I've always been a singer, but I've noticed more stamina and power, and it's easier to breathe correctly for singing as I lose weight.20

I realized this morning that every single pair of pants I own can be pulled on and off without unbuttoning them. I guess I need to go shopping.16

After all, who the hell skips a meal and a chance to eat food!?! Today I went out to lunch unexpectedly, and ate more than I'd planned for the meal...coming out to about 90% of my calories for the rest of the day! Was really worried that I'd ruined my calories for the day. Came home and took a nap, woke up, watched a movie, and really pleased to say that I'm not hungry yet! So nice to know that my allotted calories are enough for me. In the past I'd have eaten dinner no matter WHAT -- happy to say I'll have a light fruit snack before sleeping and that'll be that
I've been doing that too! I'll have too much at work and come home and want the big meal for dinner. My husband still doesn't understand why I could possibly pass up a plate of his fantastic spaghetti or tacos or frozen pizza (He does most of the cooking)! But he's starting to.6 -
Massage therapist commented that I was in "great shape" and she loves working on me.9

First attempt of stair machine several weeks ago and I lasted 5 minutes. This weekend I did it again, 51 flights in 24 minutes. I felt like Rocky!28

I was doing a bike ride with some friends and a guy riding the same route joined me for a conversation saying 1) he liked my outfit (which I'm wearing in my profile picture) and 2) asking how much touring I did (as in long distance riding).10

I just started doing that with a pair of pants I love, but are getting too big (and were really expensive, so I'll be damned if I buy another pair before I'm at my goal weight). Way to go!6 -

If by celebration you mean huffing and puffing with a smile on my face, then YES!!!!!11 -
Ex-military spouse so I kept my vet's pt uniforms. Love the quality of the shirts. Lots of room now to workout in and it isn't so tight.4

First was fitting into swim trunks that I couldn't even get up over my booty last summer. Second was getting checked out on the beach this weekend. That made my soul smile.13

I am still flying high after what happened to me this last weekend. I have an interview this Friday, so I needed to go shopping for a new outfit as all of my dress pants are now quite large and make me look frumpy. On my way there, I was hoping and praying that I would be down a full size and that the next size down would fit nicely and not be too tight. I was just dreading the idea of being in between sizes, because then I knew that I wouldn't look as good for this interview for a job that I am very very interested in. I tried on tops and bottoms, and I was happy to find out that I am down one size in tops. But...I was ELATED to find out that I was down TWO SIZES in bottoms! I carry most of my weight in the hip/thigh area, so this is a big deal!
People have been telling me that they really notice the weight loss now. I knew my clothes felt differently, but I couldn't see a difference even though I have been taking pictures. When I tried on the new pants and top that I ended up buying, I could finally SEE the difference. I was so happy that I called my husband after leaving the store to tell him the good news.31 -
I wore a Bikini to the beach this weekend. It would be a lie to say that I felt totally comfortable but seeing as I haven't worn a bikini in 8 years I'm sure it will just take some getting used to. The point is that I did it because there is no way I would have 3 months and 10lbs ago!10

I have recently just moved country again and went to check out the local gym (on day 2). I was explaining to the girl I had about another 10kg to lose, and she looked me up and down and said "from where" made my day15

Nice self control!
Take photos and measure yourself regularly, and also take note of the way your clothing fits - sometimes we really struggle to see any difference in the mirror ourselves, even when the scale shows we're losing, so having other ways to see progress is a great help and very motivating! (And that's really what this entire fabulous thread is about. )7 -
Did my first ever unassisted pull-up. Felt so nice i did it twice. Boom.42

Never in my life have I been able to do that, even when I was a practicing dancer. How inspiring!3 -

I had an appointment at the orthotics department today (they sort out specialised insoles for shoes) and the consultant asked me of I was active. I was delighted to be able to say, "Yes, I am!". Turns out that I am more active than the consultant is13

Went to a Body Pump class at my new gym last night. I had never done that workout before, and was very nervous.
Everyone was incredibly nice, from the instructor to the other participants, helping me get set up and briefly demonstrating all of the moves in the "track" before we did it, so I was able to kind of keep up.
I am definitely feeling it today, but I also definitely plan on going again next week!

I bought a swimsuit yesterday. It's a tankini. (At 48 I doubt I'll ever wear a bikini again) Both pieces are size Medium. I haven't worn the same size top and bottom in years and certainly not a medium. Who knows? Maybe my husband is right and I should go for the bikini.
How nice that your husband encourages you to go for the bikini! Awesome
