Today I realized that what I had thought were stubborn bits of fat on the inner side of my knees were actually part of my knee bones. Apparently it's been so long since they've been noticeable that I didn't recognize them.5

I've lost over 40 lbs and my business suits are literally falling off of me. I went in to buy some new suits, and when they measured and fit me, they put me into a slim fit suit!!!
Was NOT expecting that...
I read something on Facebook the other day..."a well tailored suit to a woman has the same effect lingerie has for men"....great job!
Wow that is great!0 -
I haven't had a binge-free Sunday in SO long, and today I finally did it! Here's to starting the week off feeling happy and healthy12

A couple of friends and I went for a hike in Yosemite today, we decided to hike 4-5 miles. Then we decided to do a 6.5 mile loop. That loop turned out to be 10.5 miles, and it rained on us for the last few miles. Gonna sleep good tonight.20

I had to enter a new exercise-I've gotten faster with walking-I wear a "misfit" tracker. It's now vigourous exercise so I upped my MFP spped to 3.5 mph and caloire burn is similar. (I don't let them talk electronically)3

Thanks! Pretty much a habit by now
156 is great! Knew seeing the 100 meant that it was working and more likely to keep going. Really wish I started weight lifting to begin with since would be so much closer to goal instead of mainly doing cardio back then. Healthy mix of doing both and seeing much more progress. Everything is a learning experience!1 -
My eight year old grandson told me yesterday "Nana, you're looking skinnier." out of the blue. Feels good! Forty pounds down, forty to go....10

As of this morning, I'm out of the 200's and into the 100's again. Wooo!34

I have two: Hadn't done stairs in a long time, even 5 flights didn't get me out of breath, and light walking is my only exersize!
A pair of summer pants that had always been uncomfortable and tight around the waist this year fit properly and loosely.
Its fun to be able to post on this thread after 5 months of reading it for motivation!13 -
one of the kids at work asked me if I was losing weight. First time I was asked that at work since I have been on this journey!! Felt so good!!!7

I look down and I've got some extra material in my shirt that wasn't there before...I like that.6

A lady at church ran up to me and asked, "What program are you using?" I looked at her quizzically, and she said, "Exercise program, to lose weight. Because you're looking great." So I told her I dusted off my P90X3 program and log on MFP. Even though I was covered in puke (my kid got threw up on my at the end of church), her compliment put a smile on my face.9

Starting week 3 of Insanity so it's the second Fit Test...excited to see how I do tonight.
This past weekend I went to Costco with my brother and niece. She wanted me to carry her the entire time through the store and I ended up having to put her down about 3 times since she was getting so heavy. Later on my brother told me he was surprised I carried her as long as I did since she's 51 lbs. I realized I was literally carrying around as much as I've lost so far and just how HEAVY those 51 lbs were. I love her to pieces but I never want to be carrying that much around on myself ever again.21 -
I only have two chins instead of three!14

I was playing with my 6 ur old nephew over the weekend and caught him when he ran away from me. He looked at me and said " Auntie, you got fast!" Best. day. Ever21

The other night, I was joking around with my boyfriend and play wrestling with him (yes, I'm an adult! ). As I was trying to wrestle his arms away so I could tickle his stomach, he said through laughter, "How are you so strong??"
Weight lifting, baby. Oh yeah!18 -

I cleared out my closet maybe three weeks ago, and sorted all the 'too small' clothes into boxes labelled for when I thought they'd be worth trying on again.
Today I pulled down the first box of things that were all a bit tight at that time, and every single thing fits. I even chose not to keep a few because they weren't flattering, and removed a few of the larger things currently in my closet for the same reason. If I suddenly have so many 'new' clothes, why keep things that are just baggy and/or shapeless?
It was a very nice feeling.13 -
