Hellish boot camp workout of 60 minute intervals of high intensity, followed by 30 second low intensity with no breaks in between for 10 minutes and then a 10 second break to get a sip of water and then start all over again. This went on for 50 minutes and I managed to soak my mat with sweat and what my mat didn't catch I started slipping in so I had to wipe my space with a towel.

8 mile walk and Stronglifts 5X5 at the gym this evening.

    Bench press
    Weighted pullup
    Incline DB press
    DB row or T-bar row
    Smith machine floor press
    Inverted pullup
    Pushups/plyo
    Rope machine
    Cable crossover
    DB pullover

Will probably ditch the floor press/invert pullups or pushups/rope machine depending on how much time I have.

I started Darebee's Age of Pandora today.
    http://darebee.com/programs/age-of-pandora.html

I get extremely bored with things that involve strength so I try to mix things up every now and then, be it with wii games, gamifications, unique ideas and so on, and this interval training seemed like a good middle ground.

My lower legs were cramping like crazy on my walk to the gym this morning, so I called my run quits after a mile and did 1/2 hour on a bike instead, then made myself do another mile and a half run before my legs cramped up again.

They felt fine later so I snuck in a quick 4-miler at lunch, so I guess I managed to hit my planned 6 miles plus some bonus biking today, anyway, even if it was kinda in three sets.

My workout today? I walked 4 miles! YES YES, I DID IT I DID IT!!! Oh sure, it may not be some seriously heavy workout schedule others may have, but I am not interested in keeping up with anyone but me, albeit I am in fierce competition with myself, lol. Today was the most I walked at one time, modest pace, and did 4 miles in 1 hour and 11 miles. I am beyond psyched!!!

Great job Marvin. Keep it up buddy

  • Meet Prep 3.1A:

I hate oversleeping and hate it even more when I am sleepy and still want to go to the gym. The mind is willing when the body isn't. In that case, I'd rather both be tired and not willing to go in -- wave the white flag and go back to bed -- but I didn't this morning.

    1. Bench Press: 95x7, 115x5, 135x5, 175x3, 205x3, 235x3, 265x1. (Last set with commands.)
    2. Barbell Row: 95x7, 115x5, 140x5, 140x10,10,10. (Finishing out the deload week.)
    3. DB Floor Presses: 80x4,3,3.
    4. Hinge Rows: 8,8,7.

    TOTALS: 11,665 LBS. 4 exercises. 29 sets. 9/11. 70 mins.

I was reading an article this morning on the Hinge Row and I think I remember a friend doing these so I have them a shot. I really like them. Don't you love it when you expand your training vocabulary? I know I do.

Today was leg day. The dreaded yetbeloved leg day.
    Squats
    Leg press
    Leg extensions
    Leg curl
    Calf raises
    Donkey kicks
    Etc etc etc
I should be adding in more weighted walking lunges, step ups but like another poster said it sucks when you oversleep and have to rush to the gym and kinda don't really wanna go but make yourself. So maybe I'll add those next leg day.
