Thank you! I really am, but i've also only just recently got back on the diet wagon, so i think my first few lbs are falling off! sure the next few weeks will be a struggle xx0 -

After raising my calorie intake, I'm still on starvation mode
I made a huge mistake, and I understood it only now. Please please please follow MFP's recommendations, and don't lower your calorie intake too much. It's really frustrating getting out of this mode. But I will do it! Slowly, day by day.

NSV - I actually had one today. I work in IT in a hospital and I always dreaded going into the OR to work on the computers there because I had to get into scrubs and they never had any that fit me well. I would have to strip down to my shorts and squeeze into the 2x pants they had and feel very self-conscious about bending over lest I bust a seam.
Today I couldn't put it off any longer and had to go into the OR to install a new PC. I decided that since I had lost so much, I would try to squeeze into the 2x pants with my slacks still on. Not only was I able to get them on over my slacks, but they were LOOSE by about 4 inches, and looked baggy once I sinched up the drawstring!
Tim that is AMAZING!!! No more worries about having to go to the OR.0 -

NSV- went perfectly, went to leeds for 2 days and no snacks no crisps no anything! had lots of healthy food and even went to the gym,
could see my bf has lost some weight too so being apart is obviously doing our bodies some good if not our hearts! xxx

Only a little .6 loss this week. but every bit counts.
I really can't think of any NSV's that I had this week. I will say that the ladies I work with are so nice, they tell me all the time how great I look, my personal trainer was so positive too, she was saying how much my stamina has improved since I started with her. I can't wait to see her in a year & show her how well I did & will continue to do! I know I will need to get another new bathing suit since I swim so much it is getting ruined by the colrine, guess any excuss to go shopping is ok.0 -
I still need to catch up on a lot of posts here, but I'm trying to spend a little less time on the computer (due to the health of my back).
Week Two Challenge (NSV Time!): My NSV this past week was taking out some time to work on myself. I recently read that over-eating is an effect, and what I really need to be looking for is the cause - like a shift in my way of thinking. That has been especially true for me for the past few months where I've seemed to have gone off track. Something has changed in my thinking, and I think I'm starting to get to the bottom of it. I think (know) I have a fear of reaching my goals. I allow myself to do well, but when I do too well, I self-sabotage, so I'm still working on this... Makes it a little hard to reach my goal!!
Reflection Question:
This past week I've struggled majorly with eating right. I've been eating whatever, not working out, and putting off other things I have to do as well. I'm finally getting the things I've been putting off, done, but I need to get back to healthy eating and working out. Mostly healthy eating! I'm totally off with it! So yeah, I handled it by eating? And then feeling guilty, and then feeling inspired to take the actions that I described above (searching for the cause). So I'm looking for an effective way to solve this.
3 things I could have done to solve my over-eating:
1) Distracted myself by doing the things that I've been putting off - when I have things that need doing, and I don't want to do them, I usually eat instead
2) Distracted myself and done something else that I didn't need to do, but at least it wouldn't have been eating. When I know I need to do something, I often can't do anything else besides that one thing, cause I feel guilty about putting it off, so I eat... (See the pattern?)
3) Made other cupboards besides mine (the healthy cupboard) off limit. Living with family has many downfalls... I need to say NO to their food, and then get something from mine, and ONLY when hungry! I'm such a huge boredom eater.0 -
