Specifically speaking about animal species. Ants eat pretty much anything....kinda like flys, roaches, maggots....so on and so forth.
And pigs.
And, of course, humans.
You are so right....humans will eat anything...although to avoid any confusion I would say most humans...as to not offend others.
I'm certainly not offended by the fact I'm an omnivore and an opportunist.4 -
I don't know what plant foods you eat daily; but here are some of the veggies with the highest amounts of protein (scroll past the soy to #3). Oatmeal also has a lot of protein; and it is gluten-free naturally ( for the very sensitive; buy from a gluten free facility to ensure no cross contamination). http://www.bodybuilding.com/content/8-high-protein-vegetables.html1

Its pointless all around at this point. They need to get online and research for themselves. Nobody can tell these people anything.
But you should at least try!
I have been and at this point its hilarious. You know when you talk about healthy food choices to someone who's health is failing because they are obese.....they get very defensive and will defend their food choices and lifestyle to the point of exhaustion. That's how this forum has been.
Wait...wut? You made some crazy claims about dairy, people said wait...no, that's not right and here's why. Now that compares them to obese individuals with failing health and, from other posts, shills for big milk...

I am guessing it most definitely is a cultural difference. My friends, sister, female clients alwsys say. "Hey Girl, whats up..." Hey Girl Hey. Out of curiosity, are you in university?
I'd rather not be referred to as a girl either. I'd bet there are many women around who would prefer to be called women (if their gender is to be specified). I don't know any adult females who dislike being referred to as "woman/women". Perhaps that's a better default, than "girl". Just a thought.
Also, fwiw, I gave up "debating" with you because you don't follow Grice's maxims for communication (google it). It's a pragmatics thing. Perhaps that's why you find that so many here misunderstand you.13 -

And pretty much any animal will drink milk if given the opportunity in some way, by humans or not.0 -

They'll opportunistically drink it, of course, and we figured out how to make it easy and available for us to do it (hands are kind of helpful too).
Just one of the many advantages of being at the top of the food chain.
My cat will not leave me alone when I am drinking milk (or ice cream) she loves it and will lick the bottom of my cup or bowl.
My cat goes almost postal to get her paws on dairy!
Milk
cream
sour cream
cottage cheese
ice cream
and her all time favourite is CHEESE, even cheesecake which i have to share with her every time i make it :grumble: She has learnt to recognise the sound of the wrapper of the cheese block and the thud it makes putting it down on the kitchen bench, and will come running from wherever she is to get 3-4-5 cubes. She definitely has a dairy "issue".
I have a cat like that. He doesn't care what flavor it is, either. Key Lime? Lemon? Two tart tastes that you'd think would drive him away? Pffft - he loves those. My wife let him sniff, to maybe get him to stop pestering her. Nope - lick, lick, lick.0 -

I believe your information is extremely false. Would like to see a credible source to back up your claim. Otherwise, I suggest you stop giving people false information.1 -
For the record, calling a woman a "girl" is not the equivalent of calling a man a "guy". It's the equivalent of calling him a "boy". Think about that.
Homo Sapiens evolved to adapt to their environment and take advantage of any food sources available. Domesticating animals (cattle and sheep for instance) allowed us to use animal products on a long-term basis while still retaining the provider of those products during times when food was more scarce. Being able to survive in diverse climates and conditions while other species were dying off as their food sources were eliminated was and continues to be key to our success as a species.10 -
I am tired of vegan myths giving vegans a bad name. It is totally natural to drink milk. Why? Because it is a food. It has calories and provides nutrients. I agree that milk has been capitalized for money and the end product may not be as healthy as the organic product. I don't drink milk.
I don't agree that people should tell people not to eat or drink something. I am not a vegan, although I support the lifestyle choice, but for personal reasons I don't do it. For what I do, I say mostly plant based. I than recommend plant based options if people ask about it because I believe it to be a healthy choice. I do not tell people they are wrong for not listening or choosing that option for themselves. I also don't bring it up if no one asks.
I would hope the goal for vegans would be a healthy promotion of the lifestyle when asked. Not, "you're wrong if you don't believe what I believe." When people act this way, it only damages the view of veganism.12 -
Well, this thread certainly got interesting. Diet shaming, petty bickering, cats, conspiracy theories, insults, more insults, BroScience, WooScience, and feminism LOL

Thanks for posting this link. I don't know much about plant based protein and you gave some good info--with great photos.0 -

When feminism hit....I was out. Its best I leave politics out of my dieting experience. This is actually my first experience with a thread. Usually a comment or two. I stick with the games and challenges. My take away from
*MY* experience here is...maybe just don't respond after advice given, and most importantly include *in my opinion, *I think, *my experience ect. before and after any statement made...But that's just *my opinion*. Oh and I apologize to any dairy consumers I may have offended by my opinions.
Best wishes to everyone reading this, may you reach your goals and even exceed your own expectations for yourself.2 -

I think she thinks that a grown woman not wanting to be called a girl is feminism. Not really sure how she came to that conclusion though.
