Flew earlier this week for work, and not only did I fit into the seat more comfortably, but I noticed my knees were at least a couple inches further from the seat in front of me because if my smaller caboose. Who knew losing weight gave you more leg room.28

It was pouring buckets today, so I tried out my rain jacket that was a little too tight last time I wore it. It fit over my sweatshirt!18

I'm a nurse and my "too-small" work trousers fell down. Thankfully I don't think any patients saw. As I work on a kids ward, that's not ok! Haha!25

My hairdresser who I see every week said "you are wasting away don't lose anymore" I know I need to lose a bit more but its nice when people notice15

I came home last night and cooked salmon and had it on a salad (even though it was very late) instead of going through the fast food line which I was very tempted to do! Small victory, but I'm just starting back and the drive through was a regular for me a week ago!31

LiftingLady5 wrote: »My most recent NSV was being able to do my turbofire workout in a pair of soft cotton shorts. Short overweight people like me know that shorts are horrible because our little chunky legs don't usually have any space in between our thigh area....so the shorts bunch together and ride up. I would always have to pull them down and my legs would get irritated/skin rubbing together. I don't wear regular shorts for that reason. But I put these on and did the whole workout without one single problem!
Haha, it's not just short overweight people. Us tall overweight people have the same problem
On a related note, on the weekend I wore shorts out in public for the first time since I don't even remember when. Probably my early teens. Did they still ride up when I walked from my chubby legs? Yes, but they looked good enough that I didn't really care.11 -

My boss says that to me everyday. I'm finding it really annoying as I'm still working at losing about 20 lbs more. I'm back to the weight I was when I started working for her, but I'm still not at the healthiest weight for my height/body shape.
My recent NSV: getting back to the gym/exercising this week, I've missed it and was getting crabby. Last week I had to have a treatment for a health issue, and I suffered every single side effect going. Too sick to do anything but sleep the week away which sounds great in theory but was actually mind numbing boring.

I ate more than 2 meals a day for the first time in around 6 years last week, I'm finally coming around to the fact that putting weight on is good36

Last year had the hardest time finding a dress for Christmas parties. Now, with 50 lbs gone, I had 6!! options after only looking at one store. Shopping was a lot more fun this time.25

My size 6 (USA) red dress that I wore today is now way too big - possibly two sizes too large. (I bought it a few years ago when I weighed 138lbs. I'm 122, down from 168lbs in July)24

44lbs down, and I could now fit in a 36" pants comfortably. I was once wearing 42" pants.21

i had a junky ten days where it was too cold to move much and everything was stiff so i barely lifted at all. went to my regular trainer time and just wrote it off - didn't make even the base rep count of five for my top weights with either of the two lifts i tried.
but i reset the clock and started the 5's week all over again last monday or tuesday instead. i started out by doing the 50 hypertrophy reps for those lifts, expecting to still be limping. instead i got my overhead press sets done in 10 unbroken per set, and added 5 pounds to my deadlift and had very nearly the same progress there. that represents real progress, as i was just chunking my way through them in sets of 4-6 the last time.
so i re-did the 'fives' week and this time i got it right. not saying the heavy deadlifts were pretty at 155, but i only had one day of rest after the hypertrophy sets, so just getting them done was good enough for the circs. did the 60lb overhead press that i'd failed at before, and i did my bench hypertrophy yesterday and had the same experience of being able to go all the way in sets of 10 with an extra 5 pounds on the bar from last time.
so all of that felt good. and i brought my 'ice' bike down from the shelf for the first time this year, so being able to ride it under really quite awful road conditions last week was another small victory.14 -
I could do 10 push ups in one go. I started with 'knee' push ups on Nov 1st.29

I got hit an hour and a half ago and my brain still hasn't caught up to what happened. So basic and simple. I was getting ready for work and changing my shirt - I took my t-shirt off and my wife got this funny look and a smile on her face, walked over and started running her hand over my chest and shoulders.
She hasn't looked at me like that for years and I feel like a teenager (Waaaay in the rear view mirror!) who just saw his very first centerfold.
WHY ARE THE SMILIES SO LIMITED HERE?!?!?! I can't wait to get home tonight.58 -
Yesterday I tried on size 28 miss me jeans that I bought at a garage sale. I bought them a couple months ago hoping I would be able to fit in them soon. They fit! They were still too tight to wear in public but they buttoned and everything! When I started I was wearing size 31 jeans extremely tightly. I looked up the size chart to see what size 28 is equal to and it showed 5/6. That is smaller than I was in high school! In high school I weighed the same weight as I now (another NSV in itself). Last time I was this weight I was wearing size 9/10 jeans! Guess I must have more muscular legs now!18

Saturday I found a pair of jeans in my closet with tags still on them. I remember buying them because they were on sale and then they were just too snug so I stuck in away. Saturday I thought what the heck - let's just see and THEY FIT!!! Perfectly - so I have some time to wear them! This is my second pair that this has happened with thus proving the first pair wasn't a fluke! lol When you've got a lot of weight to lose and you haven't really reached a place where the weight loss is really obvious - it's stuff like this that helps to keep you moving forward.28

Packing away all my size 22-24 jeans, and fitting into size 18 (and they arent even snug)! 42lbs down29

Recently I was walking my dog in the park, not feeling particularly pretty. I had just got out of bed, hair in a tie, no makeup. A guy who was shooting hoops stopped me and introduced himself. He said he's noticed me walking my dog there before and wanted to tell me he thinks I'm beautiful. I about fainted! It's been a while since I've been complimented, and it was a bigger shock since I was looking just about my worst! Really made my day.50

My NSV's are usually age related, and today is no different.
I went to a birthday party with my granddaughter Kodi Rose yesterday. Sitting in the theater, a lovely little girl asked me "Are you Kodi's Gramma?"
I said "I am!"
She said "You sure look young for a Gramma"
I whispered to her, so Kodi and the birthday girl couldn't hear me "You are my favorite little girl here today!!"33 -

Mine is stuck, too....think it's catching? Lol. But we forge onward!10 -
I bought new pants in a smaller waist size that fit OK but will look even better as I keep working off the pounds. My wife was even encouraging me to get them as she said, "You are continuing to go down; time to lose the big pants." LOL16

We booked our WDW tickets for our upcoming holiday later this month, it includes the Memory Maker package. My NSV? I won't be afraid to be in these photographs!18

I finally went and bought a new bra yesterday after losing 22lbs (Yay!). Once I put it on with my clothes though it became obvious how ill fitting they are. I honestly had no idea I bad I looked What I thought was just slightly oversized is a baggy disaster. I'm happy clothes are too big but I'll have to find a cheap way to replace a few things in my wardrobe15
