Starting my half-ironman taper this week, along with a marathon taper late this month, so cutting back about 30% from last month, and just going for 500 miles.

Hi everyone!
I'd like to join this challenge too, if I may.
Since last winter, I live <5km away from work, so taking the bike when it isn't raining should be doable. Apart from the fact that most of the way to work is uphill, and on all three occasions I tried, those hills were absolutely killing me!
I have to admit I've never enjoyed riding a bike. But a few years ago I hated running, and now I absolutely love it, so I've been thinking maybe biking could be an "acquired taste" too
In any case, I'll give it a shot - and hopefully joining this challenge will keep me accountable and force me to stick to my good intentions. My goal for April will be 100km, which should be doable with an average of 2.5 trips to work per week. With one ride to work on the 1st, and a short trip to the supermarket yesterday, I've already gotten a started on that.

Weather is improving, I'll set my goal at 400 this month. Glad I didn't join the 30 day challenge, I have already blown it and missed two days.

I was just directed to this wonderful challenge by @Machka9 (thanks!) and I think I'm going to give this a try.
Month one's a bit of a crapshot, right? Based on what I biked last month (literally my first month biking), and where I'm at so far, I'm going to try for 180 miles for the month of April.
So far I've biked:
4/1 - 9.3 miles
4/3 - 19.22 miles0 -
4/1 - 17 miles
4/2 - 23 miles
4/3 - 2.5 miles - had intended to do a longer ride with SO, but he had bike issues. Ended up running to the store for milk and took the bike rather than the car to keep up my 30 days of biking.
4/4 - 24 miles - Brrrrr chilly again, temps in the 20s this morning and my toes were frozen when I got to work. Should have worn boots. Might need to invest in some shoe covers so I can keep wearing my clip in shoes. They do make clip in winter boots but they're hella expensive and don't come in my size The bike industry is tough for short peeps, and extra hard if you have smaller feet.

OK I'm in, despite a bit of working abroad this month. I'm a bike returner ( after so many years) amazed I can do it at all. So my distances are short! Gotta start somewhere , yes?

Just came across this today, I'm in for 500 miles for April. In March I hit 548 miles cycling, 613 miles total, including rowing and hiking.

Hi all. New to the thread. Former cyclist trying to get myself back into a routine after taking a longish break rehabbing from foot surgery. Just started doing the short commute to work by bike one or two days/week and hoping to get back into group riding on the weekend. My goal for April is 200 miles.
