Patricia, better leave me out of that 1-day Sunday challenge. I'm wheelchair bound at the moment and it would be a bit silly for me to be sitting at the bottom with zero steps!

Will do, or if I forget, just don't accept!

I signed up! Has anyone not signed up yet? Because when I signed up I got a promo code for 5 dollars off for anyone else who wants to join. :)

I got one too but couldn't figure out how to use it so just paid full price. :(

so... if I am going to do 2 challenges for next week I need to know who goes where.

    "high steppers'
    Susie
    Tobi
    Tami?
    Victoria
    Danny

    "low steppers"
    Nicci
    Melissa
    Lee Ann
    Tamara
    Lois
    Chrissy

Anyone I am missing? Or anyone want to move groups? I have to be in both if I start both.

Me, me!! I'm a low stepper. :grimace:

I don't think we have ever been fitbit friends. Can you send me a request? Oberon21 and I'll add you to the group!

    These are gorgeous

Thanks! My husband did a great job picking them. They are really grippy on the sole and I love them!

They have some serious ankle support. Nice job, Denny.

I'm afraid that I'm going to have to bow out of the runto2017 thing. I didn't realize there was a price tag attached and I'm still woefully broke from Christmas :frowning: Hopefully, next year my pocketbook will be up to the task lol

That said, I'd be more than happy to support you guys on here and I'm still planning to track my mileage.

Track anyway and you can report back each week individually with the rest of us!

I've been using the Walmart grocery service for a few weeks, where you place your order online, and they bring it out to your car for you. It just dawned on me what the absolutely best part of the service is. My son cannot hit me up 100 times per shopping trip to buy him a toy, or Pokemon cards, or Nerf bullets, or...

I'm never shopping in the actual store again! LOL

I keep meaning to try this and I haven't done it yet. I really need to get on that! I really like shopping in the store though because I'm a weirdo and I like to see what's new too. Ah well.

I LOVE grocery shopping. Would it be too weird if I said it's the highlight of my week? :D I'm like a kid at Disneyland at the grocery store!

 I'm the same way. It's bad, usually my grocery bill is like twice what I planned for that reason. Oops!

I had a bit of an upswing this year, but then I realized something. Here's what the last three years look like:

    Year 1 Start: 189 lbs
    Year 1 End: 176 lbs
Year 1 lowest weight: 171 lbs
    Year 2 End: 165 lbs
Year 2 lowest weight: 160 lbs
Year 3 (now) end: 150 lbs
    Lowest weight: 146

So this is happening. It's slow, and I go up and down within a five pound range or so, but I'm going in the right direction.

    You are doing great!

I just realized Danny and I are not actually fitbit friends. I guess Lois at some point added him to the challenges and I never was friends with him! I just sent a friend request.

Mo I always considered you and Quick as the exercise goddesses of this threads and that you can do things us mere mortals can not do. please don't take my exercise birth meme as something mean. hope you had a great birthday.

Wendy, that is SO sweet, but I just do what I do. I really am not that impressive. I fail A LOT but I don't give up, I keep trying to make progress. I think that's all anyone can do.

Quik, on the other hand, really IS a Wonderwoman! If we weren't friends, I'd be scared of her.

Side note: I don't think you could be mean if you tried.

Happy Thursday. I am ready for 2016 to be done. Tired of losing people this year. My girlfriend lost her dad just a few days before Christmas and he was only 56. We never know when our time will be, so love fiercely and often.

On a brighter note, I have signed up along with several of us to do the 2017 in 2017 challenge. I know with all of us on the team we will reach our goal. This will be one of the motivating factors in my getting back to exercise.

I thought about doing that, but I am chained to my desk about 6 or so hours a day and even when I park at the end of our parking lot, that only adds about 200ish steps. My goal is to get 5000 steps in each day and most of the time unless I just wander around at work, it's a cardio day, or we do a lot of shopping, I don't make it. I'm amazed at people that can get 20000+ steps in on a regular basis. @kelly_c_77 I'm looking at you!

No lie, my grocery budget is the BIGGEST budget of all of my monthly budgeting categories. I put enough in that category to buy ALL the "Ooh, shiny!" new food-stuff!
