I ran into someone that I have not seen in about 18 months. She said oh you have kept the weight off, you look great. So even though I did gain back some weight I have not gained back all of the weight! This is a good motivation to push through the tough times.19

Iat my largest I was wearing my nice leather belt on the largest hole (when I wore one) Just realized that I am often wearing it with jeans and 5 holes in. That's a fair bit of inches off the waist!18

I'm sewing a dress as part of my Halloween costume. I cut out the size for my most recent measurements (taken last week) but when I tried the dress on last night before finishing it it was too big. Either my measurements have changed in just a week or the pattern is off, either way I need to recut it in the next smaller size13

Lost my "nananator" profile so I am starting over....lost my 208 day streak and ALL my exercise data BUT i like the fresh start feel of this and I bought a knit skirt and knee high boots annnnnnnnd BAM! I love em. Never in my life have I worn them but i like it!15

This might sound weird, but I can now wear my undergarments under dress pants without feeling like a stuffed sausage! Before, it felt like the fabric was pinching and making everything tighter. Now, I actually have ROOM in my pants, (which are two sizes less than my starting pant size!)10

My NSVs are tied to my SV.
1) Lost 4.6 lbs this week and that puts me in the "normal range" BMI for the first time in 27 years!!
2) I ran 4 miles yesterday with a 12.5min/mile average. Not bad for a beginner.
Can't wait to run in my first local 5k on Saturday.
I've now lost 92.4 pounds this year and
3) Yesterday I confidently bought two pair of tights that fit well, which I could never do when I was in my "plus" weight. Can't wait to find a cute skirt or dress to wear them with.28 -
I have seen a few people lately that I haven't seen since last year and they both stared at me saying wow...you look so good! I am not one that "needs" validation....but man did it feel good!!!!14

I finally nailed both my elbow grip ayesha and my electric switches/leg switches today. Both moves were giving me issues b/c I was afraid of falling. But today for some reason, I was able to push through the fear and I kept practicing the moves until I nailed them. I've been trying to get these moves for about 2-3 weeks now.

Leg switches (my studio calls them electric switches):

I took a nap today after a week of not sleeping well (one year old has had a messed up sleep schedule and insists that I be up with him ), and I realized that naps are so rare now. I used to nap EVERY day because I HAD to just to get by. Now I have a ton of energy to get by without them. I can handle so much more in life and can't wait to see how I feel after 50 more lbs!19

Reaching the 150s! Previously 252 last year36

Today was my second session with my PT, and she started me deadlifting today. I maxed out at 135 pounds. She seemed super pleased by it. I am too. Deadlifts are much easier than squats to me. I'm squatting 85 pounds, but I'm still super afraid of falling backwards, so my squat form still needs some work. But yay for progress.17

Instead of eating pizza and cookies at a party today, I made my own low carb pizza and brought that. Left feeling proud of myself and not deprived.19

I've been rattling around inside my UK Size 12's for a while now, becoming more and more frustrated with having to constantly pull them up. Last time I tried them on, a size 10 was a little too snug and the muffin top was just horrible.
Today, after my bike ride I had to change my trousers as the local water board very kindly flooded the road I cycle along so I ended up cycling through a huge dirty flood (will have to expend more energy cleaning the bike as well, grrrr).
Found a pair of size 12's and they fell off me. Rummaged around and found the size 10's (US size 6) that I'd put aside for "later" and . . . . .
. . . . . drum roll . . . . .
. . . . . louder, faster drum roll . . . . .
. . . . . . THEY FIT! Without a muffin top! I am so excited! I am the SAME SIZE as my teenage daughter.
I started this at a UK 28/30 (US size?? Bigger than a 22/24??).49 -

You're going to love it! And look for local running groups where you live - check MeetUp, specialized running stores - you'll make some new friends fast! Our clubs have pop-up 5ks, weeknight free-runs, happy hour runs that end at restaurants. . . .
Any suggestions on what to wear when the forecast is for high 40s-low 50s?1 -

I'm still pretty new to this myself, but I've found my body warms up but my ears and hands do not. So an ear covering headband or hat and gloves - I've seen them at sporting goods stores and in TJ Maxx/Marshalls in moisture-wicking fabric. Otherwise just longer pants and long-sleeved shirts. I've been wearing the race shirt I got from the 5K I ran. I think I'm going to have to treadmill if it gets much colder.

My rule of thumb is dress how you would when the weather is 10 degrees warmer but you are not running. Like for 40-50's I'd run with a long sleeve shirt and longish tights. If I wasn't running, I'd wear that for 50-60 degree weather. For 30-40 degree runs, I's add a light jacket or pullover, like I would when out at 50-60 degrees but not running. Make sense?11 -
Losing body fat is like a refresher course in anatomy.... While lying down I discovered hip bones .... Well looky there!20

My kids elbows and knees are suddenly feeling a lot more painful when hes climbing all over me. Not sure if that's a victory.....17

I put on a pair of jeans I previously could not get over my hips, and even wore them all day...16

Lol! Way to go! The other day I was lying there counting my ribs!10 -
Both the nurse and Dr were excited about my loss and had great things to say!! That felt pretty good. One of my goals has been to make my family doctor proud! I have seen her since I was a little girl so she has seen me through all of my ups & downs (literally and figuratively)19

My husband wanted to know what those weird lumps were when he grabbed my middle and I tensed. They're abs! I've never had defined ab muscles before, even if they are still mostly hidden beneath my remaining fat.20

It's been two hours and I have not gone downstairs to eat a brownie. I have taken a shower and brushed my teeth and now I'm going to do squats until the idea of going downstairs at all is painful. I am not going to eat that damned brownie.51

Great advice on here. For high 40s/low 50s, I wouldn't even need gloves or a hat, but it depends on how warm you get (and how used to the cold you are). I live in Vermont, so I've gone out running in as cold as 15 degrees last January! I wore a long sleeve shirt, a fleece, sweat pants, a scarf, hat and mittens (they warm up your hands better). And I was fine! I went running last night when it was in the 30s and I wore leggings, long sleeve shirt, hat, and gloves. My arms got a bit cold toward the end, but I wouldn't have wanted to wear anything more.
All this to say, remember what you wear when you run and what the temp is. You will find out what works for you People around here like saying that there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes.14 -
My NSV this morning I had to tighten my belt by 1 notch today....first piece of clothing to feel different due to weight loss!17

NSV: I only ate half of the pint of Ben and Jerry's last night, and not the whole thing.
Note: The store did not have The Tonight Dough. If they had, the whole pint would have been gone. I tried Peanut Butter Cookie Core instead. It is NOT as good.18
