That's awesome!0 -
A coworker brought Cinnabon cinnamon rolls for our department today. I said NO THANK YOU!!1

Back in December I was wearing a 5XLT t-shirt. My brother in law bought me a 2XL years ago and told me someday it would fit. I hung it in the closet thinking it would never fit. I tried it on yesterday and to my surprise it fit! It was still tight but it fit. I went from wearing 5XL shirts to comfortably wearing 3XL and close to 2XL!6

Still new here but last night my husband gave me a big hug and whispered in my ear that he's proud of me and that I inspire him to work out on days he doesn't want to.4

I don't know if this is considered an NSV but it seems so to me. I have hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol (for laughs sometime look up "metabolic syndrome - I'm their poster child.) Anyway, the hospital at which I work offered free coronary CT scans with a calcium scores and angiograms to confirm the results. The higher the calcium score the higher the plaque build up in the coronary arteries and the higher the likelihood of a heart attack. After years of a poor diet and sedentary lifestyle, I figured I was in trouble, but instead, the calcium score was zero! No plaque buildup in my coronary arteries! The angiogram then confirmed it!
Best free test I've ever been given!

Heart rate monitor chest strap fell down to my hips during a run!3

I started doing a little intermittent jogging. Not a lot, and not fast, but I'm doing it.4

I got in my old navy size 10s today, 5 more lbs and they will be the perfect fit! I also ran 5 miles today only stopping once to tie my shoes and that was less than 60 seconds! Then at 5 miles I walked for 3 minutes then finished up sprinting for 5 minutes followed by cool down! Did 6.2 miles in 65:00! I am excited to see what I can do tomorrow!1

18 months ago I was wearing size 48 shorts. Just tried on a pair of 38's and they fit, great to be buying pants with a "3" at the start of the size (and I don't mean 3XL!).3
-
i went shopping for shorts yesterday. grabbed about 6 pairs to try on (ranging from size 4-6... i used to wear an 8), and for the first time in a VERY long time, none of them were too small, in fact most were too big! settled on a pair of size small. woohooooo4

Got a few today:
Bought an apple teacake for my workmate's birthday afternoon tea and didn't have any of it (told it was delicious though lol)
I can fit one of my 15 year old's t-shirts (YAY!)
Almost halfway through C25K programme, used to struggle to run 90 seconds, now it dosen't feel as long compared to the minutes I have to run now lol

I made the decision to join a gym <--- VERY big one for me.3

Finally hit the 150's on the scales today! They have been taunting me on the scale since last week5
-
I was walking up some stairs and my husband was lagging behind. I stopped and turned around and was waiting for him. He smiles and said, "No, keep going!" Haha7

I'm getting strong! I am in Cross fit. I can do real push ups, squats, and burpees. Feeling so good about my progress in getting healthy3

As of this morning, I am down a total of 7 pounds and 15". My favorite jammies are also falling down!3

I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for more than a decade. I refused to get it resized. Kept saying I would lose weight. Finally did and last week I put it on and it fits.5

just noticed the other day that when I am sitting on the couch it doesn't sink in as much. The last 3 couches I've purchased I was incredibly unhappy with and thought the whole time that "they just don't make them like they used to".
Nope. Just fat.8 -
I went thrift store shopping last weekend and found a super cute dress and a skirt in size 12. I don't really like trying on clothes at thrift stores and most of what I'm wearing right now is size 16 or 18 but I bought them, figuring that they would probably fit in a month or two. Got home, decided to try them on just to see how close they were to fitting and they both fit fine! The skirt was a little tight but not so much that I can't wear it4

Doc says I can lift up to 5lb weights!! Yay! (a little backstory)
I broke my wrist over the holidays and haven't been able to use it for almost 6 months (per doctors order). I'm allowed to lift again. A small victory for me!4 -
I was doing assisted pull-ups today and could finally feel that they were easier! Feeling my new back muscles engage and lift me up was such a motivating feeling!!3
-
Bought a size M belt! It fits, but only on the first notch, lol
Also this is totally scale related but I made it to the 150s and have stayed under 160 most of the week!5 -

I was asked if I was training for something at the gym yesterday after nearly 12 weeks straight of weight lifting and cardio sessions up to 6 days a week! After I said no, he said, so your just a little beast
I take that as a compliment. I told the gentleman I was just working on me and not being 'flabby'. He said mission accomplished.
Total NSV becuase my weight hasn't changes more than 3 lbs in the process.
Today in the cafeteria, they were giving out ice cream for completing an employee survey....I opted for the Apple !3 -

the straps on my cami's are getting too lose, even tightened all the way!
Collarbones are becoming more prominent
and i stared at my face for seriously 10 minutes today because it looked like someone had contoured my cheek/jawbone area (which i dont do, ever). Super happy to feel like i'm thinning out finally!2 -
aliceghinn wrote: »I cheered myself up yesterday with a dose of new-found perseverance. It was 7:30pm, had a hard day and my little kids seemed extra cranky, the house felt untidy and i had a headache...but hadn't done my run yet for the day. I felt like crawling into bed with a book and an extra blanket! However, i reminded myself that the only person i was cheating was myself, so i got out the door with my C25K program and ran... felt so good to overcome the minor diversions and do it because i know its so good for me. Of course, I came home feeling high, headache had gone and decided to give the laundry room a tidy up and clean (even mopped the floor at 9:30pm!)
Added bonus (and this is scale related so doesnt really belong here...but..) the scale was down another pound this morning - reward!!!.... YAYAAY!
I love your dedication and commitment. I have those days too. Yesterday was one of them. But I got my butt up and worked out!0
