Lol .... Obviously you can't or haven't been reading the entire thread. We are discussing what has been helpful to us in our journey. Some others are giving us their results from experience. How can anyone be possibly spreading myths? Everything won't work for everyone and with that being said let us continue on and you do the same someplace else. GEESH!!!! Smh
actually, the way to gain weight and add muscle is to eat in calorie surplus, hit macros and micros, and perform progressive overload, works for everybody regardless, so yea, we are all the same when it comes to adding weight an muscle.10 -

The thing is when you gain weight you gain fat (how much, and how fast has to do with genetics). you cant gain it where you want. it goes on where ever it wants just like losing weight, it comes off where it wants. you cant spot reduce.so you cant spot gain either.so if you are seeing it in your belly now it means it may take longer to gain in other areas.trust me I was thin and when I gained weight it was all from my waist down, then I lost weight and yeah the places I gained it first are the last places it wants to come off.5

It's a public forum though. And while we are here to help people achieve their goals, we also want to set realistic expectations for not only those in this thread, but anyone reading these threads. It's why many have us have already posted additional information to help you and others. At some point, your stimulant will stop being effective, just like all suppressants do (it's how all drugs work). That is why it's good to start working on getting calorie dense foods. By doing so, when it stops being ineffective, you will still have a plan to continue to reach your goals and not just fall back to where you started. I will note, anecdotally, of the handful of members who are taking apetamin, about half of them have created follow up threads talking about stomach bloating/gaining a ton of fat in their stomachs (not what they wanted). And just because we aren't telling you exactly what you want to hear, doesn't mean we are being unsupportive. Because have you ever thought, that we have seen these threads day in and out, and seen both the common themes and failures? Trust me, I don't want anyone to fail. But I do try to set realistic expectations for members.
Also, it may also benefit you, if you want to minimize fat gains, to follow a structured lifting program. Also, be careful with the wraps. In a lot of cases, since it does the supporting, your muscles will atrophy and become weak. And having weak back muscles can lead to a lot of issues like sciatica pains (been there).10 -
Problem is that many posters have no intention of being supportive or constructive, but prefer to be snarky, flippant and know-it-all. I see it every day on MFP threads, and it is disheartening. I don't see the moderators calling people on their negative destructive comments nearly as often as I see posts such as the one above.11

That is the internet and it's not just MFP. There will always be those who help and those who want to hurt (<-- for those, if its a violation, we try to address it). There are also posters who are willing to listen and those who only want reinforcement for their decisions. In any case, people all respond to different tactics.3 -
ummm it is a public forum, so anyone can come in here and read it and think that apeatamin and waist trainers are a great way to gain weight and then slim off your waist....which is 100% the wrong way to do it...so yea, I am going to correct the record for lurkers and such...12 -

I am sorry if you can't handle the truth ...but the truth is you don't need waist trainers and you don't need apeatamin ....that is not being snarky, flippant, etc, that is being honest and truthful.14 -

Exactly a public forum. In which you don't have to read anything you don't like. It's not like they are telling people to use the products, they are just sharing what is working for them.4 -
God forbid that people express opinions stating that something may have a placebo effect or do nothing at all (like a waist trainer). Especially if said opinions are given at a time before the product is received and can still be returned.
So many quick fixes I've tried over the years that I wish people had told me were crap first.
And if you're looking to limit fat gained "going to your stomach", you're out of luck. You can't spot lose fat and you can't spot gain it.
But you can help control the shape you have by eating a small surplus and starting a progressive resistance program. It seems from some of your comments that you'd like to target your legs; maybe look into Strong Curves. It heavily focuses on legs and booty.9 -

No actually that's just your opinion... You cannot speak for everyone. Some people may need what you don't ; however it doesn't make you right. Seems like you are contradicting yourself. Why are you so upset that everything you say ppl don't agree with. It's life... Do things your way and let others do it theirs. No need for this to be a back n forth thing. Move on from this already.... Sheesh3 -

The information is not wrong if it works for them. As they are not saying the product is the cause they are just using it.4 -

If the expectation that a waister trainer would reduce or modify fat tissue and prevent growth, then it would be wrong. If they like to wear it, thats a different story. Like i mentioned before, i would be a little worried about not utilizing your back muscles making them weak. That and having some impact on your internals.7 -

I responded to this but it seems to have disappeared.
@ndj1979 Did I say that I need waist trainers or Apetamin?
I rest my case.
And it has nothing to do with being able to handle the truth.

Arguing if something works or doesn't for someone without any proof that is does or does not is childish and gives nothing to this post.
Replying by add nothing to this discussion no matter if you disagree is against the rules (aka trolling) as no one will win. So as a moderator please start enforcing the rules!

I would recommend you read and understand the rules before making such assertions. Additionally, you can feel free to explain to us "unknowledgeable" members how a piece of clothing will affect adipose fatty tissue.
If you think science is childish, that is your opinion but if someone has questions or needs an understanding how something works, then we can inform them. Maybe you shoulf also considering read the first several pages and look at the information i have provided. Not only in terms of increasing intake but decreasing the development of new fatty tissue.
You want to promise false hopes and think its supportive, thats fine as you have the right to that opinion. But that is giving someone false hope. Clothing will not prevent fat growth and supercede genetic diposition. It is not only wrong but provides false hopes to members who are trying to achieve goals.13
