    OMG, I love this. lol

How did I miss that? It's awesome.....new Running challenge motto?

Our next "t-shirt" order will have to be sweat hoodies and long sleeve tech shirts with this motto, maybe?

    Fantastic idea!

    I like :)

    Ummm....

...that would be eleventy-two. I singed up for another yesterday. I didn't mention it with my post this morning because I was worried there might be a text limit or something...

    Upcoming races:
4/9 - Rock the Parkway half marathon (Kansas City, MO)
4/16 - Garmin Wickedly Fast half marathon (Olathe, KS)
4/23 - Race for Hope half marathon (North Kansas City, MO)
5/1 - Buffalo Bell Stampede half marathon (Leavenworth, KS)
5/14 - Running with the Cows half marathon (Bucyrus, KS)
    6/2 - Hospital Hill 5k 7pm PRE-RUN (Kansas City, MO)
6/3 - Hospital Hill half marathon 7am RE-RUN (Kansas City, MO)
9/25 - Broadway Bridge half marathon (Kansas City, MO)
10/15 - Kansas City Marathon 26.2 (Kansas City, MO)
11/5 - Jenks half marathon (Jenks, OK)
11/6 - Kansas half marathon (Lawrence, KS)
11/12 - Longview half marathon (Kansas City, MO)
11/13 - Gobbler Grind half marathon (Overland Park, KS)
11/19 - White River half marathon (Cotter, AR)
11/20 - Pilgrim Pacer half marathon (Lenexa, KS)

Seriously? I bow to you, the race King... I love your list since we are fair distance from one another. Would still like to do the Garmin half. But *um* quietly under breath* I'm not up for traveling this soon with DH again... :dizzy:

I had oral surgery this AM (implant- don't sleep with gum in your mouth kids. Especially when ma won't be taking you to the dentist. It cuts into her pot/beer money.) Doc said I can not run today. So, meds, drug induced coma and root beer for me today. I'm not in any pain, just preventing the pain of no running today...

Was slightly perturbed when they woke me. I was dreaming I was running..

@greenolivetree and @instantmartian - my hats do the same thing... they come down to and could cover the tops of my ears but it has never really bothered me much. I don't like when they come down in front though and hit my sunglasses. I pull my hair through the back to help keep them on my head. I really dislike the hoods on my running jackets for rain running because they fall down over my eyes even when I tie them.
One other idea you might consider is wearing a buff (http://www.buffwear.com/buff-adult-headwear/original-buff) - they are light weight, stretchy and super absorbent. I have even soaked mine in the drinking fountain and put it back on to cool off. I also use them when it is cooler here under my hat to keep me warmer. I don't use them as much in the heat because I am very fair and need the coverage a hat provides on my face.

@Elise4270 Last year I had no pace control so I think that will help this summer. I do have one of those cooling towels that you keep wet and snap them to activate the cooling? Never carried it running - kept in the car to cool off after.

@instantmartian Our small heads.... I was holding my hat on when I had to run into the wind yesterday

I'm so happy to hear I'm not the only one with hat problems. I. Just bought a new Brooks hat that is to big. I have one from the A2A race here and it fits fine. It's by Augusta. (Same company that did our shirts?). I also found some at Luke's Locker, Dallas running store, that fit. But I already spent 25 on a hat I can't wear. So didn't buy another..may rectify that the 11th of April.

If you do kids hats, I have one my daughter wore for sofball, the bill seems small.

Well, I have to *finish* these races before I could possibly accept any titles like "race king" (Me, race king? Yeah right!). Right now it's just a long list.

    Hope the pain subsides soon!

@Elise4270 - ha! you were probably moving your legs and they wanted you to not fall out of the chair :) glad you are feeling no pain!

I have decided to count my walks in my challenge miles since you all are motivating me to get out there even though I can't run. I probably shouldn't be doing as much as I am and am pretty sure my doctor wouldn't be thrilled but it is killing me to just sit around all day! I also upped my goal from 60 to 80.

@shanaber that Buff thing is cool :)

Another issue is I wear glasses so that means the hats coming down too far push my glasses.

@Elise4270 dreaming about running? Sounds like a good dream!

@greenolivetree - so of course I had to go back to the Buff site myself to see what is new and they now have a Visor Buff! I watched the video on the different ways to wear it and now I am just going to have to try it! It is everything I need in a head covering if it works as advertised!

When my wife and little guy are both in bed, I think I might just do it. Put in 2 miles, then do a couple strides

For those of you that had questions about herat rate monitor training:

Somebody posted that on our WRH FB page earlier today and thought I share it with everyone.

Afternoon run was great. Ran a short 2.02 miles at 11:12, but the pace seemed almost conversational. 42 degrees and sunny, perfect weather for my Champion C9 DuoDry shorts and tee This was also the first time I did solid running pushing my little man in his stroller. I'd only done intervals with hi before, and steady state running alone. He looked kind of shocked when we were done.

I have been away about two weeks. I actually deleted my account (I know I have issues) so my name is a tad different. I tried to pick up another job, which meant that full time very physical job (lost 3.5 lbs in a week of training vs my usual barely able to Los a half pound) plus my part time and also owning a store with my husband. Not the best choice for me so I quit. I'm pretty bad about feeling obligated to do for everyone else. Anyhow, I couldn't figure out how to fit running or working out in to it, (time and physically wise) and I miss it, so here I am. Obviously not going to make my March goal, but that's ok, I have all year to reach my ultimate goal for 2016, and have April to do some *kitten* kicking. See, this job pushed me further physically than I thought was possible with my health issues. So at this point I feel very hopeful that I can push myself even harder to reach my monthly goals. So I will definitely be getting back at it, just need to figure out where to start back from after 2 weeks of not running.

I bought a wool buff a few months ago. I love it. I'm going to check out the visor.
