Out of the "morbidly obese" category into "obese". Im so excited to be "overweight", lol
Holy crap I just realized I'm out of the morbidly obese category and into the "severely obese" category! Yay! I know it doesn't sound good compared to some people but considering I started in a high 40s maybe even 50 It's great for me so far. I'll take that NSV any day.
Congrats to both of us lol!31 -

The regular ladies XL clothes I tried on fit yesterday. I can't remember the last time I shopped in a section other than plus-sized (other than Old Navy and their crazy inconsistent sizes).
And I dropped off three donation trash bags full of old clothes. Adios!11 -
lost another half inch off my waist!10

I had cataract surgery last Wednesday. While waiting to be wheeled into surgery, they had me hooked up to various monitors. I kept setting off the heart rate monitor. Why? They had the minimum set at 50, and my supine resting heart rate kept dropping to 48/49. Diagnosis: The surgeon confirms this is fitness-induced bradycardia! (To those who are worried, I've been fully checked out in the past, and have no/zero/nada symptoms of cardiac anomalies. I'm extremely active, especially for a 60-year-old woman. And I seem to have dropped a few more beats in resting rate now that the heart that used to power an obese-but-active body is now powering a tinier me.)
I spent quite a bit of time kicking my feet above the gurney, just to make the "ding-ding-ding" noise stop.18 -
Being able to comfortably fit into my clothes again!4

Tried on some of my pre-pregnancy shorts today, even though I'm a few lbs above pre-pregnancy weight...and they are loose! It's amazing how much lifting weights can change body shape. Yay!

Completed c25k on Friday and then ran yesterday for longer.
It's obscene how proud I am of myself, but I don't think I've enjoyed exercise since I was about 16 and I'm 33 now. I'm going to embrace it!13 -
We launched our boat for the season on Sunday, and I had to tighten the strap on my life vest several inches since last fall.
Today I ran 41 minutes, non stop. A month ago I was at 20 min and did not think I would make it, or WANT to make it, to 40 minutes. 40 was the goal I set after finishing C25K sooner than expected 2 weeks ago. Three months ago I could not run 1 minute and honestly did not think my 61 year old body would ever let me make it past 10 minutes. 2 years ago I could not WALK 1/4 mile without excruciating pain.[/quote. Wonderful!!2 -
In Australia size 10 jeans, American size 297

Kicked my own butt last night for a fitbit competition with coworkers. Starting C25K put me ahead, but I didn't get off that treadmill until I had a 3000 step lead! It felt amazing despite how tired I was afterward.9

What is c25k? I've seen a lot of people refer to it.-1 -
Was able to jog for 8 minutes yesterday- haven't done that in years! Also, my teenage daughter told me my jeans were too baggy yesterday- a size down from my usuals and they are too baggy?!- it made me smile!7

One of my friends pointed out that when I said, 'I've lost so much weight that 100 squats doesn't seem like work until about the 90th." was a NSV8

It's a running training app. C25K stands for Couch to 5K. It's an 8 week program that gradually increases the running while decreasing the walking. I've completed it and am now running multiple 5Ks a week, this being when starting at the beginning the 1 minute run got me breathing hard. It's a great tool if you're interested in improving your cardio ability3 -

Couch to 5K. It's a running program designed to take you from couch potato to running a 5K, or 30 minutes, in 8 weeks. (Or longer if you need to repeat a few weeks! ) It's great for a beginner runner, and helps avoid burnout!3 -
Ran my first 5 K in 20 years. Sub 30 minutes.19
