My husband ran cross country all through high school... He's doesn't run like he used to but he's always been active. This morning he joined me for my Week 2 Day 3 of Couch to 5K workout. I could keep pace with him during the running intervals. He was running the whole time and pushing the jogging stroller but I'll take it! We've been married 7 years and this was the first time we've run together - I love that this is something I can do with him now!

I ran (ran!) with my little nephew up and down the garden and didn't get knackered or out of breath. Summer will be so much fun if i keep this up!11

I went to Thunder Over Louisville last night. Every year we park in the same spot and walk to the same area to watch the fireworks/airshow. (About 3/4 a mile one way). Last year over that distance, I had to stop several times, and I even fell, rolled my ankle, and had to walk back on it at 331 lbs. This year, at 245 lbs I walked that distance, pushed a double seater stroller for half that distance with 100 lbs+ of kid/cargo, and was never tired or out of breath once.30

So haven't seen any movement in the scale for about 6 weeks, was getting frustrated. I was still noticing a difference in how my clothes fit, having a little more energy now I have added some exercise but was still disappointed and doubting if I was making any progress. Well, yesterday my NSV was going through a fence! You know those cut outs that are in chain link fences around sports fields? Last year I wouldn't just get caught up in them, I actually wouldn't fit through Yesterday, I went to my son's rugby game and without thinking, just tossed my chair through the opening, and then climbed through. It wasn't until I was on the other side I realized what I had done - woo hoo!18

Noticed this morning my PJ top is hanging off of me. It keeps riding off one shoulder. It was snug before I started losing weight two months ago.9

Good for you! I can totally relate - I love rice and couscous (potatoes not so much) and have really cut back on them. I just substitute a spinach and tomato salad - nearly every night. Will keep that up until I hit my goal weight.4 -

Went to the chiropractor. I was laying face down on the table when he walked in. He said "wow, you have lost some weight. I can tell in your waist and through your hips. Nice job". Made me feel good because it was totally spontaneous.
Second NSV- I ride motorcycles. I have a pair of riding pants I quit wearing because they were way too small. This morning, pulled them on and rode all day. I'm smiling!12 -
Leaving on a beach vacay in two weeks, and have put off trying on the swimsuits I had worn last summer when I was a few pounds lighter. They're a tad loose in the butt!! So relieved!9

I'm so excited! Today I ran 2 blocks, walked a block, ran a block, etc! 6 months ago I couldn't do the elliptical for even 5 minutes without feeling that I was going to die! I hated breaking a sweat 6 months ago, now I love it! I thought I was going to live out the rest of my life with a horrible bad back, always tired, sluggish and depressed. (I'm 41) Not anymore! My back is strong, no more depression, a ton of energy, and I'm looking sexy, if I say so myself!

Walking is so much more fun with a dog. Watch out, though, he'll start expecting those walks. Every time my dog sees me putting my coat on, she gets excited and runs to the door, hoping for a walk.
My dog does the same thing, when she see's me putting on my walking shoes she's up and ready to go.0 -
