I never thought those would be good as leftovers. Don't they go soggy?

If you cook the shells long enough, they don't. It also depends a lot on the ingredients though. The veggie ones have been a little soggy, but the chicken and beef ones that I make are nice and crisp even as leftovers :)

    You are rocking this!

    Thank you!

Weirdly enough, I keep having people ask me if I'll cook their meals for them lately. Like today, my co-worker saw my lunch and asked how much I'd charge to bring her lunch each day because I bring such healthy, tasty-looking treats with me to work and she can tell that I'm losing weight.

    I couldn't tell if she was joking or not... 0_o;

I tried it last spring and got shin splints so badly that I cried for about a week. ^_^; Then, I had a neighbor of mine tell me that I looked hilarious trying to run and I abandoned the proverbial ship.

I probably wouldn't bother except that I know that I love to run when I'm in shape :) Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it this time!

Your neighbor is a jerk. Don't let her/him stop you.
Im so sorry about the shin splints they are awful, I had them once myself and they stopped me for awhile too. I was trying to progress to quickly and payed the consequence. Most of the c25k start slowly and work up. Don't skip ahead. That is what I did.
You can also repeat weeks if you need to. It will take longer but will help you avoid troubles on the way.

I am not hungry but I do want to eat something besides the soup I had for lunch. I may need to go get something like wasabi peas. Just for some texture. :) I am working from home and just pawed through my cabinets looking for something. Needless to say there was nothing. I thought about cooking wild rice but a quarter cup is 110 calories, I'd be better off getting running out and getting wasabi peas. Or nuts. Or trail mix.

I dislike wanting something and not having it in my pantry. Yet it still happens. Sounds you are looking for crunch and extra flavor.

Oh I missed this. Then I was late so I'm only solo. Nicci already has 4. I'll sign up with you and LenGray and maybe Wendy? Are you going to officially join online? If so you can make us a team!

Yep, I'm officially registering tonight! :)@raymax4 @LenGray Would you two like to be in a group together with Patricia and I?

I did 2016 but gave up logging in like March. Having other folks do it too will help hold me accountable.

:) I think I will! I am going to try to get hubby into this too >:) lets see if my powers of persuasion is up for the task. I only have a few days to convince.

Yes and the Wasabi peas were perfect except the calories put me over yesterday and the salt spiked my weight today. :(

Spaghetti sounds awesome! :D I'm taking some chicken stew, a quesadilla, and some cake to work.

Honestly, quesadillas are like the ultimate lazy sandwich for me lol I make one or two batches and then just stuff my face with them the rest of the week.

I had stroganoff over rice last night. Very indulgent. I got to be good today.

My 2017 goals are weight room related, but if a team needs someone to round it out, I'll do it. If someone else really wants in, let them. Just let me know and I'll sign up.

Pretty much me, too. We lived in the boonies, so there wasn't anywhere to go anyway.

Doesn't it? I'm freezing and it sounds magical. But then, I had an instant mashed potatoes cup for lunch (and will be having canned soup in a little bit) which tasted like sadness and disappointment, so anything would be better. (I've had a stomach bug for the past week so trying to take it easy on my stomach but it makes most of my meals very sad).

:/ Hope you are feeling better soon. Bland doesn't do it for me neither.

I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. I ordered a desk attachment for my treadmill today but figured if I was going to be catching up on hundreds of emails I shouldn't just sit doing it. So I got inventive!

I have never thought of that. Consider yourself accused of walking on the job.

It's the last Friday of 2016, people! Anybody doing anything fun over the weekend? We're going over to a friend's house tonight to watch the UFC fights. That's gonna be fun!

I need to do a last minute donation to Goodwill Idaho Youth Ranch, so I'll be getting things together tomorrow and taking them in to donate. Plan to hit the gym, and then it's my niece's birthday party.

Sunday - church in the morning. Don't know beyond that.

    Monday - no plans...yet! ;)

This is the recipe I used--

    http://www.wellplated.com/sweet-potato-black-bean-quesadillas/

I'm lazy though, so I just spray PAM on one side of the tortilla, load it up, fold them over, and then put them in the oven for about 12 minutes at 425 F or until they're nice and brown. )

I'm going shopping today I.ll get the ingredients. Ill probably try them on Sunday.
    Thanks for the recipe.

This is amazing! I always love the success stories...

    http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10492715/1-year-in#latest

What have you accomplished in 2016?

My weight, ironically, is EXACTLY the same from my first weigh-in of the year to my last...179.8. But I'm down a whole pants size, went from not being able to do a pull-up to doing five in a row, deadlifting 315 pounds, and benching big girls plates. All in all, I'm calling 2016 a success!

Can't wait to see what 2017 is going to bring!

You are awesome. I consider 2016 a failure. I weigh more, pretty much stopped working out, made zero progress on my dissertation, barely rode and bailed on most races. 2017 will be better.

One of the VPs here at work has challenged me to start running again, so sure if there's a fourth group I will join. I have picked a couple of 5ks already. One in April and one in May that benefit Autism Speaks and the free medical clinic my church runs. (We are hoping to add a second clinic in the evenings this year. Currently we see patients on Thursday nights and we have a retired OB/Gyn who sees patients on Tuesday mornings.)

Next step: find a training program for the 5k.

Welcome!
