    Sorry I did not get here to post my milsed yesterday but I did walk them! Did 3 yesterday and 3 this morning.

    Is it ok if I jump in and join? I have been using Leslie's DVD's for several months now, and really enjoy them. I feel like I get a good burn, without injury. I tried other DVD's, but my knees can't handle to much high impact. I think for my goal, I will try 10 miles each week, that means by the end of the month I will have walked 30 miles.

    I am preparing to do a 5K in August. Does anybody have thoughts on dvd walking vs. walking outside or on a treadmill?

    How do you log that? I guess you burn more calories than walking?

    I decided to walk on a trail near my house that I had never taken before, as it is an absolutely beautiful day in CO! Well, it kept going, and going, and going.... and so did I. I googled what I had walked when I got home, the the trail is 7.5 miles one way, and I followed it all the way there and back. I'm feeling rather proud of that :happy:

    How do you log that? I guess you burn more calories than walking?

    I wear a Heart Rate Monitor and it tells me the calories burned. I asked our parks department how many feet the lazy river was. So for me our lazy river is 640 feet, which means I have to go around 8.25 times to equal a mile. Then I just round up to 9 and count the laps. So I don't forget what lap I'm on I just take a rock that is laying around the pool and everytime I get to a certain spot I put a rock in my pile and then count them out at the end. It takes me about an hour and a half to walk three miles in water and that's if I go with the current. My HRM says I usually burn about 750 - 775 calories for those three miles.

    :smile: I USE LESLIE SANSONE DVDS THE 5 MILE FAT BUENING 5 MILE WALK IS GREAT AND I ALSO MIX IT UP, I DUE PUNCH UP THE WALK, AND THE 4 MILE CHALLENGE...THEY ARE GREAT..GOOD LUCK TO U...IF U WANT TO BE FRIENDS AND KEEP UP WITH WALKING IT WILL BE GREAT..ISSY:flowerforyou:

    I've been doing mile three of the 4 mile slim down challenge, I like the boosted walking in that mile, I usually do it four or five times. Then I do the last mile with the firm bank. I also added weights this week. I really like the walk videos.
