My first go around I was 43
5'9" 200 lbs and reached my gw of 160 and maintained 5 to 10 lbs within that range for 5 years.
This second go around.
49, sw 180, cw 165, gw 1600 -
5'9" 172ish and to remain 172. but only reach 7% body fat. Started at 176 lbs and 14%-15% Currently at 9%0

Goal was 142-145. Maintaining at 138-140. I want to be sure I have some cushion. I am 5'6" and age 55.0

I'm 5'6" and I currently weigh 253 lbs. my goal weight is 150 lbs. BMI says I should weigh 130 lbs, but I believe I have a larger body frame than most 5'6" women. Whether that's true or not, I'm sticking with 150 as my goal weight. If I need to change it once I'm there, I will.
I'd love to be at 18% body fat, but for now I'm aiming for 21%. I haven't figured out what percent I'm at right now. Probably around 50%. I'll have to do the math.

Not happy with the level of body fat I've got but still researching what to do next really. If I lose much more weight I'm going to look too thin but I want abs ect I've never got so close before. I've started lifting now and going to keep eating at a slight deficit but with plenty of protein and see what happens in the next couple of months.

Glad you posted, Momo! You are welcome here. You can do this! We're the same height. I had to adjust my expectations along the way and I was shooting (at first) for around 150. You'll know when you get there...and you will, my friend!

Goal weight was originally 190, changed it to 180, then settled on 182-186.

Thank you so much! After I posted here, I did a little research on body fat percentage and found out that 150 might be too low for me. So I made the decision to shoot for 180 and go from there. It's like you said; I'll make adjustments along the way.

I want to be 115. The decision is whether I get to 115 and slowly recomp, or if I want to go down to 110 then bulk up those 5 pounds. I'll have to reevaluate at 115.0

I started my weight loss journey 90 days ago and have lost a total of 16 lbs. I am over 45 so it takes a lot more work these days but I take it one day at a time and just keep moving! I don't necessarily have a target weight in mind as I just want to make better choices and feel better. I've taken up Pilates and have noticed a HUGE difference in my body.
