Week 1: Very pleased this week. Blew through my original goal of 217 lbs and adjusted downward to 210 lbs. Long walks, 7-8 miles a day, coupled with a calorie deficit each day did the trick. I don't expect this every week though. Plan to celebrate with a glass of wine tonight!

This week I continued doing everything I was doing. I feel like I haven't eaten particularly well, but the food I ate wasn't unhealthy either. I made some Thai soup yesterday (friday) and ate it that day then the next day. There's a lot of coconut milk in that soup, but I also know that the oil in coconut is healthy (consumer in moderation). I'm still struggling to eat healthy food more often.
Also felt pain in my hamstrings on Tuesday, so I haven't run since out of precaution. I still do other forms of cardio and strength training. I worked out 4 days straight (mon-thur) took friday off and did some very light exercise today (Saturday). I'm not sure if I will take a full rest day Sunday or an active rest day. We'll see!

Very happy about these challenges because they make me believe in myself when I am having a bit of a low. Overall, I can see the right tenedency - 5 kg less than 2 months ago.
This week ahead doesn't seem too dangerous so far - let's see how it goes!
I don't know what is going on exactly, I did proper workouts and I had one rather bad day, but for most other days I stayed within my calories. Feel puffed up so I "hope" that most of the weight that added on / won't leave is water retention and will finally disappear soon! Frustrated!0 -

Successes/struggles this week: So I did hit my goal weight for this month yesterday... but I also was at a convention yesterday and ate a lot, and today I was 149.6! I know it's almost all water weight, but today I'll be having Chinese takeaway which might push me over to a real gain. I'm moving back to uni on thursday and my sister works until 9pm on weekdays so I won't see her much, and today is my last chance to hang out with her. So it's worth it. I'm sure I can lose any weight gained pretty swiftly0 -

Successes/struggles this week: I hit my first plateau at the end of July. I went from 217.4 up to 220.8, then got stuck for a week or so. I was a little discouraged, binged on ice cream. Weighed in the day after my binge to do some damage control, and was down 1.4 pounds with my plateau gone. I wasn't trying to lose weight by eating 4 servings of ice cream in one sitting (luckily it was only about 360 calories worth of damage...) but if my body wants to work with me, I will definitely not complain!0 -

Struggles/success this past week: Well, the scale moved the wrong way. I had a very enjoyable weekend that unfortunately included a lot of good beer. I did get a 3.5 mile hike in on Saturday though, which I haven't done for awhile, and my knees let me know it. I need to start working out again.0
