I was stunned at how I could actually RUN again once I hit the 160's again. I can't WAIT to see what happens if I get closer to goal.

The weight creeps up on you so slow you don't realize what it can do to you until you are either in real trouble or until you take a bit of it off.0

Hey hey just stopping in to see what's going on... sixty-plus-hour work weeks blow.0
-
32 hours of OT this pay period.. Ugh.0
-
No OT for me on this one0
-
I don't get overtime. Doesn't matter if I work 20 hours or 120 hours. I get paid the same. Welcome to the world of medical professionals. Of course, since I'm the boss, I can't complain. I'm the one that schedules myself for 100 hours a week.0

They do....especially when you have to cut back on caffeine for medical reasons. :grumble:
HEY! GUYS! It's my FRIDAY!!!!!
I have a BUNCH of adulting to do on my three day "weekend". I have to go to the dentist tomorrow at 11:30am(first dental exam in almost 10 years!), get fitted for new uniforms(I've lost 60 pounds since the ones I'm wearing were issued), and clean my car. I hope to have it ALL done by Wednesday evening so I can just lounge and be as UNadult as possible on Thursday.0 -
I love it when I don't have to adult. Enjoy!0
-
It's my Friday as well. I did my adult stuff today. Cost me some sleep but now I'm goofing off tomorrow and biking. :-)0
-
@lilaclovebird Congratulations on the 60 lb loss and new uniforms.
@belimawr the way our schedule works, my highest hours in a row was 8 12hr days (96 hrs). One of those coming up at the end of the month... agreed, they do blow!
@health_guard I haven't done 80 OT yet, 53 hrs OT was my highest.
@ everybody 1 1/2 days until a day off.. whoop whoop!0 -
So I have a chihuahua here that is vomiting. Apparently grandma was in an accident and had an accident and the dog ate it. Now we get to figure out what meds grandma was on so we know what to do about the vomiting.0

That totally blows.
I don't know how it works with you, what makes it worse is that by law, they are required to give us eight hours off between tours - and that's all the agency gives us (and they stick to it religiously)... which means I get off at 6am, commute home, get home at 8:30-9:30 depending on traffic... and have to be up at 9:15 for the commute back to be in at 2pm. Three days in a row of that, and blah... it's been like that some time now several times a week.0 -
glad you guys starting your weekend today live elsewhere...we're supposed to get three straight days of rain here in Nashvegas.

That sucks Tom, that was my weekend pretty much up here... rain and more rain... made for a great opportunity to some work in the basement.
Note to self: when unplugging the sump pump to do some work, remember to plug it back in! Fortunately it has been dry other than this past weekend.0 -
in today's episode of "I Hate Stupid People":
the Lab manager who's been here all afternoon, but waits until after 6pm - when the last person who could've assisted with her issue has gone home for the day - to report she has an issue.
make yourself comfortable, She Who Has No Sense Of Time...8AM on Wednesday is a long way away.0 -
I need a vacation.0
-
@belimawr It would almost serve you to sleep at work when you got off, you would gain 3 hrs sleep, lol. We work 12 hrs shifts, and the max that we can work in a single period is 16 hrs, but then we would only have 8 hours as well before the next shift starts. Fortunately, we (supervisors) do not get held over too much.
Whoop whoop, a night off starts in 1 hr and 15 min!0 -

There are a couple of clinics in the valley that tell clients they can either weight until 8:30 in the morning or go to the ER (That's us) because they are not calling their doctor back in when he just left for the day. They get all mad and when they come in I ask if their family physician would come back in once he went home. The last time I asked that the clients said, "Well that's different!" You can't please all the people all the time.0 -
I run into the same issue; people think you're just suppose to be at their beck and call for whatever they want. People call at 0130 and want to come get a police report that was just taken 30 mins prior and are ticked when they can't.
That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works lol0 -
I have to laugh a bit at that. People look at me surprised when I tell them they can have the medical record the following morning. I'm not sure if they think I'm that fast of a typist and have nothing else to do? Or do they think the records magically appear? I'm not sure how well they thought that one through.0

LOL. One of the hardest workers I have is also my youngest. My hardest worker is my oldest. It seems like somewhere in the younger part of the middle is where I can't seem to break the bond they have to their cell phone. I think it was either super glued to their hand or surgically implanted.0

There is something about a mystery case at Midnight that doesn't make me happy. These people will want an instant diagnosis but their vet has been working on it all day. I don't think that's going to happen.0
-
These allergies... I feel like I just wanna throw up all over everything.
Post nasal drip is horrible.0 -
Right there with you on that one. I'm miserable this year.0
-
Its really bad this year.. Ugh... drip drip drip...0
