    5/7 - 2 mi
    5/8 - 2 mi
    5/9 - 2 mi
    5/13- 2mi
    5/15- 1mi
    5/17- 1 mi
    5/20- 3mi
    5/22- 3mi
    5/23- 2 mi
    5/25- 2mi
    5/28- 2mi
    5/30- 3mi

    29 down 1 to go

Only missed goal by 1 mile. Not bad. I didn't add in all the partial miles so I am counting it as a win.

First run in the park without Neeko. It was weird but kind of nice not having to worry about the other dogs out there and their stupid owners. It was not crazy hot and humid so that was nice, but I think it would have been even less humid if I ran on the streets instead of in the park but it was still good. I made sure to drink 2 bottles of water before I left and 1 on the way home and I didn't get as dizzy as I usually do so that is a start.

Hope everyone who raced this last weekend kicked kittens!

I didn't race, and my cat is about 3 years old now, but she managed to stand behind me as I went down for a pigeon pose to stretch my hip abductor on Saturday and whipped my trailing leg out behind me. So I guess this weekend I kind of kicked a kitten. (She forgave me.)

Congrats @AdrianChr92 on running 6 days in a week! Hope your injury clears up.

@_nikkiwolf_ - Great timing on your electrolyte post! I ordered some electrolyte tablets yesterday because I have had a couple experiences (one today in fact) where I would have been best served with being able to balance my water, electrolytes and carbs all individually, not together. So I'm planning to take water, those tablets and some simple carb sources to see how that works.

Also congrats on topping 200k and for being in range of that incredible Strava climbing challenge!

@Elise4270 - The park is a great idea!

@greenolivetree - Way to tackle those hills!

@juliet3455 - Holy smokes congrats on the amazing race! Way to support those back of the pack runners too!

@shanaber - Who needs lush green trails when you have a beach!

Congrats @vandinem on topping the monthly and yearly goals!

Congrats @Stoshew71 on the PR! Hope your wife's ankle is OK soon.

Sorry to hear you were under the weather @skippygirlsmom, but you toughed it out like a champ! Congrats to Skip though!

@RespectTheKitty - The heat is tough at first. It kicked my butt today. It is good training still and you will notice results.

Haha! I kicked mine and she's 10 months. But in all fairness, she runs in front of me. Kind of kitty trippin'.

Thanks everyone for getting on board with the running wish park. There should be pools of various temps, all in little circles and an island in the middle for food and drinks.

Kind of just torture thinking about the ideal running park.

@Elise4270 - there should be beer and pizza near the exit. Or did you already plan that?

The island serves beer and tacos (not made with cat food- taco bell), like a fuzzy's tacos.. I hadn't though of pizza (not gluten free, so)... I dropped the ball on the mental placement of pizza. No worries, there's plenty room for the pizza. I mean, the park is huge and the pizza is on the other side of the park.

Trails are 100 miles for the cyclists and there's an ironman triathlon loop each with race like transition areas...of course there's a sprint distance. And loops for the runners that are 50 miles with water/fuel stations.

And theres a steak house for rest days.

So.... some day, in this life or another......we will run care free. Oh and if you wanna work at the park, it only employes athletes and pays way more than you make now... year 'round.

    My life is empty...... :(

Hey- it's like 6 flags for runners!

I'll move to this park no matter where it's built.

@whatmerunning Exit, why the kitten would you ever want to leave. Running, swimming, biking, beer, pizza and everything else. Made me think of the Eagles and Hotel California.

A very light/easy 5km stretch run tonight. Well the data says it was easy and light but that's not what my body was saying. Lots of complaining and parts that kept saying I'm stiff go laydown, put your feet up and relax.
That will be it for the month as tomorrow night is Triathlon Swim club so no running. See everyone in June.
just a Scootch short of my goal. Or is that Scotch.

This morning was a short recovery run day. Everything was tight last night and this morning. So the first couple of miles were horrible. But then everything started to loosen up so it ended up not being too bad. I feel much better now.

NOTE: No kittens were kicked this weekend, but there were a couple I wanted to kick this morning when I woke up this morning and walked into the kitchen only to see the garbage can knocked over with garbage all over the floor.

    5/29- 4.01
    5/30-3.01<- impromptu run with mom
5/31- 9.01<- heavy leg long run

    Totals: 126.4/100

Notes on today's run: Heavy Legs! After running 12-4-3 over Sat, Sun, Mon, with Monday's run on a normal rest day, my legs did not like me today! Oh, did I mention the 11mph steady wind with bigger gusts that was a headwind the whole way out? Thank goodness the return was a tailwind!

Today's assignment was 1h20m-1h40m at E. I ended up running 9.01 miles in 1:33:35 for an average pace of 10:24. Fir first 4.5 miles felt more like a tempo run, but the 4.5 on the way back made up for it by being pretty easy miles.

This run was a great way to close out May. I ended up surpassing my goal by 26 miles, and passing my April mileage by a whopping 40 miles! I'm pretty stoked about that. Looking forward to June with confidence that I can run a heck of a lot more than I thought I could just a few months ago.

Had a really busy weekend and just trying to catch up. Not quite there but need to post what I can and get to work.
I had a 5 mile run planned so I would hit my 75, but had a bathroom emergency and had to head back home. I was out of time and would have felt silly running out the door for .4 miles to hit my 75.

@greenolivetree - we wouldn’t kick you out of my cycling group! We are the B-Nice group! Love the pictures! Beautiful
@ohhim - welcome back to the humidity!
    @adrianchr92 - great picture!
    @9voice9 - congratulations!
@4leighbee - wow! Great times on that long run!
@stoshew71 - awesome PR! - hope your wife is okay. Congrats to her as well!

I figured I had punished my quads and glutes enough with the hills over the last few runs so I took a flat 6 mile route for todays easy run. It turned out to be very refreshing.

Congrats to everyone who reached their goals!

And a big shout out to those who did a whole lot of kitten kicking and exceeded their goals!

Also big kudos to those who tried their best but came up short of their goals due to injury, life events, bathroom breaks, etc!

I will not be running today (XT day for me), so my total for the month is 83.4 miles running/walking. Next month I'm only going to count running miles, that will help keep my *kitten* in gear.

Round out the month with "what did you learn" as the last few miles come in?

I learned the value of hills, hydration training, heat tolerance and revisited what it's like to start a running program. I should get serious about cross training. I'm not sure why I don't look like a pro runner yet..... or why I'm not as fast as one.
