    HELLO!
Sorry I have been MIA lately... but I am starting the dvd again with heavier weights! Started yesterday and the soreness still continues... oh well it's all worth it right?! I've lost a total of 10 pounds by changing my eating and completing this dvd so I'm hoping I can get another 10 off in 30 days... Let's see!

10 pounds, that is so awesome, GOOD JOB!!! WOW!! Well, I decided to move to Level 2 last night instead of doing another of the Level 1 (I felt I could do L1 so I needed to move on)...WOW, those darn planks SUCK!!! that first circuit was the toughest (with the PLANKS!!), but the other circuits were do-able, TOUGH, but do-able.....so I will probably stay on this level at least 6 days or more....but I am liking this DVD and this group, so thank you to all

ahh yes those planks SUCK!... i remember being scared to move onto the next level too.. i was exactly where you were but i did it and it got easier every time! i think the hardest part of completing this dvd is staying motivated, especially when you don't have someone to motivate you except yourself just stick with it and you will be glad you did :)

I am really excited about this thread and would like to join you. I hope that is ok?

I have only recently come across this site and am hoping that this will motivate me to stick to a diet and exercise plan. I don't have a huge amount of weight to lose (7 kgs), but I have not been able to shift these last few kgs, despite working out regularly. So, I have decided to purchase Jillian's ripped in 30 and hopefully that will do the trick. As the DVD hasn't arrived yet I did 30 DS (level 2) this morning followed by 30 mins of yoga (Shiva Rea).

I can do this level except for the planks; I have to stop occasionally during them but I will get there...my attempt is great

    Hello!
I wanted to start a board about the new Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD. I was thinking we could help each other and show results and success stories!

Here is what I have done..

I did week 1 for 8 days and am now on my second day of week 2. I have lost 1.5 lbs and can definitely see a difference in the shape of my body. I am aiming to lose 15 lbs. I am well on my way!!

I just ordered this video, along with three Bob Harper videos today. I can't wait for them to come in!!!
  • Hi everyone! I am very excited about the blog, I think itll help me stay on track. I just started Ripped in 30 yesterday! So pumped to start toning up and losing! My GW is 125 or less (i was 118 in highschool and would be good getting back there). My CW is 143. So i have a bit to go to get there.

I have lost 17lbs already just eating better- pretty much have been following the meal plan without knowing it. But now i need to add exercise!

Looking forward to sharing my progress with everyone!

So I got up in the wee hours of this morning and completed Level 3D1. I have to say although it was challenging, i like it 100x better than level two. I was able to do all but one of the move w/o the modifier. I can definitely hang with this level and i did feel like i was going to be gargling my daggon heart. I just love the results!

Good for you! ITs done, now lets move on to Day 2.

I do it M-F and try to take the w/e off. How many days a week are you doing it?
  • Well, Jillian and I took a break this weekend. It was my birthday and definitely hard to get motivated to work out- plus I was bordeline paralyzed in my legs I was so sore! But today I am back on with Jillian. Only a few more days until level 2. Very excited to be done with running man- deifnitely not coordinated enough to do that one.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Monday!
  • I am new to this thread, but am on week2 day 2 and am struggling with the plank jacks and some of the ab work. I hope to get to week three "in time" but might have to spend longer on this week. I found last week hard but do-able, and can definitely see a difference in my arms! I am looking to lose about 15 lbs and hope this dvd will get me there. Thanks for the thread and the support!

Why does day 2 of every level always suck for me. Yesterday i was like okay i can do this, today i felt like stomping my feet. I was so frustrated and the overall effort just was not there for me. Sometimes i wonder if i can keep this up. I get up super early to do this and I always feel like saying forget this, let me get a few more minutes of sleep. UGH

You will get there. Ive read where some people just plow right through regardless of how bad they struggle with each level. That is what i intend to do. After doing each level of the Shred for 10 days each i just dont have it in me to do an indefinite # of days per level for ripped. I do 5 days per level. I think when i finish the entire thing i am going to start over and vary which levels i do. I am also trying to incorporate No More Trouble Zones into my routine.

Good Luck, you can do it.

All of you girls are doing great, just even doing this is great in my opinion....I have done Level 2 four times now and the Planks are still hard......I have to stop and take a breath then continue with them, a few times...........I will do Level 2 at least 2 more times then move on to Level 3. I see somebody likes L3 better, now I'm not as scared; I'm still scared LOL, but not as scared  I do see results, that is for sure....those results make me push for more

W3D2 finished! (plus 15 extra mins on my treadmill)

I am working it just like you, 5 days per level as well, Mon-Fri (tho I did check it out on Sunday and played with it a little). I plow right through regardless, just as I did on the Shred. I did the 30 day Challenge (where you incorporate the Shred, NMTZ and BFBM) as well. The last two workouts I mentioned are really long hence I did them only on the weekends. They are both challenging. After Ripped I plan on doing the 6 week 6 pack, if I survive..haha.

    Thank you!!
Has anyone followed her 30-day diet plan? It is protein packed, but I'm wondering if it's enough food! For example, the dinners... she doesn't say to add any sides. We usually have a meat, grain and a veggie for dinner. If I put a plate of just meat down for my husband he will think I lost my mind, lol!
  • Still on week 1, but I can definitely feel things getting easier. 4 days in and the only thing I have to modify is the pushups and the ab workout that you do on your side (don't remember what it's called). I was thinking I'd have to spend another week in 1 before moving on to 2, but I think I'll be ready by Sunday! I haven't really shed any pounds yet, but I can definitely feel some hard muscles under the layer of flab, and my waist seems smaller :)

Holy moly.... I just finished W1D1. I wonder if I"ll be able to walk tomorrow!!

On a side note: 1 year ago I tried doing her 30 Day Shred (original DVD) and could not make it through the first week, even on the modified version. Today... I was at LEAST able to keep up with the modified version. I train for triathlons and go to spin twice a week and I don't sweat like I did doing her workout. Wow.

    Cals Burned: 403
  • Just finished W1D5. Starting level 2 tonight, so excited to be moving on- level 1 isnt much of a challenge anymore! Wish me luck!

I've also noticed that I havent lost any weight (probably gained a lb) but i do think its more muscle weight- everything is definitely getting more toned.
