I want some DGKS. :
Dear/darling Grand Kids0 -
DJ is right! Nine and 10-year-old boys! And a 10 week old puppy. Besides just moving into our house. Took some time to enjoy fishing and swimming and biking and walking.have had a great time. But we are so tired!

Happy Thursday ! ! !
Kate - *****kick*****
Carol – enjoy the handbike. The first few times I used it I felt silly. Now it is just another machine that I use. It is nice for when my knees hurt, and it forces me to think about my posture. If I lift the pressure off my feet, it makes me pull in my abdominals, so it helps with my core, too. I’m so excited for you ! ! ! // Last year when I broke my arm, I made a standing appointment at the Beauty School nearby for a hair wash. It was COMPLETELY worth it. Granted, I was able to work and collect Work Comp, but it was worth it. I even went enough times to earn a free facial (I should cash that in soon).
Joyce – Some baseball Mom’s and I had fun with my MFP app last night during the slow parts of the game. We all wanted something sweet, and no one wanted to walk to the car and risk missing a kid do something remarkable. So, I punched in several different candies. We each had a mini-bottle of Gatorade instead. I was certain about the mistake I made for supper last night. We didn’t get home from baseball until past 9:30pm, DH stopped at Little Caesars and I declined. But once I got home and looked at the clock, I took my night-time medicine and ate 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza. There was just no way possible for me to make myself something healthy to eat, and it only put me about 80 calories over. If I go to bed hungry, I will wake up and eat those blasted pop-tarts again, and I would rather go over on pizza while awake than on pop tarts while ½ asleep. // Wow! The story about your FIL’s wife is awful. // Sorry you had to resort to the down and dirty pictures, but I certainly hope the treatments work for him.
Allison – Hooray for the new gym. You’re dizzy too? Take Care !
Lisa – best of luck. I’ve been called worse than a pitbull, so take it with a grain of salt, and the knowledge that he will displace blame wherever possible. Keep up the good work.
Grits – All I can say is: Wow, that Sucks ! Please accept a huge (((((HUG))))) from me, over and over again.
Lori – WooHoo ! ! !
Miriam – Hugs and Prayers ! ! !
CPAP – Since I wake up rested after a normal night of sleep, I question if my sleep apnea is as bad as the Doctor suggests. Since I have a herniated disc and RA, it’s just hard for me to roll over in bed, so I think that is when I stop breathing. Either way, I will get the mouthpiece instead of the CPAP. I tried the CPAP, and I CANNOT keep it on while having a hot flash, then I forget to put it back on when the hot flash is over and I fall back to sleep. Both are $200 after my Insurance Deductible, so I’m going to try the mouth piece next.
Payne just stopped in to do a quick check of his vision, because he is swinging later than usual at pitches (lots of foul balls). His depth perception is slightly off, and he seems to be right-eye dominant, so we are going to work on his left-hand batting until next year’s try-outs. It would be great if Dad could teach him to be a switch-hitter. He likes that idea, too. Yay? More time at the batting cages.
It has been a busy day here, and I need to start my closing routine, so I will try to catch up again tomorrow. Sorry to everyone for whom I was unable to respond. Know I keep you all in my hugs and prayers, my dear friends. And thank you for being there for me. Tonight - Open Class Home Run Derby.
Hugs for Everyone ! ! !

Good early evening beautiful ladies :flowerforyou:
Michele Love the turtle!!!! Wish I was going to be in town on Aug. 30th, I'll be at the beach celebrating my friends 60th birthday. I know you guys will have a wonderful time!!!
Margaret I love all the quotes, thank you for sharing!
Meg Glad the new meds are helping hubby! I know you're going to love your new floors, even if they are an inconvenience right now! Does Benny like you carrying him? Noel loves for me to carry her around.
Becca Love, love, love the dress!!!! You are a sexy sassy lady :smokin:!!! Have you thought about wearing a nude shoe or sandal? I think that color would look awesome with that dress! I still wear high heels, I love being taller than I really am ! Of course I've been wearing them for years so I'm used to them. You really look great in the dress!!!
Katla Hope you had a good visit with the Dr. today!
Mary Glad you're having a great time with the grandkids and the puppy !!!
DJ I love reading your posts!!! You always make me smile! When my granddaughters are at the beach, I will tell them to go by and see Mimi DJ (they call me Mimi ). They spend a lot of weekends over the summer at the beach. I've actually thought about buying a place either in NC or SC. I would love to have a place in Charleston, it's one of my favorite places ever! After a weekend with my girls you would be worn out, but you would have had tons of fun and lots of laughs!!! They are in my profile pic. I took them to play miniature golf the other day, we had lots of laughs!!!
Joyce I'm so glad Charlie decided to get treatment! Good for you showing him what might could happen!
Terri I couldn't eat pizza at 9:30 at night :noway: , I would either have nightmares or heartburn !!! Baseball is my favorite sport, tell your son I'm cheering for him!!!
Carol in NC Sure hope you get to feeling better and better!!! I can't believe the Pastor of the church looking at his watch ! My granddaughters sounds a little like your son and daughter, the oldest one, she's 14, still says she's an only child , she tolerates her 8 yr sister .
Heather I just started your book last night . I'm only on chapter 2, hopefully I will be able to get some reading in tonight! I'm liking what I'm reading so far!!! Hope DH will continue to do better!!! The spinach and feta pie (cake) looks awesome! I will be giving that a try!
Alison I was going to ask if your ears are stopped up. My allergies have been horrible this year, much worse than last year. I'm taking Zyrtec and using Nasacort, my ears still hurt! I'm hoping I don't need antibiotics!! See a Dr. if you're still dizzy!
Pip. Glad to see you back!!! Hope the Dr. appt. goes well, make sure you listen to what he says!!!
Sending hugs to all those dealing with mental illness , will be keeping you all in my prayers!!!
I had the most unusual morning today. The lawn guys were here at 8:30 trying to mow before the rain, the dog despises it so she runs from window to window barking at the them, the phone rang off the hook, my phone kept cutting off in the middle of conversations , I was trying to get ready to leave the house, my brother popped by to say hi...I was ready to throw him and the dog out of the house, it was just chaos....then I went to put hairspray on my hair and dang if I didn't spray myself in the eyes :noway: , seems the nozzle was a little clogged so instead of spraying my hair, I got my face. By that point I was wondering if it was safe for me to leave the house  ! Thank goodness the day improved!!!
Wishing you all a wonderful peaceful relaxing evening (or afternoon, morning etc!) !
Hugs,
DeeDee in NC

@terri_mom - I am terribly claustrophobic and I could not use the Cpap mask that covers nose and mouth. I finally went to the "Wisp" mask and could keep it in; headgear more comfortable too. If you think your settings are wrong, I'd suggest talking to the MD who put you in it. Maybe you need to have a 2nd sleep study done. My tubing is long and also has a piece to it that attaches to the mask (nose only) and I can turn over either way; but most of the time I sleep on my back - otherwise I tend to pull it out. I think you need to have a supplier who is willing to work with you on the mask. Could be that you are not getting a good seal to it. I ended up getting the small wisp mask when I had been using the medium/large. Made all the difference in the world. "IF" and that is a very big 'if' you think you really don't need it . . . try sleeping a night or two without it, write down how you feel the next day and then put it back on. I put my on the second I crawl into bed - and DH will poke me if I take it off and start snoring, telling me to put it back on. And I wasn't aware that it was off. Sleep apnea does not get 'cured' once you have been diagnosed with it.0

I go to my profile page and click on the words "add to your site" under your ticker tape then copy the BBcode and paste it each time I want to use it. If there is a way to make it show up as part of your signature automatically that would be easier.

OK, I'll try that.0

Alright ... maybe I'll remember next time. Maybe I should write it down.0

Just saw this on Facebook
Cell Phone numbers are going to be released to telemarketers this month. You can be charged for calls from telemarketers. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the national Do Not Call list and will block your number for 5 years. You must call from the number you want blocked. I just finished my phone and also DH's phone. Here is a link:

Call me crazy but I love to see other people happy and succeeding .
Good Evening Ladies,
Penny, so good to hear from you. You had me laffin’ like crazy, reading about you feeling tall and normal/fat, etc depending on where you were. I’ll stay away from Japan.
Miriam, prayers headed your way and for son.
MNMargaret, I like all your quotes. I think my favorite is: “
Life is not a problem to be solved but a gift to enjoy” Thanks for sharing.
bkrimpet, congrats on your ¾ pound. I wouldn’t look too soon either. Lol
Jane, I hope you get all good results on your tests, too. Have a ball with those grands. ((Hugs)) later: good results at the doc. Losing weight does amazing good things to our bodies. Who knew?
Mia, you can’t fool us! We know you aren’t making DH play with everything to make up for his lack of childhood. You just want to play with the toys and that is your excuse. But then I know that you know we can all be kids at Disney.
Cheri, This is me dancing with you. Congrats and keep up the good work.
DeeDee, I’d love being Mimi DJ to those two cuties. Which beach will you be at on Aug 30? OMG, I’d have been afraid for you to leave the house, too. What a morning, but I did have to giggle reading about it.
Pip, I think we had figured out that you had a concussion. Did he tell you to take it easy more so than you have been? My DD had a frontal lobe injury with a fractured skull and I don’t recall her still being dizzy for this long.
I just made plans to fly to Dallas next month for niece's wedding. I haven't seen her or her brother or Mom in about 12 or 15 years so I'm excited. Plus I have great nieces and nephews I've never met. And what can I say, I always love being back in Texas, even if it is the hottest month of the year.
I hope you all have a happy and healthy day.
Words I live by:
Savor. I have to slow down and savor every bite.
and
Opportunity. Each day offers new opportunities for good health and happiness if we just look for them and choose them.
I Love you,
DJ

Cheri ... Congratulations!

@DJ - I'm a three hour drive North of Dallas. I lived in Dallas before I moved to OKC. IT is Hot and humid here right now.
My daughter and her family, from Lubbock, will be here in a couple of hours.

Did 45 minutes of a Totally Ripped DVD by Bob Harper. I'm not sure why I downloaded this one, but I did. It's all core work, not much back which you need to work the opposing muscle group.
The plan for tomorrow is to do a workout in the water.
Cheri - lovely blanket. Thanks for the name of the video. I know I'll be referring to it again.
barbie - I'm glad the pic of the turtle came thru today. Not sure why it didn't yesterday. The only thing was that the gal at the ceramics studio added eyelashes and the mouth. I put clear glaze on them since they aren't the invision paint and hopefully it'll fire fine.
Welcome everyone new and those returning.
Becca - I don't like shoes that have a high heel, either. About 1" is good enough for me. Why do stores seem to make mostly shoes in high high heels? Well, because evidentally that's what sells. Wait until those people get older and have food problems, then you'll see them making all sorts of fancy shoes with lower heels. I like that last mantra from your TOPS meeting, too. "You are who you decide to be"
Thank you, everyone, for your comments on my turtle. It's colorful if anything. Originally I was going to do him in red, white, and blue. If I'd realized that I couldn't do it, I would have made the snail in blue and white. Oh well, they can just go in different parts of the yard, that's all.
Joyce - as I recall, it was YOU who gave me the idea of giving the turtle red toenails. In a way, I wish the gal who did the eyelashes made them thicker and longer. But beggers can't be choosers. I don't have a steady enough hand to do it, so she did it for me. Do you have to ask at Payless to get the AARP discount? I would think so. Good for you getting Charlie to get his treatments! Sometimes we just have to "alter" the facts, like I'm constantly giving Vince foods that are good for him and accidentally-on-purpose forgetting to tell him what's in the food....lol
Lisa - that GM sounds like something else! How can he possibly tell people that there is no money? I do hope he loses his job, he deserves it.
Heather - I'm the same way, when I get involved in something else, I lose any interest in cooking. Bad thing is that it usually comes right back
Alison - take care of yourself. Did you maybe overexert yourself?
Lenora - have you ever heard of "sleep solutions"? The ad on the radio said that it's some sort of retainer-type thing that you wear instead of the CPAP. Your family story is so heartbreaking.
Lori - congrats on the loss
Lillian - what fun is it to be mature?
DJ thanks for reminding me, I need to call Pat at the ceramics place to see if she has other critters. Funny about the vodka. Thanks for the smile
Well, the doc cut out that plantar wart. The anesthesia is starting to wear off. Then I went to get my bangs trimmed and on to Bi-Lo just for the items on sale
Remember the gal who I took to Charlotte for cataract surgery? Well, when she scheduled an appt for tomorrow at the time I told her to call me if she feels uncomfortable driving that distance. She didn't think she would. In the meantime, Vince went into the hosp. He's supposed to go to the cardiologist tomorrow. Today she called to ask if I could still take her. So I just asked Vince if he needed me there, he said he didn't so I'll take her to Charlotte. She is going to come to my house. I think I'll get up early and go in the pool at the Y since last time I just found it so very hard to exercise after we got home. I'd rather get it out of the way
MNMargaret - great sayings
Made this graham streusel cake. Oh, did I mention that Lynette called and Ken is in the hosp with his appendix. So I'll take some to her and give the rest to the gal when she comes tomorrow. Actually, I made one cake and totally forgot to put the water in it. It had good flavor, just dry. Fortunately, I had another box of lemon cake mix (which you need) so I made another cake. Just waiting for it to cool some then I'll cut a piece off for Lynette.
jane - sending good thoughts for great results
Went to the hosp. Ken's operation was delayed and he didn't go into the OR until around 7:30. We were just walking out of the hosp when Lynette called to say he was back in his room. Unfortunately, we could get out of the hosp but we couldn't get back in unless we went to the ER. So here we are, walking that way. And I'm slower.
Cheri - dancing with ya
Jane - great numbers
DeeDee - what a day you had. So sorry you can't make it on the 30th. Would love to see ya
Lesley - feel better soon
pip - sorry about your concussion. Good numbers, tho. Take care of yourself
