 30 (was 3" shorter). Will keep an open, flexible UGW and see how I feel.

My goal is to maintain my current weight forever (5'10" 148-155). And to continue to improve my strength and cardiovascular fitness. My heart rate has dropped 25% since I've started maintaining. My blood pressure is still in the low range. AND NEVER GET DIABETES!

I'm 5'2" and my goal for right now is 135. I might make my GW a bit lower once I hit that. I'm in the 180s somewhere right now, but I started at 246.

    currently around 187
shooting to get get to 179 and then simply put some of the muscle I've lost back on, and not worry so much about actual weight as feeling good about myself.

Couldn't run a mile when I started, even slowly ... trying 12 mins or so. I ran a 10k on my own a few weeks back and entered my first 5K mid-June and ran it at an 8:39 pace. At no time in my entire life before now could I do that, so feeling good about progress!

    160-165

I was in the 150-155 range until I started lifting seriously in January. I am happier with my strength and endurance now and my clothes still fit the same or more loosely. I'm squatting & deadlifting 100 lbs now, benching 90 and can run a 5k in under 40 minutes.

Unfortunately, because the health insurance police at work are fixated on BMI, I will have to cut back to 155 for their annual screenings. I usually run a couple of 5ks for charity right before that - relay for life, autism speaks and a local free medical clinic - those races are good timing for me, but I would run them anyway. I just think that fixating on BMI over anything else is a mistake. Both of my clinically overweight brothers wrecked motorcycles last year. The actually obese one is still having some rib and shoulder pain after more than 12 months. The weightlifting clinically overweight one cracked his pelvis and was on a vent and said on Friday, I am celebrating my first birthday. No pain, no physical issues at all.
