30DS + C25K starting June 6

I'm starting up 30 DS on the 6th (Monday) and my boyfriend and I are going to do C25K starting the same day. Anyone in?

    Yep add me in. I will be doing c25k on the treadmill as well as the shred. Do we give our start weight and measurements now and then at thirty days? I have never done a mfp group challenge.

    I never have, either. I just kinda wanted someone else to talk to about these specific workouts who is going through them at the same time. You don't have to post any measurements or anything if you don't want to. I basically just wanted a support group. :smile: If you want to post your numbers, though, feel free.

    Ok, well I am taking measurements and weighing in tomorrow (fell off the wagon and time to get back on it). I am also taking photos, so I will post it all at the end. Be good to have online support and motivation.

    Haha yeah my pics will be at the end lol. Hopefully I can make some major changes to my body in 30 days.

    I have been doing both workouts on/off for a couple of weeks, but I fell off the wagon hard this past week. It was my b-day and my sister was in town and I live in Biloxi (which means lots of buffets and casinos). But it's okay because I knew I was going to go crazy while she was here. Anyways, I am seriously starting Monday and will be counting my calories as well. So I want to be a part of this group. If anyone wants u can add me as a friend. I love this site more than Facebook so I am always checking in. also, I got a Wii for my b-day and will be incorporating that into my workouts as well. Wish me luck! And good luck to everyone!

    Get the EA Sports Active games. When I first started working out, that's what I did. I had the first 2 (I believe there's a 3rd one now), and I lost 15 or 20 pounds just doing those.

    I have heard about EA in other topics on this website, but I wondered if it would really work up a sweat. I have the Zumba and I was considering getting the Biggest Loser or something like that. However, I have heard a lot of good reviews about the EA so I may just go with that. Thanks for the tip!

    Would it still count if I did Jillian's Ripped in 30? It's very similar to 30DS, but I prefer it because I've already done 30DS. I definitely want to do that and C2K!!!

    I have attempted to try both in the past and have failed at both in the past.

    Hi, I would like to join in :smile:

    I did the 30 Day Shred last year and almost made it to the end, I did find it toned me up a bit, my arms the most (and they sure need it!!) Have been a bit unmotivated of late so I think it would be a good time to do it again.

    C25K I have been doing since last year and I am now up to level 5 :laugh: I really want to love running but I just don't yet, I'm hoping it will come in time!

    I really want you to count me in BUT I just started reading the C2K website stuff today so I'm not sure if I can start right away. When I lay my daughter down for her afternoon nap I plan on finishing reading it cause I really want to start doing something :laugh: And I hope when I go to the city this week I can find the 30DS so if I have to start a little later, is that okay with you?

    Sure, you can start later. No rules here. Walmart usually carries JM videos for about $10, so check there. If not, amazon should have them for dirt cheap.

    30DS day 1 done! Harder than I remember. It'll get easier, though. 392 cals in 26 minutes is worth the hard work. Day 1 of C25K tonight (gotta do it at night because it's 9 am and already about 95 degrees).

    I don't know..I got my HRM at Kmart for $30, did you try there? Because with a lot of things, you can kind of estimate based on what MFP says, but when you're doing a combo of running and walking, I think it gets a little harder.

    Do u have a phone u can download an app. I have cardio trainer on mine and it shows the distance, speed, and the amount of calories I burned. Of course the calorie burn is probably not as accurate as a hrm but it's a good start so u have an idea.

    I have an HRM, so I just created my own workout title on here and plugged in my calories, but if you don't have one, you're right to log it as circuit training because that's what it is. :smile:

    How'd everyone do today? I'm doing C25K in less than an hour (7:45). Why so late? It's effing hot in the desert..hopefully it'll be more tolerable at dusk. I'll let ya know! :happy:
