Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble but don't count on that being the case. It depends very much on who's doing the procedure, how skilled they are and how hydrated you are.
I have huge veins on the insides of my elbows (the median antecubital veins) and not many people can get blood out of them (unless they use a butterfly needle, the really thin ones). I have some tiny ones on the outer edges of the big fat vein (I think that they are the cephalic veins) and blood can always be drawn from those. The problem is, not many clinicians want to use the little veins (despite my telling them to) as they are concerned about missing and having to stick me again, which of course they invariably do as they went for the big fat vein . . .

My 5 year old son is using adjectives such as "fresh", "healthy" and "colorful" to describe our meals...32

Kind of hard to believe that I'm wearing a *small* pair of workout pants (purchased today). And, actually, I'm wondering if I could have gotten an extra-small. This time last year I was XXL.
My brain hasn't quite caught up yet -- all I see is that I still need to lose some weight. I've been up and down the same 3ish lbs for a couple months now -- grrrrr -- with about 10 more lbs to go, so this was a nice, pleasant surprise today.15 -

That's awesome - let's hope it continues into his teens and beyond!

My swimming was (I think) kind of a train wreck . . .
To paraphrase a certain cowboy... "That's not swimming... it's drowning with style!"
Did you enjoy yourself, though? That's the important thing!
I keep thinking maybe I should try swimming again (haven't been for goodness knows how many years, definitely at least 12-15), but if I don't wear my glasses in the pool I can't see well enough where I'm going. Which means I swim with my head at an awkward angle and give myself neck-ache! Perhaps at some point I'll be able to afford prescription swimming goggles and then I'll start going again.10 -
Went shopping and picked up 2 pairs of pants, a couple of shirts and a snowsuit. All hiding in bins in my basement. They all fit again.
Flip side of the coin. Last time I bought jeans I couldn't find any in the store my size (50WX30L) and had to buy them online. Wanted to see if I could find my current size (46W) in the store, not planning on buying anything. Found 50WX30L for $15. Kinda ticked me off a bit. To compensate, I bought my next 2 pairs of jeans at 44W and 42W as I couldn't pass up the $15. Not to work towards fitting into them.11 -
I did the first day of a couch to 5k program!28

Flew earlier this week for work, and not only did I fit into the seat more comfortably, but I noticed my knees were at least a couple inches further from the seat in front of me because if my smaller caboose. Who knew losing weight gave you more leg room.28

It was pouring buckets today, so I tried out my rain jacket that was a little too tight last time I wore it. It fit over my sweatshirt!18

I'm a nurse and my "too-small" work trousers fell down. Thankfully I don't think any patients saw. As I work on a kids ward, that's not ok! Haha!25

My hairdresser who I see every week said "you are wasting away don't lose anymore" I know I need to lose a bit more but its nice when people notice15

I came home last night and cooked salmon and had it on a salad (even though it was very late) instead of going through the fast food line which I was very tempted to do! Small victory, but I'm just starting back and the drive through was a regular for me a week ago!31

Short overweight people like me know that shorts are horrible because our little chunky legs don't usually have any space in between our thigh area....so the shorts bunch together and ride up. I would always have to pull them down and my legs would get irritated/skin rubbing together. I don't wear regular shorts for that reason. But I put these on and did the whole workout without one single problem!
Haha, it's not just short overweight people. Us tall overweight people have the same problem
On a related note, on the weekend I wore shorts out in public for the first time since I don't even remember when. Probably my early teens. Did they still ride up when I walked from my chubby legs? Yes, but they looked good enough that I didn't really care.11 -

My boss says that to me everyday. I'm finding it really annoying as I'm still working at losing about 20 lbs more. I'm back to the weight I was when I started working for her, but I'm still not at the healthiest weight for my height/body shape.
My recent NSV: getting back to the gym/exercising this week, I've missed it and was getting crabby. Last week I had to have a treatment for a health issue, and I suffered every single side effect going. Too sick to do anything but sleep the week away which sounds great in theory but was actually mind numbing boring.

I ate more than 2 meals a day for the first time in around 6 years last week, I'm finally coming around to the fact that putting weight on is good36

Last year had the hardest time finding a dress for Christmas parties. Now, with 50 lbs gone, I had 6!! options after only looking at one store. Shopping was a lot more fun this time.25

My size 6 (USA) red dress that I wore today is now way too big - possibly two sizes too large. (I bought it a few years ago when I weighed 138lbs. I'm 122, down from 168lbs in July)24
