What's Your Most Recent NSV

The little pimple things/rash like things are gone from the backs of my arms. Is that because I eat better? Or because I exercise more? Don't know. I just know that I don't mind wearing short sleeves and tank tops now19

I was walking/jogging downtown today when a very "friendly" young man yelled some comments from his car about how I would need to "move a lot faster than that if you dont want to be a fat *kitten* anymore".
2 months ago a comment like that would have brought tears, a quick departure home, and caused me to avoid going out in public to exercise again.
Today.. I smiled at him, and continued on my way. Theast couple months Ive started to grow way more comfortable in my own skin - way more vuable to me than numbers on the scale.
This really is an awesome NSV because it comes from an attitude change within you! Feeling good in your own skin is truly amazing! Congratulations!
It is awesome, and I hope someone punches that "friendly" guy in the face.12 -
I'm starting to hear more and more often that I'm "looking great" or "melting away" or something like that, and people always want to know what I'm doing. When I tell them it is so simple that it's almost unbelievable they get so excited....until I tell them it's moving more and eating less, and I keep track of it to make sure that I really am eating less and moving more, then they are like NAH! It makes me sad for them, because it really is so simple. I didn't say easy, it's not always easy, if it was everyone would do it!23

Same. I have one friend who took my advice, used the app, and loved it, but I've had several that just insist tracking calories is too onerous .

Ran five miles this morning outdoors in an hour. It was so exhilarating! I may become a runner yet. I absolutely hate the treadmill, but Mother Nature's gym is awesome. :-)21

not really NSV ...i have lost more than my 19yo daughter weighs (she is in the middle of her healthy BMI range!)25

Finally have a BMI of NOT 'Obese' - Barely 'not-obese' at 29...but at least it's not 30+ anymore.45

I haven't been working out regularly anymore, which has set my progress back even though my eating is reasonable. Set my alarm to work out this morning ... but ignored it. But when I did get up, I squeezed 90% of my 45-60min workout into 30 minutes. I was really huffing at the end, but I got something done. I don't want to lose the strength I've gained these last few months.26

Finally, finally, FINALLY got my deadlift form straightened out. Now to get pounds on the bar.

Love reading these. Good job, everyone!
A couple for me:
I am comfortable in my own body. I still have more fat to lose, but I do not feel self-conscious or embarrassed all the time now. I think I was born self-conscious and embarrassed, so the feelings of confidence and peace are amazing for me.
My once-very-thin-friend gave me a pair of her jeans that no longer fit her but fit me just fine! Woot!
Got the go ahead to run in PT, so I just completed Wk 1 Day 1 of a 5K program, and it was really easy. I was flying! My last run of 5 miles was in May, when I weighed 152 lbs. I'm now in the 130's -- wonder how much faster I'll be?

I participated in a Triathlon!38

I have seen lots of people posting about how expensive it gets to buy new jeans. Someone at work turned me on to getting cheaper jeans. WALMART! You have to go to the juniors section, so don't pay attention to having to size up, but they have cute plain jeans that are under $10. (8.96 at my local store) Perfect for those who are needing new sizes often, because let's be honest it is WalMart. The quality isn't too great and after a month they will start to fade pretty bad.treehugnmama wrote: »
I only buy 1 pair of jeans at a time now. Recently the brand I like was super on sale (I think I got them for like $10-$12 each) so I got 1 pair of like 3 different sizes so that as they get too big I already have the size I need.
I have been looking at thrift stores around here but I can never find anything in my size9 -
I got out my "skinny jeans" and now they are my baggy "slouching around the house" jeans!18

@campfirequeen1 That is awesome! Great job trying something you haven't done in awhile. The 45 day challenge is through an NFL team where I live. I am loving it. Today's challenge is 5, 100 meter sprints. I haven't done any serious running since I was in High School (20+) years ago.4

Stripped down to shorts for the Physio today and she said 'WOW - you have amazing muscle definition' - this has happened in the last 6 months.24

For the last week I have been so upset that my scale was not moving at all, and my body was stuck in low level ketosis. I have been doing everything right, no cheating, meeting all my food goals, tons of water, Camp Gladiator 4 times a week. UGH!!!
So on Saturday, I went to my weekly weigh in head held low, kinda frustrated at myself. Up onto the scale and down only .2 pound. I forgot my phone at home so I could not share my food log to see what was going on, and she kinda acted like I was making up the fact that I was on point all week. Anyways, she gave me my B12 and off to talk to my nutritionist. She gave me hope! I have been doing everything just fine. I only lost .2 pounds of body fat, but I gained 1 pound of lean muscle, and my body water weight was up as well.( Which apparently is good for your metabolism.) I have also lost 4.5 inches across my waist, hips, and thighs in the last 4 weeks. So take that scale, You Suck and I Win! ! ! !
Another NSV is my daughter, 13, goes with me every week since it is on the way to her volleyball game. This week before seeing the nutritionist tells me "Mom, I don't like that lady, she is rude and you have been doing a great job!"38 -
Just got my first daily calorie target re-calculation, never been so excited to eat less lol.21

Bought a new coat, and had to return it because it was too big. I just couldn't get my mind around the fact I actually, really do wear a size medium now, and my new jacket fits perfectly. Two years ago my XXL was snug.43

That now I get sad or frustrated when I am not able to get to my exercise for the day (gym or such). That is new.19

This is a huge NSV for me.. So I broke my wrist a few days ago and haven't been able to workout cause I'm to focused on the things I can't do rather than the things I can do.
So today I went to the gym and I killed my normal routine (minus the pull ups) and I even did hanging leg raises wile hanging from the pull up bar using only one arm.
About a year ago I would have lied down and stopped working out all together wile healing, probably never go back into the gym after the arm healed so the fact that I got up at 4 am this morning, dragged my *kitten* to spinning class and then lifted a bit is a huge victory in it self.

I have successful spent two weeks without weighing/logging my food and I'm still losing at a steady rate. I'm relying on what I've learned about portion sizes during the past six months of daily logging. Will return to logging if/when needed. Learning how much I should be eating is a definite NSV for me!26

I bought a new suit a month ago for my nieces wedding. Had to wear it again yesterday and needed to put on a belt to hold up the trousers.21

Holy..... You're freaking amazing!9 -
Bought a pair of size 10 jeans on Friday, which I figured was just a fluke until I bought a pair of size 10 dress slacks yesterday. W00t! From a size 18 to a size 10 in 14 months! Also, I have never been a size 10 in my adult life, so that's just the cherry on top of the already awesome NSV.31

Yesterday for the 45 day challenge I am doing we had to run 5-100 meter dashes. My BF agreed to do them together. We walked to the local school by us, and figured out what a 100 meters was. The great part, my BF was worried I wouldn't be able to do them. I kept telling him "I can, and I will do them. I might die, but I'm going to do it." Sure enough I did them. Slow as all *kitten*, but I did them. I was only winded for a few moments after each one, and was fine when I finished. I am calling this a kick butt NSV. Not only did I do it, but I recovered so much faster than I imagined.30
