Someone I know well but haven't seen in the last 6 months sat down next to me today and clearly didn't recognize me. I chose not to say anything and just enjoy the moment. I'm looking forward to talking to her about it the next time I see her.20

A couple of nsvs. My mother complimented me on the smallest shirt in my wardrobe that I was wearing, she never compliments me. My belt fits perfectly on the last notch with some room to spare, I bought it this year to fit on the first notch. I have a feeling I am a clothing size smaller, last week I fitted perfectly into my sisters size ten tops (us size 8), this week some of them are much too large. My jeans are now also quite baggy (size 8 Australian). Maybe I will have a wardrobe makeover soon!19

A couple:
I just moved down to a S/M/10 US at Old Navy and had to buy some new clothes for work. When I started, I was a 3X/18.
I can wear the belt my mother gave me at Christmas that did not even touch ends.
I went to get my new ID and the kid behind the desk informed me I should probably take a new pic, since it didn't look like me anymore.
I can now hold Crow Pose for 2 minutes. I couldn't touch my toes when I started.31 -
My job had their annual catered barbecue today, and I totally walked away from everything and ate what I packed for lunch. I even walked past the chocolate chip cookies, which are a particular weakness of mine.25

I fit into a size 16 dress for the first time in 17 years!36

Had to look up crow pose. Last time I did that was in grade 7. Many, many years ago. Good for you!!!!!!!!!1

SunflowerSandra wrote: »I am in the process of donating around 75 % of my clothes and starting to rebuild my entire wardrobe. I'm actually making a plan for a capsule wardrobe and a budget to go with it (finishing up uni/needing more business casual clothes/wardrobe as a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl makes it challenging). Although it's a big investment I have no doubt that the clothes will continue to fit me for years.
I'm simultaneously looking forward to and dreading this! I have a way to go yet, but I think I might have to enlist help with a new wardrobe as I have no idea what my "style" might be... for the past couple of decades I've just worn whatever I can find that fits relatively well and covers as much flab as possible. (I have a box of smaller clothes still to get to, but almost nothing for my goal weight other than a couple of dresses I've kept!)
I've seen advice around the web for how to choose a capsule wardrobe of good, timeless pieces, but I think it'll be deciding what shapes suit best that might be the hardest part!
Yes it's been interesting. I use a pinterest board to pin every outfit that I love, both casual and business casual style. I'm trying to identify the common parts of all the pins and use that for my capsule. I have created a colour palette (this blog is really helpful: http://into-mind.com/blog/2014/08/25/how-to-choose-a-versatile-colour-palette-for-your-wardrobe-incl-36-sample-colour-palettes) and it really helps in stores. When it comes to shape, I love shows like what not to wear etc. it has a great variety of body types, making it much more interesting than fashion magazines etc.
I have also tried to translate what I usually like into more appropriate wear. I love skinny jeans & sneakers so replacing those with fitted chino's and low heeled ankle boots makes the most sense. I've got a few days off next week so I think I'm doing some serious shopping. I have ordered a bunch of stuff online but I sent almost everything back, sizing is weird. I also made an excel sheet with a list of everything I think I need for my capsule to keep track of my pieces and my budget. Combining the list with the colour palette makes shopping much more purposeful, and I'm sure I won't end up with a bunch of stuff that I like and fits well but doesn't match at all...
Alright, back on topic: I ran C210k week 3 day 2 this morning and it felt much easier than day 1, although it's the same run/walk combo. I think I might need 2 days off to recover instead of running every other day.19 -
1) I haven't had sugar in more than three weeks and a colleague brought me an iced tea on her way in from an appointment: I took a sip and it was sweet tea! My heavens it was CRAZY sweet. I'm finding it so interesting how my taste buds are so much more receptive.
2) Recognizing true hunger for the first time in my adult life--I had been eating small meals and snacks and believe that caused me to become dependent on those for energy boosts. Since eating this way I actually feel free from the power of food and am feeling wonderful! Also, am recognizing when I feel full and stopping eating when that feeling hits. I can honestly say that this is the first time in my life that I've achieved that, and my body is thanking me for it.
3) Slowly getting back into the clothes in my closet that haven't fit in a while. I love shopping in my closet!!
Cheers to everyone who is taking their life back! We can do it!

I just noticed last night why I keep feeling the need to touch my arm... it's because it feels so different. I can feel and see the muscle definition starting to show up and sometimes I'm like mesmerized by it. I just keep looking at it!19

Danie - that's wonderful!! Great work!0

Very humid and warm this morning (for where I live), which I hate, and dark when the alarm went off, but I still got up, put on my and the dog's reflective gear, and walked 2.34 miles before work.18

I was talking to my BFF last night and we were talking about our upcoming HS reunion, which led us to talking about prom and other past memories. And I made a comment that I now can't fit into any of my prom dresses b/c they're too big and it was a pretty big shock for me. He was very impressed too, lol.18

I'm gonna brag about something super tiny....
Today I went to BK because I had like a three hour wait at the DMV and was tryna burn some time, and super hungry. Got a 3 piece french toast stick... they gave me 5. Looked at the other two, left them on my tray, and ultimately threw them away.
Not today, delicious pieces of fried bread!35 -
Today was my first day at Uni, and the buffet style cafeteria.
So. Many. Vegtables. I ate so many vegtables omg.
Those habits are good ones and I hope I can keep them up.41 -

Hubby went into our walk-in wardrobe last night, which I have mostly taken up with my new purchases (darn clothing sales lol) I said sorry for taking up so much space and he said "thats ok you got heaps of nice clothes now because your skinny and prettier now" nawww love you too sweetie21

I'm only about half way to goal weight but I already love high heels so much more... I can wear them all day and they don't hurt my feet like they used to. I literally can't wait to hit goal weight because I've decided I'm going to reward myself with new heels and I'm so excited!
You give me soo much hope!!! I thought they will always hurt no matter how much I lost

I was laying in bed last Saturday morning just relaxing and I realized.... Hey that space between my ribs and breast bone?? It's concave now! Wow, that was so cool I just kept feeling it!10

Went to the thrift shop today and picked up two pairs of 36-size jeans. One fits great, the other one in a few weeks should be ok. Use to fit snug into 40's ;-)22

2. I just propped it up against a door at the end of a hallway without thinking much about it. This now means that I am looking at myself as I walk down a long hallway. Looking at myself ... for a long time ... will moving ...
Guess what? I look thin! (Well, in clothes.)
Good thing I live by myself, I guess because sometimes I am so amazed by the difference I just kind of check myself out!
So true! I remember reading in another thread how vain we become loosing weight. Being guilty of that one for sure! ;-)5 -
I can't use the shirt I was using as an exercise shirt as an exercise shirt anymore as the fabric keeps getting in the way as I am doing my cardio. I had to change into my swimsuit so my hands and arms would be free.20

This thread was fun to read
My nsv was I successfully completed 5x5 80lbs on overhead press. When I first started stronglifts I couldn't lift the bar for ohp. Also my next bench press I will be at 100lbs 5x5. 100lbs was my first goal when starting the program
And a little picture for fun. Starting to see a little definition in my arms. I still have 80-100 lbs to lose, but these little nsv's are what push me.

Look at that bicep bump! Awesome!!1 -
I'm not sure if he had realised he is doing it, but my husband compliments me a lot more.
He actually stood by the door and just looked at me before saying I was distracting him by looking so beautiful!
Damn he's cute.38 -
Beginning to see a vein popping up on my right biceps. Very faint but I can see it with the correct light and definitely feel it! Still have ~40# or so to loose for my target but this is good sign!16

You can clearly see my 4 pack... The other two are hiding under some loose skin... Not bad for a mother of FOUR.
Attended a work conference and two seperate people wanted to know "where the rest of me was"... They were So used to seeing me pregnant or between babies with "baby weight". Lol smh
I constantly get that I look younger or aging in reverse... With me almost middle aged, I'll take that one too! Lol23 -

Got my first "have you lost weight" today!26

Got up early (for a Saturday) and walked in the City Stadium 5K Run for Veterans on a rainy race day. Such an inspiring event, I'm going to do this one next year... Even though my hair sticking out of my hat was drenched, I still went to the farmers market after to buy my fresh, local produce.14
