Right now, I wear a medium - 8-10 - both top and bottom. For the top, I'm probably around the lower end, but I'm definitely at the upper end of the range for the bottom. Depending on the cut of the skirt/pants, I still wear a large (12-14), but I'm on the lower end of that range.0 -

I don't belong on this board since I'm not in maintenance but I am 183-ish today at 5'4" and my size 16 pants are getting really huge. But to be in 14, I need to be 180 or under (at least before I had 3 kids that was the case). I've never been super-lean but even when I was 143 or so, I was in a size 10 pants. My waist then was 29 or 30". When I was 11 (I've been tracking this for 30 years now!) I was only 114 lbs at 5'3" and still my waist was 26. So I don't think I'd ever be a tiny size because of my huge waist!0

46 - 38.5 - 51.5, wearing a 42C Bra
Bottoms: Size 20 in women's
Tops: Size 18 in women's
I lost weight several years ago and was a size 12 at 200 pounds.
Updating from my January post.
Still 5'10" but 219 lbs.
Using the standard size charts, I am a US 14 women's or a 16 misses. I've lost a total of 13 inches in the last 41 pounds. I bought a misses 16 skirt and a misses XL top yesterday that fits perfectly. I wear a Torrid women's size 12, but they tend to run a bit bigger - I doubt I would wear a Lane Bryant 12. I wear a 38C bra now.
5'10", 196 lbs, wearing L tops/dresses and misses' 12-14. My measurements place me smaller than Lane Bryant or Torrid (womens) sizes now, so I am in an inbetween place. I still prefer Torrid's designs and fit, but their size 10/00 is only on select items.4 -

UK size 10, I think that's a US 6?0 -
I'm updating my size measurement for pants. I just got some khakis and it appears as though my true size is 28X30 slim fit. I feel as though I'm practically all alone with regards to men who have a similar size. I would think that proportionately this waist size this is barely about equivalent to a size 0 for a female.1

Well, I don't what to think about this thread! I'm 5'5", 148# and I wear a 12 in pants and a 12-14 in tops. How come I'm so much larger than many of the folks that are similar height/weight? I'm feeling a little bit discouraged, to be honest...0

Maybe you shop at places that don't vanity size or you prefer a looser fit. You'd be surprised how tight some people wear their pants! You could have a wider bone structure or not have as much muscle mass.1 -

Do you wear European clothing? I'm not going to call it "vanity sizing" on clothes if they conform roughly to ASTM standardization. But if you buy things that are sized for Europe, or Japan (hey, i'm a XL - 2XL in Japanese clothes, and a M in American) they'd have bigger numbers. Or as @DancingMoosie said, perhaps you like loose clothes, or broad shoulders/hips.
I won't be going below my current size, even if I lost a substantial amount of weight, because my width is now being determined by the size of my skeleton rather than the amount of fat I've got.

5'5" 178lb was a large, had to hide all my medium slim fits as was very disheartening! I was m-sf when I was 140! So thats my aim!0
