There are a lot of sparkling waters on the market now and I find them extremely satisfying for my soda fix. Pepsi is my poison and I could drink it all. day. long. When I need the bubbles, I turn to sparkling water and it definitely gives you that fix.9 -
270 days of logging! Being able to wear a dress out Saturday night that didn't fit me this past Christmas when I received it as a gift!28

I had a very very stressful week with a child getting injured, emergency surgery due to injury and having to cancel a a vacation we had been looking forward to for a year.....I didn't log for a few days while in hospital but I made the best choices I could and stayed within calories....I didn't stress eat!!!!! I handled it without food for comfort....huge nsv for me!!!

I had no clean gym pants to wear, except the one that has a small hole in the *kitten*. (Why haven't I tossed those yet?)
I begrudgingly opened the lid to my "I fit into these once" tote and pulled out my grey workout leggings. I just KNEW they weren't going to fit. I pulled them on and was sure glad I took them out so they didn't go to waste because they fit PERFECTLY. And I don't mean I just got them on. I mean I better get use out of them while they last because they looked great.
Also I no longer get body checked by strangers or friends/family, so that's been a relief.32 -

I am under my driver's license weight by 15lbs. I don't go to renew until next year but I plan on keeping that true so I can update that info.22

When I first started walking 16 days ago, I was out of breath and struggling to do 10 minutes (1/2 a mile) at 3.0 mph. Today, I used 3.0 mph as my "warm-up / cool-down" speed, and walked 60 minutes at 3.5 mph, and while I was sweating up a storm, I wasn't out of breath.
Also, twelve days ago, I walked a 5k practice in 65:54 minutes. Today, I completed a 5k practice in 53:11 minutes!37 -
Tried out my knee brace for the first ever time today, and running was a breeze! Definitely a good purchase.16

thanks karen in lux and gold this time..ya i suprised myself lol it kinda hit me after like wait I didn't eat.
it just made.me happy as if it was a diet I'd have fallen off but it's not they are true changes.4 -
This is probably going to sound really stupid--Lol! But I claim it as my NSV for today.
I had a haircut appointment this morning. I normally ask the hairdresser to turn me slightly so I'm not looking in the mirror while she's cutting my hair--because I don't know who the fat person in the mirror looking back at me is.
Today she had me facing the mirror, and I caught myself looking to the side, to the top, anywhere but at my reflection. Then I thought, wait--maybe it's ok now. So I dragged my eyes back to me--and there I was! The "me" in the mirror finally matches the "me" in my mind. It made me smile big. :-D
Also mini NSV: it helped that the hairdresser kept raving about how good I looked. I've lost 82, but about 25 since I saw her last.63 -

I've had a hard week, two birthdays and two days away from home at conferences where the food choices were limited and not good. I knew it was asking a bit much to expect to have lost, and I haven't, but I am still going and I haven't given up. That a big NSV for me, I'm inclined to give in at the first obstacle, but I'm still in there and back on track. Go me!34

Not fitting into a pair of jeans that I bought two weeks before in efforts to update my wardrobe. Ah well then.11

I've been stress eating lately in the evenings when I'm alone (new experience with hubby's new job). Even though the scale wasn't kind this morning, I'm logging it, and everything I eat. In the past, I would just stop logging. So that is my nsv.34

RAN 2 miles last night on the treadmill. Next stop: running 2 miles on my regular walking route. Yep. its gonna happen. Somebody pinch me.29

31" waist, what?!?!
The first time I took measurements on this journey, I'd already lost 50lbs but my waist was still 42". I've dropped over 10" since then!43 -

That is frigging awesome! I've lost 21 lbs and my waist is still at 42" - same as when I joined MFP. You give me hope Now all I need is more patience10 -
Got up this morning at 6 AM to run before work, even though I SO wanted to stay in bed for an extra 45 min.
Once I was up I felt great, and finally like this routine of getting up early to exercise-instead of staying up late watching tv and snacking- is something i could do for good. Adjusting my sleep schedule has been hard but it's making a big difference in my eating and exercise behavior.28 -
I ran 2 miles..without stopping in 27 minutes!!! I never would have been able to do that 36 pounds ago!!27

1) My clothes don't take up as much room in my drawers anymore. Space for more clothes
2) My bed feels bigger - I have more space now I'm thinner. Have to hunt to find my husband now as we have a king-size duvet and we get lost under it
3) I am no longer embarrassed to peg my clothes out on the line - no more "marquee" size clothes (I am gradually approaching my daughter's size now), plus I can fit more clothes on the line in one go
4) I have to check the clothing sizes to make sure that I don't mix up my clothes with my daughter's.
5) I knocked 30 minutes off my usual bike ride yesterday. Am going to see if I can keep to that time for a few days, then try to reduce it further but that depends on the traffic.
Personally I am most impressed by NSV No 4, I never thought that I'd be able to go that fast. And there are a few steep hills on my ride.26
