I'm brand new to MFP, first comment! Evening snacking is one of my biggest downfalls on my weight loss journey, so this is perfect! I'd like to finish eating with my dinner and just have a cup of tea before bed! Even though this is my first post, I've been focusing on this for a few days. So....stats are:

    ME: 3*
    LNS: 0
    Streak: 3

Great start. Hope you find that MFP helps you on your journey

Cool challenge! I will commit to the late night snacking challenge, starting today and for the month of February. Here are my guidelines (similar to @blackburn23):

    1. No weeknight snacking after 9 pm.
    2. No weekend snacking after 10 pm.
    3. Drink only water after cut-off times.
    4. Keep chewing gum handy at all times. (I prefer Doublemint gum...little bit of sugar, but not too bad...right!? LOL)

Now I am gonna need an accountability partner...somebody check on me from time to time if possible...LOL! God Bless!

This challenge is really difficult on the nights I work til 9pm! I was starving when I got home and had an apple, at least it was a good food choice :)

Eating at night is perfectly fine though for losing or maintaining weight.. I don't get it, the only problem that comes with late night eating is that some people can't control themselves. Though if it fits into my calorie goal I have always eaten whatever I wanted at night even right before or in bed.

It's a myth people, just don't be eating burgers and pizza at 12 am. Healthy choices... All you do is deprive yourself and go hungry lol, then binge.

    CALORIES IN / CALORIES OUT

Stress, emotional eater here. Caused by years of single parenting a chronically ill daughter. I wish it was so simple as just CICO but other variables have hurt that equation for ME. :D

I agree, Carrie. If we didn't have emotional eating difficulties, there wouldn't be a need for this challenge. The truth is a lot of us struggle with this and so need this challenge for accountability and encouragement.

We can stay strong...there are only a couple more days left in this month's challenge...AND the February challenge is up!!! I didn't realize that a "challenges" section was added on MFP, so that is where you can find this challenge. It previously was under "motivation and support."
