At the office, we get to wear jeans for casual Friday so I figured I'd pull out a pair that were really tight and not very flattering. I put them on this morning and let's just say I am rocking them! They are comfortable and the band isn't digging into my skin. I'm still having a hard time looking in the mirror and seeing my body change but, once I put on clothes like this, it is very apparent that it is! Happy day!!24

My jeans are officially loose! Not just "not tight," but actually loose.21

Deadlift today: 150 pounds. Big gain for me. I m loving feeling stronger. Bring it life. bring it25

My 3x and 2x pajamas are way too big so I ordered a new pair from Amazon in a size L .... and they fit! I thought I'd order the L instead of XL just to keep me motivated .... now I'm motivated to get to a M!20

Bought scrubs today cause my old ones had gotten too big. My pants used to be XL and my tops XXL and today I bought Mediums!!! I haven't worn mediums in years. I feel really small.

This morning I put on my jeans to get dressed for work and took notice of how baggy they have become. I was able to pull them down past my hips to take them off without unbuttoning them :-)17

Please forgive as I parade my ignorance, but what's a "NSV"?-1

NSV=Non Scale Victory... It's nice to not always focus on the number on the scale, but rather the other kinds of success we see.0 -

I measured myself after a year and lost 7 inches between my bust, waist, and hips! Also realized that at this time last year I was shopping in the plus size section at a size 16 and 0x...now I'm in a size 12 and large. It's not the progress that I had hoped to make, but I'm learning to be happy with steadily moving forward.
The change of attitude is a big win for me as well- I struggle with BED and have always had a very "all or nothing" attitude towards food and fitness progress. Now I'd rather make some progress than none at all!23 -
I had McDonald's for lunch, did not overorder or binge, and made it fit easily in my calories for the day.16

Having the confidence to buy clothes a bit snug because you know you're still losing and you don't want them to be too big in a few weeks22
-
Having to make a choice - do I give away the yoga pants I took before pics in, or keep them for future progress photos, because wearing them are no longer an option. They are baggy everywhere and today they just wouldn't stay up at all.16

I kept a few things to look back on when I forget the progress I made and for my after photos.5 -
Being able to fit in a size 34 jeans I picked up by mistake while buying a size 36 some weeks ago. Still a bit tighter than I would to but getting there! Considering I had almost outgrowth size 40 last June before I started MFP I'm kinda pride of myself! ;-)21

Two things today!
Firstly... this is scale-related, but not mine... My hubby's been losing a few pounds as well... not really "into it" in a deliberate sort of way and not counting his calories, but just becoming more aware of calorie content and overeating behaviour as I've been learning it myself and sharing my knowledge with him, and sometimes choosing not to eat as much as he used to. He's "borderline high" in his BMI and would like to not see that message anymore in the health app we use!
Well, this morning when he weighed himself he finally dropped just below 200lbs - he was so pleased with himself! Later when we were grocery shopping I asked him if he wanted to get chocolate peanuts (he loves them), and he said he was just getting plain ones because "now I'm 'onederful' I want to stay that way!"
I'm proud of him too, and I guess the NSV for me is that my new habits are rubbing off on him and quietly guiding him to be healthier without me nagging him - because we all know how well that sort of thing goes over!
Secondly, we nearly always see the same teller in the bank each week and we've known her for almost ten years now - I've always been fat as far as she's concerned. Today she suddenly made a comment about my weight - I don't remember the exact words, but something about how I "keep getting smaller and smaller". She did ask whether it was deliberate and wanted to make sure I wasn't sick, but when I assured her I was fine she congratulated me and said I was looking great. That put a smile on my face for the rest of the afternoon!28 -
hee. well, my weight has been up three or four pounds this week - either from new hypertrophy work my body's not used to, or gummy bears that it certainly is. i haven't been sweating it, since i started this month with all kinds of pain around my hips and s.i. joint and i've been totally dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make that go away. it's been the night of the mad glute-activating scientist around here all month.
but here's the thing. i tape-measured myself this evening when i was changing, just for fun. my hips are the same size atm that they were when i was 10 pounds lighter two years ago, at my lowest weight. i carry silly little fat blobs on the 'top' of my hips so i did it twice, in two different spots - around the bum at the actual hip-flexor crease, and around the visual 'hips', i.e. at the asis point on the front of your pelvis.
same measurement in both places. 36 inches. so idk what that extra weight is or where it's hiding, but it sure isn't there.11 -
my real weight is now LOWER than my driver's license weight!35

my real weight is now LOWER than my driver's license weight!
Mine is even lower than the weight I fraudulently claimed to weigh the last time I had it renewed! Lol I wonder if the staff at the MVB look at your number, look at you, look back at the number and think "in your dreams, honey". Lol

I'm sitting in Starbucks literally right now in an easy chair. Normally, I have to shift my top and sit so my stomach roll is not as noticeable-- well today I look down as I always do and it's about gone! No futzing with my shirt, just sitting here comfortably sipping on my (logged) latte:)18

Ran into an ex yesterday and he told me how good I looked and let's just say he is not looking good these days ! It was great to hear it from him !22

Was complaining about doing something, hubs said all that gym going should make me more energetic and strong. I said, what about soreness? He said, yeah, if you went once a month, I could see that. But you go to the gym all the time.
So he does notice.19 -
so smirky these days, me.
today i was in the gym doing front squats and a young 20-something bro scooted over in between sets and asked me how i get that front rack position and stay so strong once i start to descend.
he just needs to stretch out his triceps and lats imo, but still. it's going to take me three weeks to get over myself.25 -
I had to google what "NSV" was lol.
Several co-workers have stated how fit and trim I look recently. I've never gotten complimented like that before.
I've always been fascinated by some of the advanced calisthenics folks, and decided to pursue that. It may not be much, but I can do 10 chin ups with proper form now.
It just feels....great19 -
I ran into a former coworker at a district meeting this week, talked to her for 5 minutes and ten we want down. During a break in the meeting later she came up to me and said she didn't recognize me because I was so tiny! Hardly tint, but down 60+ pounds. I sometimes forget that I look different to people who have not seen me for awhile!14
