I am usually walking at this time. It is extremely foggy on this mountain. Not safe for walking at this time.
Late evening yesterday I did manage a 25 minute exercise Bike Ride. That added onto my Bike total of 40.3 miles.

Will log all my total progress for today and the Bike ride later...

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT GOD BLESSED DAY!

@SteveCro Next time your in Evansville, check out some of the more rural roads north of town. I like to follow the Evansville Bicycle Club's Great Pumpkin Metric 25k/50k route (includes ~1,400 ft of climb on the 50k); and am working up to tackling the 100k. There are plenty of other side roads to take off of these routes too.

Thanks! I will have to try some of North roads. The Trail is pretty short, senic but short. I rode it 2 and a half times, gets kinda of redundant. My youngest daughter lives in Evansville now. You from there or visit too? When she was at USI I rode down Boehne Camp Road to another street can't remember but some pretty big hills there.

I live in Evansville. The local cycling club also puts circles with a line coming out of them (like a power button) with the line pointing which way to turn at the next intersection (the previously linked 25/50k and 100k pdf's show examples). I've found that if I follow those there is typically less traffic, dogs, etc. bothering me on the rides.

We've run on the Pigeon Creek Trail a few times, but I've never ridden on it. There's another fairly short trail from USI to Burdette park that's nice with a pretty decent hill (if you're heading towards USI); the trail is only ~3 miles, but it connects to USI Campus and Burdette park (both with trails/roads throughout them) and both connect to roads that are cycled fairly regularly (I've only run here too, so no first hand experience on the friendliness to cyclist).

Missing in action. Long story but have been having dizziness, hearing loss, and tinnitus for a few weeks. My regular doc referred me to an ENT and appt. was yesterday. I do have moderate to severe hearing loss in one ear and they suspect either a virus that settled there or a rupture/fistula of membranes. So for now, prednisone to hopefully restore hearing, no physical activity, no heavy lifting, bending excessively, not even a darn treadmill. Not happy but will be compliant for now. F/U in 1 week. Just wanted to explain my absence. I will be focusing on healthful, portion control for now. Hope to be joining you all again in August. I'll keep checking in.......... :)

finally it IS Friday!!! Although now I have to cram everything I haven't done this week into a single day!!

hopefully tomorrow I can pick up my bike from the shop, and go for a long ride. There's a ride to a reservoir/lake I want to do, but I won't know until I try how hilly it is (there's an evil twisty turny hill to drive to get to it, but I think the cycle route goes around the nasty bit).

Made it finally to a Lindy class but only stayed for one, so little else this week to add to my totals.

Next week I'm off to Northern Ireland for work. Would LOVE to hire a bike and explore, but it may be just something I do on foot for now. Got to get a few more miles in as my month is looking pitiful right now!!! only 74 out of 130 miles achieved so there's a lot still to do and only a week to do it in!!!

Goodmorning all! I'm proud to say that I ran 4 times this week. I can feel myself getting stronger and as a result a little faster. Running a mile straight, on the indoor track at the gym is now a given. With a little more time, running a mile, outside on pavement/concrete with slight hills will also be a cinch! Today I am working a 12 hr shift. During down time I plan on walking. Already at 1.5 miles. Hope to get to 3 miles by end of shift. I WILL finish July strong!
