what if we aim for 2017 by 1/17?

We can, but isn't that a bit like lowering the bar just so you won't fail? :p

I think it is called realism, Susie.

    I don't like realism, dang it! :D

Patricia, better leave me out of that 1-day Sunday challenge. I'm wheelchair bound at the moment and it would be a bit silly for me to be sitting at the bottom with zero steps!

    Oh no what happened?

I have a neurological disorder. :) When it flares up, my legs become partially paralyzed and I can't stand on my own or walk. I've been lucky this year, my last flare was in January--I almost made it a whole year without one. :)

I am sorry you are stuck again, Susie, but I am glad it was so long between episodes this time.

Thanks, Mel. :) Thankfully it's a lighter flare this time, and I'm hoping it won't last too long. My Fitbit probably thinks I'm being a lazy slob. :D

I have kicked myself in the rear today. I just sat down and logged what I ate, um, let's just say, I won't need to eat again until Sunday, maybe....

Haha, sorry! Hmmm, aside from foodie news, I think the only other new thing going on with me is that I'm thinking about starting C25k. Well, a pre-C25k program anyway.

I'm a bit nervous because it'll mean that I'm lifting weights 3x/week and jogging 3x/week, but I really want to run again and feel as though my fitness level is up for it. That, and I think it would be great to see my dad waiting for me at the finish line of my first 5k :D

Like every week I say I'm going to start C25K. Downloaded the app and everything. My treadmill probably cries itself to sleep at night due to loneliness and neglect. ;)

My stationary bike is probably thinking gee I hate being a clothes rack :D.

That must be aggravating knowing how much you like to walk. I hope you get better soon.

My workout kicked my behind today. It was worth it, since I really felt like I pushed myself but now I want to have second dinner, I'm so hungry!

Happy Thursday. I am ready for 2016 to be done. Tired of losing people this year. My girlfriend lost her dad just a few days before Christmas and he was only 56. We never know when our time will be, so love fiercely and often.

On a brighter note, I have signed up along with several of us to do the 2017 in 2017 challenge. I know with all of us on the team we will reach our goal. This will be one of the motivating factors in my getting back to exercise.

I thought about doing that, but I am chained to my desk about 6 or so hours a day and even when I park at the end of our parking lot, that only adds about 200ish steps. My goal is to get 5000 steps in each day and most of the time unless I just wander around at work, it's a cardio day, or we do a lot of shopping, I don't make it. I'm amazed at people that can get 20000+ steps in on a regular basis. @kelly_c_77 I'm looking at you!
Thanks, Mo. I'm a nut though. My average is 40,000 now. :#

My six week average is 18,000. I need to bump that up by 2000 steps so Mo will be amazed at me! ;)

18000 is indeed something to be proud of. Do you guys just never sit down, or constantly swing your arms around, or what?! Seriously, that is unreal!

For those curious, here are my current 5x5 stats.

    Squats - 175 lbs.
    OHP - 75 lbs.
    Deads - 195 lbs.
    Bench 115 lbs.
    Rows - 125 lbs.

    2016 5x5 goals

Squats - 200 lbs. (at least once) (I'm going to try this tomorrow)
    OHP - 80 lbs.
Deads - 200 lbs. (I'm going to attempt this tomorrow)
Bench - 115 lbs. Well, would you look at that, I accomplished this goal
Rows - 115 lbs. I surpassed this goal, yay, me!

I am not setting weighlifting goals or weight goals, but I want to just keep making progress. Keep moving forward. #slowprogressisstillprogress

    A few other things
    1. I was at Complete Nutrition a week ago finishing up Christmas shopping for my honey and the guy helping me was looking for some samples to send me on my way with. He looks at the fat burners and says, "Well, you obviously don't need any of those." I felt like the Cheshire Cat my smile was so big.
    2. I'm beyond excited that I get to hang out with my favorite person tomorrow in my sweats and not have to do any peopling.

Good job on the logging and being honest, Lee Ann!

I hope this is super short flare, Susie! That's great about getting through almost a year without one!!

    Seriously, just ouch, Tami.

    You're a beast, Mo!

Len, good job on the workout. Hope you ate a little extra something!

Those are some great goals, Mel!

You have logged that is a start. I can't stay under goal unless I log as I go. I did not have a Phone for 2 months and had a horrible time keeping on track because I couldn't log it before I ate it.

Happy New Year's Eve everyone. It's going to be a long day unless I take a nap. Got up early, for no reason really. Started some black eye peas for later and started some wash going. I hate house cleaning. It is never ending. Looking forward to my vacation in February when I don't have to constantly clean my house. I may just burn it down when I get back. I know no one will have cleaned before I get home.
