SAY "NO" TO LATE NIGHT SNACKING -- APRIL 2016 CHALLENGE

Tired of self-sabotaging by munching after dinner? Upset that you double your in-calories at night? Then it's not just me . To get some help (or inspire us by your good example), please join us in this challenge.

You set what you feel is late night snacking. For example, if you have extra calories left for the day, you can have a snack if it's small. Others decide not to eat at a past a certain time. It's up to you.

We go by the formula:
Me: "number indicating how many evenings you stuck to it"
LNS: "number of times late night snacks won"

Example: Me: 2 - LNS: 0 indicates I won the first two nights.

Some people also add a * to the latest number. In the example, that would be
Me: 2 - LNS: 1*
if LNS won the 3rd night.

It's as simple as that. Or as complicated, as you will discover. Nevertheless, the persistence and good results of some of our "old" members (and some people keep coming back) show that the battle is worthwhile .

You will notice some people post streaks of how many days they are free of late night snacking. This is definitely not a requirement, but if you want to do it for motivation, it works well.

    Okay so I'm gonna try to not eat after 7pm for April (mostly my days start at 5am). First time trying this challange feature...

    • Finish eating at 9pm 25/31 nights. 25/25
    • Finish eating at 10pm 6/31 nights of my choice. 6/6
    • Take it one day at a time.

    Me: 31*
    LNS: 0
    Streak: 31... (36 overall; longest: 63) :smiley:

    Having found the group and completed the last two weeks of March this will be my first complete month, I'm looking forward to the challenge.

    April goals
    No eating after 9pm 26/30
    No eating after 10pm 4/30

    March result (started on 21/03)
    Me: 11
    LNS: 0

    Started in March for 18 days - now starting for a full month. I really need this challenge...

    April Goals:
    No eating after 8 pm unless small amount of calories left
    No eating after 10 pm.

    I know that I for one have finally got the midnight munchies under control.
    Just having to be accountable to others does the trick for me! :sunglasses:

    I plan to beat my longest streak this month.

    This Challenge is perfect! I just resolved to stop eating after 7:00, and then found the Challenge. This added accountability is an awesome tool! :)

    April goal: No snacking after 7pm 26/30.

    I really need this.... I do great during the day but have been over-eating in the PM a lot lately and blowing my calorie goals for the day.

    April Goal: No snacking after 8pm... unless after working out and only if calories left!!

    Okay...goals for April...
    1: Don't snack after 8pm on weekdays.
    2: Don't snack after 10pm on weekends. I will shoot to cut myself off at 8pm, but just in case special circumstances arise (movies, late dinner), I will have the flexibility to make it 10pm
    3: Drink water or tea at night and continue to find things to do to keep my mind off of food...like puzzles, reading, cards (my family loves to play Rook) and board games.

    BTW-Thanks lamlam! This challenge has really helped me with reducing my calorie intake. I really had no idea how much I ate at night until I started this challenge a few months ago. It is still a challenge sometimes at night to not reach for a "snack" but I would be so mad at myself for blowing my streak! This challenge makes me accountable and for that I am very grateful!!!

    April goals - 2nd month of this challenge

    No snacking after dinner 26/30 nights
    Can snack after dinner 4/30 nights but only on weekends.
    This month I'm adding in a clause that I can eat one small piece of fruit after working nights.
